Abdul's is like a fusion of indian food and an american fast food place, but in the best possible way.

Al-Quds - Look at the size of that naan

It was a red ford fiesta, banged up but our ticket to freedom. My best friend had managed to…read moresomehow keep it running for two years. The year was 2003. Fancy Al Quds tonight he said as we ransacked the fridge at our student house. The rest as they say is history. Since then I have been coming to this humble abode for a kobeda, for what is it now 11 years? How time flies. Every now and then I get the craving and I return for that perfectly baked longitudanal tandoori naan (the size of my forearm) blanketing a juicy Kobeda. The set up is simple, they have a fridge with freshly prepared, perfectly marinated meaty skewers of various varieties. You go in, you point at one and 4 minutes later you can enjoy the best meat in Rusholme. Now if I have previously I don't remember but I recently tried the chicken tikka recently. And low and behold it was one of those rare "Holy moly batman" foodie moments. The sauce they marinated the chicken with was close to perfection, the chicken was tender and cooked with expert timing. It was a thing of beauty, the memory of which still lingers, enticing me back into its delicious arms once again. I have thus far resisted, I'm reserving it for specific moments. Namely special celebratory occasions and those morale boosting occasions when life hasn't been nice. I'm fairly certain I'll be returning when neither are relevant and I just happen to be driving past it. I may even knock myself out cold with food coma by ordering a Kobeda/Chick tikka mix *gulp*. It could be my manvfood moment. Admittedly I don't think I'm that way inclined. Because if it was gonna happen it would've already. It's been on the menu for 11 years. No seriously go check it out if you are a carnivore. Word of warning though, your first Kobeda experience will leave all your hunger concerns dealt with for 24 hours at least. So if you plan on eating three meals a day the next day, take a rain check.

The food is fresh from the clay ovens, and you can see that the kebabs are freshly grilled with fresh sauces dripping from either ends. If you're at this moment, I urge you to go to this place and give their donner kebabs a try! It would reflect curry mile at its best! Al Quds is truly a place for excellence in all of the very competitive Curry Mile!

I have been meaning to review this store for a while, located near enough inbetween Santander and Lloyds Bank on Mosley Street in Piccadilly Gardens, the branch is a little small considering it is one of the main branches serving Manchester city centre, and is quite a wide yet short store, with limited seating. The staff didn't seem too friendly, and just the typical staff you would associate with a fast food chain. The gluten free situation here is very poor, with the only gluten free options being a side salad with no dressing, applesauce and french fries, even the hash browns have gluten in, which is poor show, even they wouldn't be classed as gluten free just without wheat due to contamination issues being highly likely, making this a place to avoid for coeliacs, but it is a place to avoid if you are gluten free anyway, joining KFC in being the worst fast-food chains for gluten free options, but as a coeliac at least I can have the fries here! Overall, this Burger King branch isn't really nice, with limited seating, the only thing that makes it stand out in a nice, welcoming way is the sign, but as you walk in it changes to the dramatic opposite, so with so many places in Manchester sadly I don't feel why someone would chose to go to this one due to all poor aspects of the store mentioned, warranting a single one star.

I was disappointed by my experience here, as it let me down even for McDonald's standards. This location seems to be rather poor for pedestrian access, I do think it is more designed for its drive-thru, due to having to dodge cars to get inside. This was also made worse by the lack of a seating area, the majority of the seats and tables were blocked off for a staff-only area, which wasn't even being used! This meant that the customers inside the building were packed into a tight area, with very limited tables, I totally understand reserving one or two tables for staff members, but reserving the largest seating area, leaving very little space for paying customers makes no sense. I did find service to be pretty slow, I selected the Table Service option and my food took well over ten minutes to arrive. They had also forgotten straws/cutterly with my order, which meant I had to go back to the counter, defeating the point of offering table service in the first place. My food wasn't even that warm, which considering they make the burgers fresh to order due to my allergy (I am unable to eat gluten, so had to order without a bun), was all the more strange. It makes me think my order was waiting for quite a while, and this restaurant must hate offering table service! 2* - 24-7, drive-thru are the main perks, I wouldn't visit again unless I had no other choice, and even then I wouldn't use table service!
