When the tech came to my window he shared the options available and pointed to the shop price board. I choose the economy option and he responded they don't have it. Interesting not to have the more affordable option at all. Checked out and when the tech came back with the paperwork he said we were finished and he would walk the car out. I reminded him I still needed my card. From there I waited another 30 mins more to be walked out. The tech said the service man was having trouble with the skid but then he whispered he took the wrong thing off and the tech responded "sometimes you have to take the wrong thing off to learn which one is right." I felt for bad service man who was struggling because he clearly needed help and no one around was trained enough to offer it. The oil change took almost an hour. Crazy disorganized for a new store and lacking mature skillsets. Avoid this place and you won't regret it.

I'm getting the car ready to sell, but it's been sitting in the Florida heat without being driven for a while, so it took a minute to start before the five minute drive from my house, and wouldn't start right up when they pulled it in the bay. The mechanic said the car should have started right up because a jumped/struggling battery should be charged up after just a five minute drive. I knew a new battery was on my list, but the mechanics weren't sure if it was the battery or the blower causing my AC issues, and the cheapest battery at Jiffy Lube was $200. I've gotten the $90 battery for this car for years, and advanced auto parts is visible from Jiffy Lube, so I said I would try that first before going the $900 route. I even said I would come back! I thought that was reasonable, but the mechanic said "they won't put it in for you like we do here," to which I said they always have in the past (and they did ten minutes later.) His last attempt to keep/intimidate my business was to tell me that it wasn't safe for me to drive my car to the visible advanced auto parts maybe 800 feet away, and I should call a tow truck to another mechanic if I didn't want to use them. My car started right up, I drove over to advanced auto parts, and a very nice man named Tony sold and installed my $90 car battery. While he was installing it, he noticed Jiffy Lube left a cap off of something and didn't screw it back on, and I found a second cap sitting oddly enough in my drivers side door pocket. This location at Michigan and Delaney is dependable and quick - 15 minutes in and out for an oil change just as advertised. When I pulled into the business, I was greeted by Matt. I said I just needed an oil change, and he said to pull in behind the car in the bay area, and I would have no more than a 2-3-minute wait. True to his word, I pulled in within 3 minutes, and he was ready to service my vehicle. He properly explained my options, as well as any additional services I could consider after the free maintenance check. Similar to my last visit, no hard sell, just things to consider even for future service.
