Dealing with the quality of nursing services and underhanded tactics that this company's management uses was beyond a nightmare. I dealt with them for the past five years, and if it were possible to do it over....I would prefer to try any other possible company except this one. Be very careful what they tell you vs. what you sign. For a supposed non-profit, this company is NOT run right, and this starts at the top. Deal with them and you too will learn the hard way. There are some nurses are very good. Just as many, if not more, are beyond awful. Nurses won't show up. No notice, just don't show up. They insert nurses into the schedule who are not trained to the patients specific care, they just add them into schedule. Some work some don't, the patient really suffer in that kind of hiring/firing process. The ones who don't work do things that you would believe. They tell you every nurse ..."she/he is highly skilled and comes so highly recommended", then you quickly realize over and over they are just feeding you lines. So long as the scheduled hours are full they collect regardless of the quality of care. Nurses fell asleep on the job overnight most nights. They lost vital medicine somehow, regularly, between the medicine cabinet and the person they were caring for in the other room. We had painkillers go missing. Even meds that were crucial to the patient staying alive!! I can't describe in words adequately how poorly we were treated by this company. I watched them take advantage of our situation, and I hate to think of how many future families will go through the same thing with northeast!! You just don't know how bad this company is until it's too late. Learn from our experience. There are many other nursing companies you can try. This one should be prosecuted. I truly would recommend any other nursing agency in front of this one.....or go with out. I come from a kind, understanding, educated, caring based family. Never ever let northeast clinical services/northeast nursing care for your loved one. Consider any alternative that is possible would be my advise from out experience. Best of luck

His muscles were breaking down from non mobility. ( he's in his 80's) He was sent to a rehabilitation facility for PT , rest and what have you . It didn't go well ! He ended up signing himself out' because the care wasn't very good . Needless to say he ended up back in the hospital. The hospital recommended that he go to a rehabilitation facility for Physical Therapy and care . He refused to go back to the previous facility. Thankfully he didn't !!!!!! He was sent to a place called Hathrone Hill in Danvers Ma . If I could give this facility 10 Stars I would! From the first time I went to visit to the day he was released, I was impressed! You are greeted by friendly and informative staff. They show you how to check in and give directions to the room . As my husband and I went to the elevator we noticed how clean everything was. We also noticed the PT areas and activity areas were also very well maintained. We made over way to our friend room and dinner was being served. OMG ! It looked , smelt and from what he said , tasted delicious. ( the other facility's food wasn't even close to being that good ). I don't think it's appropriate to name them as I don't write bad reviews. Hathrone Hill is worth writing about. I think it's hard enough to see a family or friend going through medical issues. So having a place you feel comfortable with is a major stress relief ! I waited until my friend was released to write this because truthfully I was ready to write this review from day one ! I waited until he was released because I felt that I needed to write a review of this importants , that was not just the first impression but also the last! A Bad Experience. We chose Care Dimensions:Kaplan House in…read moreDanvers, MA for our loved one's end-of-life care after reading and hearing positive reviews. We made a last minute decision to switch and admit during a time of crises. Unfortunately, we did not have the same experience. I am sharing this review as a warning to other families who may be making this incredibly difficult decision. Our concerns were poor communication, limited patient check-ins, and staff making assumptions rather than taking the time to understand the individual patient's needs and wishes. We often felt that a "one-size-fits-all" approach was being used rather than individualized care. We were made to feel judged.. not my words.. these were the words of an aide on duty and told to back off and let them do their job. We also felt that family input was not welcomed or adequately considered. Despite communicating our loved one's wishes to staff, those wishes were not honored in the way we expected. We did not receive a consistent daily update or helpful info. regarding her condition or prognosis, which left us feeling uninformed, helpless and lost during an extremely critical time. We also had concerns about how some nurses and LNAs interacted with us and our loved one. We received a mix of care and icy interaction. In our experience, more training appeared to be needed in compassionate communication. There was a lack of communication with patients who were still lucid and able to express themselves rather than just giving orders to the patients not taking into consideration the patient's desires or needs for comfort. Our loved one entered Kaplan House lucid and able to stand on day one. By day two, she was unable to stand. By day three, she was having hallucinations, was unable to communicate, and then passed away. We understand that end-of-life decline can happen very quickly, but the lack of communication and our concerns about whether her individual needs and wishes were being adequately addressed made an already devastating experience even harder. We also experienced what appeared to be staffing limitations. There were times when we felt there simply were not enough staff available to provide the level of attention and individualized care we expected. I realize that every family's experience may be different, and I cannot speak for anyone else. This is simply what our family experienced. My strongest advice to families considering any hospice facility is: ask questions, clearly communicate your loved one's wishes, and stay involved and insist on a daily prognosis that we did not receive. If possible, have a family member present as much as possible. Families may not realize everything that is happening when they are not there. End-of-life care is an incredibly vulnerable time. However, if you are present overnight, insist on regular staff check-ins even if you stay - especially over night. Families deserve compassionate communication, individualized care, respect for the patient's wishes, not be judged, and to feel that their concerns are genuinely heard. I sincerely hope Kaplan House takes this feedback seriously and uses it to improve communication, staffing, compassion, and individualized care for future patients and their families. We made the mistake of changing hospice agencies last minute from Lahey Health at Home to Care Dimensions. The nurse who came out from Care Dimensions to admit did not know the situation and made harmful assumptions. Her inaccurate assessment set the tone for a traumatic 3 days which continues to this day. I waited to write this review to allow the grieving process. However, the experience has left me with ongoing unsettled sadness and regret for choosing Care Dimensions. Im giving 2 stars instead of one because one of the doctors was understanding and compassionate. Unfortunately, our contact with a doctors was towards the tail end of that misfortunate journey.

They got her lunch, made sure she took her medicine along with helping her with some of the household chores.
