Be careful everyone! They are extremely shady and run scams left and right. Please read my experience so you are more educated. My mother parked her car in front Tea Bar (1636 Palisade Ave Fort Lee, NJ 07024), got out of her car and walked into Tea Bar. NOTE: SHE DID NOT LEAVE THE PLAZA PREMISE AT ALL. She came out roughly 110min later and her car was gone. My mom called me and I drove over to the plaza and discovered a sign that said ABC Towing was the responsible party for all towing jobs in the area. I called them and explained to them that my mother's car was illegally towed. They told me that the security guard called them to pick up the car since it was illegally parked. We drove to ABC Towing and asked for the phone number of the security guard or the security company since we could not find the guard at the plaza. ABC Towing told me that they did not have the phone number which was Lie #1 cause how could you not have any information on a company that consistently calls you for your services? Everyone has caller ID so I asked to take a look at it and they said it was broken...Lie #2. We called Tea Bar and they were of ZERO help to us even though my mom was their customer. They only said they would verify that my mom was a customer at said times. We needed the car since my mom had to go to work so I asked the lady at ABC Towing how much it would be to get the car. She told me $150 for first three hours. I had no cash so I left and came back with the money. This time another guy was at the front desk. I told him the situation and he said getting the car would cost $200 (even though it was well under the 3 hour time limit). I told him I was clearly told $150 and he insisted I pay $200. After some back and forth arguing, he took the $150. So we finally got our car after 2 hours. The following day we found the security guard and dragged him to Tea Bar to explain the situation and asked why our car was towed. He claimed that he doesn't remember calling in a Honda Accord. I asked to look at his records (cause he MUST have one, right?). He said that he didn't keep records. He just called the towing company and gave them the COLOR OF THE CAR AND WHERE IT WAS LOCATED. NO CAR MAKE OR LICENSE NUMBER. WTF???? After he realized he was wrong, he called ABC Towing and explained the situation to them and we drove to ABC Towing where they returned our $150 without saying a word which seems strange to me cause you would assume that the towing company would require SOMEONE (in this case, the security guard/company) to pay them $150 for their services. Nope. None of that. Clearly they were in cahoots with each other. Anyways, we did get our money back but not after wasting many hours even though we did NOTHING wrong. I have couple experiences towing my car. Each time I appreciated reliable and trustworthy services like DeMaur and Bell Towing. Only this ABC Towing was different. They made a big scratches. And just kept saying cash cash cash. Why they don't accept credit card? Was their any reasons trying to hide revenues? I don't know if they can offer something good service for others? Believe all the scam reports. IF your car gets towed, get it out of there ASAP. First off they "only take cash if your car was towed", although they will take debit and credit card if you hire them yourself, and you can clearly see they have the machines there to accept VISA and Mastercard. VERY SHADY I am sure it is so they can pocket what they try to rip off. I was very luck that Cliffside Park attached the prices to the release form. First they charged more for my car, then they tried to charge me for two days of storage when my car was there less than 12 hours. As soon as I pointed out the listed prices attached to release form, I got my money back no questions asked. I gave them the money and then saw the charges on the receipt. On 10/19 my car was towed by ABC Towing for being parked in a permit only spot in Fort Lee. The next morning I tracked down my car and paid the 220$ fee to get it back no questions asked. When I pulled out of the lot my car was all over the road and completely uncontrollable. I quickly pulled over and called the company back and brought my car back to have the guy look at it because they clearly messed something up. The truck driver inspected my front end which looked fine and straight. I parked my car overnight and the next day had a friend look at it. He found my rear control arm (1 inch thick piece of metal) snapped in half on my driver side rear wheel. After calling and speaking with Greg, I tried being very nice and explaining that I understand mistakes happen and all I want is for them to repair the car. After jerking me around for 3 or 4 days saying "let me see what I can do" and failing to call me back multiple times he finally said he refuses to pay for the damage and if it's that important then I can take them to small claims court. THIS IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. I honestly do not know how this company is in business. They have come to my rescue more than once. The last time was when I drove over something on the highway (route 80) during a heavy storm. They arrived promptly, towed my car and got me and my daughter safely back to a safe spot to attend to our tire. The driver was professional and put us at ease in a very scary situation. Can't say having to get your car towed is a pleasant experience but ABC Towing helped save the day quickly and courteously. They arrived within a half hour of me calling them and also gave me a ride home. Furthermore they dropped off my car safe and sound to the dealership where it could be fixed for me.
