Setting up appts, request of refills, insurance is all an ease due to the excellent attentional to detail & communication. They also have an amazing patient portal which makes communication with Dr Supkay & her nurse very easy. You can also make refill requests & get lab results from the portal. I absolutely LOVE that Dr Supkay does NOT keep your lab results hostage. As soon as CPL completes them, Dr Supkay allows us to see them. And she follows up to discuss of course. She's willing to discuss what you eat, and how important nutrition is for your body, and getting the weight off if you need to. Listen, I've got one son who hates doctors, but he loves her. Dr. Tran and her staff, Quinn and formerly Sylvia whom we will miss so much have not only taken care of our family medically but have carried us through some of the toughest personal times in our lives. When we enter that office Sylvia and Quinn ALWAYS greet us with a smile and ask us how our boys are doing (by name) and Dr. Tran always asks my husband and me about our family life and how our sons are doing even now that they are grown. I have to say, She is the most caring, considerate, intelligent and direct to the point . She spends a lot of time with her patients and doesn't prescribe unnecessary medications. Her patients trusted her with her care. Dr. Tran is really big on including complimentary and alternative medicine into her medical practice, promotes healthy living style ( exercises, diet, and screens for diseases), which most physicians don't have the time for nowadays, but this is the best way to get keep people staying healthy. Her diagnoses are very appropriate and accurate . She always makes sure her chronically ill patients are up to date with important lab works and follow up with medications to ensure they don't cause any adverse affects. I feel that her patients are very well cared for and they're very fortunate to have her as their primary doctor. All preliminary contact and sharing of information gave me the initial confidence of a well run practice. However, approximately two-months into them overseeing my Mother's medical care, I have to confess this has been one of the most discouraging patient-medical practice relationships I have experienced. Most of my concerns "appear" to stem from the operations of the clinical and office support staff. I don't know exactly where their operational breakdowns have occurred, as getting any communication and/or response from the office (to include the Medical Director) has been difficult at best. In defense of the Physician who examined my Mother, I was most pleased with his examination and subsequent medical recommendations made regarding my Mother's medical needs. However, every other element of the Practice failed. Communication and follow-through within the Practice is abysmal. The Practice did not follow-up on the Physician's Orders on medication removal or additions from her appointment with either myself or my Mother's senior living facility. This has put my Mother's overall health and safety at risk. In conclusion, I was very encouraged by the Physician's interest and assessment in providing my Mother with the best possible care. However, from an outcome based perspective, regardless of how credible the Physician might be, if those assessments and Orders don't get communicated to those entities implementing the actual care to the patient, the Physician's competency is academic. Hopefully, my experience is an anomaly, but tread with caution and ensure you do your due diligence in monitoring the full operation. Check and double-check that all encounter decisions are actually implemented.

The ER told me to go to a physician to get follow up care. I chose this place because it is close to my house. Dr. Tran didn't believe that I had kidney stones and kept saying I only had an infection. I kept getting similar symptoms down the road and she kept giving me antibiotics thinking it's a UTI instead of being concerned about why I was having all this flank pain and abdominal pain. I ended up in the ER again and a CT scan (and later ultrasound) proved I had stones. I switched to a new physician and saw a urologist. They were all baffled with how Dr. Tran couldn't catch that it was kidney stones when my symptoms were textbook. I guess maybe she absent the day kidney stones were studied in med school. She also kept trying to push her weight loss products and supplements to me. I'm not concerned about supplements when my kidney feels like it's about to burst. Avoid this place at all cost. It's sad that I had to go to the ER once more because of her misdiagnosis.
