This is perhaps the worst bank in existence today. I thought WellsFargo was bad but these guys are…read morethe preeminent rulers in the category of "Bad Banks." Every single thing they do surpasses the previous unfriendly horrible thing they did. They literally have zero, notta, zilch respect for their customers. You will call a branch and will be debit attempt to get a teller, representative or manager and they will not answer the phone (try 6-8 times...no one picks up the damn phone!). You will try and set up an auto debit payment and it will take you months before they are able to make it work. Call in and you will be demanded to provided a debit card PIN number when all you have is a car loan. Then you have to work around providing a number you don't have. You will have to confirm, confirm and reconfirm acct numbers, receipt of a deposit and identity before auto debiting your loan payment. Then they will assess a late fee. They love charging you fees...they in fact lie in wait for the opportunity. They removed 6 late fees before my auto debit went into effect. I wanted a payoff on my car loan (First Citizens was the car dealers required bank to get a $1500 manufactures discount). They can't produce a letter of current balance payoff. They will might or might not email you a payoff notification or you can wait 3-6 days to receive one in the mail while daily interest charges accumulate or wait for the payoff to arrive long after the amount expires. Can you read between the lines the fact that I hate, hate, hate this bank and all their archaic systems which is one click above a dos computer system. They are one of the most heavily bureaucratic neurotic systems ever created. Not one single thing they do is a user friendly interface. If you have a choice between setting your hair on fire and putting it out with a hammer or opening a First Citizens Bank account...set your hair on fire!! You will thank me for letting you know the better option. Avoid this bank like toxic waste. Absolutely, the most epic fail in banking history!

Carolina Shred was extremely easy to work with - they delivered the bin when I wasn't home and placed it exactly where I asked. Payment was easy, too. So far, so good.
