The only ones available were in the pre-cut area starting at $125. Instead of heading home we decided to look for another place close by and were fortunate to find 4-C's. Night and day difference in selection. We wandered around in the mud for at least 45 minutes trying to decide on which tree to get and what size. In the end we cut our own 9' Spruce. All their trees are flat rate, this year was $70 for a Spruce and $60 for Douglas Fir. They had a lot of trees to choose from in either the u-cut or pre-cut. Very nice people working here who told us the prices when we drove in and handed us a saw. While they don't have the gift shop, santa, train, etc. of other places we'll come back next year for our tree.

The outdoor decorations are the same this year as they were last year: the pirates scene, the…read morehaunted forest and the graveyard scene. Each scene has some animation. The moving haunted tree is still my favorite. I will probably visit him every year. This year they barely have any giant pumpkins and instead they were giving away a car (cheesy), so I'm deducting a star. It's still free to view the scenes and enter in the dark haunted trailer. They still have pumpkins of various sizes and a snack bar.

Hundreds of items on display and for sale, the cheapest I saw were about $28 but those were not very unique in color or design, and there was just so much to explore and lovely art to admire even if pricey. Everything spread out pretty well too. When you first walk up, it feels like an easter egg hunt with lots of colorful goodies "hidden" in the grass, underneath trees, and in various shelves and containers, and visitors roaming the grounds filling their baskets. But it's definitely not a place to let your kids run around, as pretty much everything is fragile. They also have glass blowing demonstrations where they teach visitors about the craft, which is cool, though I'm more interested in the art aspect of it rather than the science. There were two food trucks total on site, one of them an ice cream truck (Mister Softee), so really just one serving actual food (Oaxacan Kitchen). Luckily we didn't come for the food. We did get ourselves a perfectly imperfect tiny glass pumpkin and adorable multi-colored snail, so we went home happy. Great event, with on-site parking available too.

Normally we head up to the mountains to cut down our own Christmas tree, but during these Covid-19…read moredays, we discovered that our two regular places were shut down for the season. Not wanting to risk a long and winding drive to the other farms to possibly find them closed or overcrowded, we decided to relent and go to one of the local lots. We had gotten a tree here once several years back, and decided to give it another chance. With this coronavirus thing going on, it appears that most customers have been pre-ordering the trees for pickup. We didn't do that, because we like to see the trees before purchasing. When we arrived, there were only a small handful of customers - and only a handful of trees left. Fortunately, nearly all of the remaining ones were quite nice, and it took us literally one minute to identify the tree that we wanted. It took longer to review the safety protocols with the person at the entrance than to find the tree. The tree was netted as we paid, which was a nice courtesy since some places charge for this service. Be advised that these trees are more expensive than most other lots, and considerably more expensive than the cut-your-own farms. But you're getting convenience and quality, and also supporting a local charitable organization.

As first-time parents, we were so excited to start this sweet birthday tradition with our son, and instead, the experience was completely ruined because of how we were treated. I completely understand having policies, but there's a way to enforce them with kindness and empathy--especially when it involves a child celebrating their first birthday. Small parking lot. They had us wash our hands when we arrived and then each kiddo had a color sheet with crayons. Nice touch but defeats the purpose of washing our hands first. The two of us shared a table with another mom with their toddler. Each toddler had their own set up to make 6 cookies. Everything was pre measured and it wasn't too messy. We were able to bake 6 cookies and use whatever toppings - she got to choose between chocolate chips, m&ms, white chocolate chips and these dried fruits. They read a book to the kids and then made milk shakes as a group. Each kid got a small cup and to place chocolate chips/m&Ms in. The cookies were really delicious and my child loved the milk shake. One thing is that you can't stop other kiddos from touching your items/food. Would return.

Pros: The shared table experience was great for meeting new people and having extra sets of brains for multitasking. Cons: Seating is random and the experience is shared; ie: one burner for 4, and the end products are shared. Our dish ended up being over-salted, and our experience was halved in interactive-ness due to the luck of the draw of seating. Never have I had a spoon or spatula taken away from my hands so fast before. And most certainly never have I had someone critique the knives and actively give the duller knife to us. This shared table experience was essentially a fight for all (for us). BUT this is just dependent on the attendees and who you're seated with. The other shared tables didn't seem to have such issues. For a more interactive learning experience, I recommend the private table to avoid the risk of randomization. On the bright side, we got to see how other couples interact, whether it was actively taking items from their partner's hands because they were doing the task wrong (ie: mixing eggs wrong??) or the couple next to us taking cute photos of each other and sharing drinks while enjoying their time together. The structure of the class was decent, organized, and well-paced. All ingredients were measured and prepared. Baking, cleaning, and chilling items were taken care of by staff. Prepping the dish (ie: battering items, mixing ingredients) and active cooking were the only things needed to be done. The instructor would explain the ingredients provided and the instructions during the instruction period for the dish at hand. Following the instructions, prep/cooking occurs while the instructor supervises and provides aid or guidance as needed. All in all, I had a great experience. The staff was nice, especially the instructor, and I felt taken care of during my cooking class experience. Would return for pasta night-- most definitely for the private table experience.
