Dr. Zoobi is by far my favorite dentist I've ever been to. Not only because he does a good job but he makes sure you're feeling okay while he's doing any type of procedure. Also explains every step and why you need whatever you may need done. And office is also very nice, they try to find you a time slot ASAP or if someone cancels; they reach out.. and this was a couple years ago. Dr. Zoobi has been our family dentist for over ten years. I recently visited the Upper East Side branch and was blown away by the his brand new office. The girl at the front desk welcomed me with a warm smile and offered me water and the most delicious coffee! I was seen by Dr. Campbell and I couldn't be happier. He also greeted me very warmly. He introduced himself and explained everything to me in detail. Dr. Campbell was very patient and kind. I did not feel any pain which was a huge relief. Nothing special, but they get the job done (and take my insurance!). I've never had Zoobi at Elements Dental in Astoria, but a younger female dentist who I thought was quite good. Dr. Zoobi was my dentist. Until today. First I show up fifteen minutes early and I am not seen for another 40 minutes. There are no other patients in the office! Then I am brought in to have my cleaning where I am introduced to a different dentist. I am told Dr. Zoobi "only does implants now". WTF?!! The new dentist, that I have never met, asks me why I came in today. This was a scheduled visit from months ago to clean some plaque buildup on some of my teeth. To recap: first they are late bringing me in even though there were no other patients there. Then I am told my dentist is no longer my dentist because he only does implants. Where do I start, cause I could write a book about my experience and care received by Dr. Zoobi and his team members. I was first introduced to Dr. Zoobi in 2011 by my dad who has been a patient of his for about 6 or so years at a time, well now 9 years later he's still a satisfied patient of his. I have had different issues and complications with my teeth over the years. From baby/milky teeth that were breaking in which makes me in 1 in 20 000 that experiences it at an adult age to root canals, and wisdom extractions, implants and so on. But Dr. Zoobi was able to solve so many of those issues and rid me of pain and discomfort. He's done my root canals and implants and he was always very reasonable with any payments I had to make out of pocket. His staff is very friendly and professional as well. Don't believe these positive reviews. Must be posted by his friends and family. Dr Zoobi is a charlatan. He does a botched job. He did a filling for me that promptly fell out the same night and guess what it wasn't even the right tooth. Don't go here. He does unnecessary procedures and runs a chop shop to make money of his Medicaid base that has no idea what a professional dentist should be like. read more

Dr. Zoobi's attention was very much divided during my visit. He was switching back and forth between seeing me and at least one other patient. He didn't even have time to introduce himself before asking me to open my mouth. When he began to explain the procedures I'd need, he noticed he had a text message and stopped talking to me to respond to the text. Another friend also saw him and felt that the Dr was inattentive. Dishonest doctor .. if there is 0 star i will give him this review. He told me i need deep cleaning and 2 root canal and 2 crown.. he wast time calling the insurance taking approval for tooth 4,5 and 30 Rubbing the insurance for unnecessary work .. i transfer from him to Chinese doctor in flushing told me i need only one filling and my teeth is perfect. Very prompt in getting me to cleaning even though I was actually 30 minutes late for my appointment. The hygienist was very thorough in her cleaning and made sure I was comfortable as well as explaining how I should improve on brushing to hit problem areas. I really like Dr. Zoobi. I have TMJ and I explained that over the phone as I was looking for a dentist or hygenist that would tear my mouth open. He took the time with me to provide a cleaning with a lot of "breaks" so my mouth wouldnt have to be open for an extended amount of time. He is very kind and really seems to care. The only thing I will say is that his office could be a little more quiet. There seems to always be kids running and playing in the waiting room. I am assuming they are children of the hygenist. And one time I asked for a toothbrush and they had run out. I asked why when they are a denstist office how can they not have an extra toothbrush she seemed to get all defensive. However the gentleman who answers the phones and schedules the appointments stepped in and was very polite to me apologizing. Unfortunately I cannot remember his name but he is always friendly. Dr. Abdulla is very caring, professional and a great dentist with the human touch in him. It is really hard to find a doctor you could trust, someone who doesn't push to get done unnecessary work just to drive up the sale. I have so much dental work done, and he told me exactly what do I need, what can wait and options to try out. Unfortunately, my insurance doesn't cover for his clinic, but the services this clinic provides, it has the most affordable prices in the neighborhood. When I first moved to Astoria I knew sooner than later I would have to eventually find a dentist to go to. Everyday to and from work I would pass Dr. Zoobi's office and I finally called and made an appointment. For someone who does not like going to the dentist this was not an easy decision for me. To my relief I made the right choice. Dr. Zoobi is kind, gentle, and most importantly a Fantastic dentist! He gave me the best cleaning I have ever had! For my appointment with Dr.zoobi, he took such great care of me and payed close attention when I explained to him how I was feeling. I needed a root canal, and was so nervous. Dr. Zoobi was so patient with me and took such great care in explaining everything he was doing or about to do. When he was finished with the root canal, I had to ask him twice if he was finished, because I honestly, did not feel any pain!!! I could not believe it!! He is so quick and efficient, and I am truly happy to have found him as my dentist!!! I told my parents about him, and they went and said the same thing. wow- I'm not sure about that last review! I've been going to Dr. Zoobi for the last 3 years and he's been nothing but the best dentist I've ever had. I embarrassingly admit my dental hygiene wasn't the best growing up so it's no shock that now that I'm an adult I have dental problem. But every time I've gone to Dr. Zoobi, he was more than helpful and excellent at working with me to take care of the problem without doing extra unnecessary work (aka milking me for extra money). The staff is always professional and kind and very attentive. The wait time has never been more than 20 minutes and even as I wait, someone from the staff would poke their head out to make sure the waiting patients were okay. I've never felt rushed there and he's been so through, explaining exactly everything he was going to do. I don't live in Astoria anymore and it takes me about an hour to get out to him, but it's worth it. Highly recommend his services. read more
