We highly recommend ABC Learn and Grow! Our daughter has been with Vanessa and Jose for about a year, and will be moving to preschool soon. Her baby sister will start in a few months, and we can't wait. The environment and learning at ABC is wonderful; there's a mix of reading, art, movement (inside like yoga and dancing and outside play too!), creativity, and so much more. Our daughter comes home brimming with new knowledge, skills, and excitement every day. Vanessa and Jose provide great structure, but also flexibility. We love that there are updates sent most days too, with pictures and videos so we can get a glimpse at what she's doing. We also highly value the social skills Vanessa and Jose foster in the kids; our daughter has learned to take turns, share, speak politely, and care for others. Can't recommend ABC Learn and Grow enough! Our daughter (2.5) has been going here since she was 9 months old, and we truly love it. It's a small, family-run program that offers a warm, nurturing environment and follows the Mother Goose Time preschool curriculum. Each day follows a consistent routine with a great mix of indoor/outdoor hands-on and play-based activities. Since the group size is smaller, the kiddos get lots of attention and have formed the sweetest bonds with each other. We've gotten to know many of the other families and have built some wonderful friendships through this community. They also care for infants, so it's a mixed-age setting. Our daughter, now one of the older kids, absolutely loves interacting with the babies. It has been such a cool experience watching her grow and develop over the past couple of years. Outside of learning traditional skills (ABCs, numbers, etc), she is also learning how to interact with the world around her. She's kind, great at sharing, and polite. We credit a large part of that to the incredible environment Jose and Vanessa have created. Their program has given her such a strong foundation, and we're so grateful to have found it. read more

My daughter attended ABC Home Daycare for almost two years, and she always came home happy, clean, and well-fed. Vanessa and Jose do a great job giving multiple kids attention and developmentally appropriate activities. They also do a great job keeping kids healthy and their home is spotless. Many of my co-workers frequently had to call out sick because their daycares were constantly closing due to multiple illnesses, but this never happened to us, even during peak COVID periods. As our daughter grew older, she would wake up and say, "I want to go to daycare!" She loved it at ABC and we are sad she is moving on! Vanessa and Jose also helped her (and me) navigate potty training and were patient and supportive when she had accidents. Vanessa and Jose are amazing. Our son started with them at 6 months and is now leaving at 3 years old. They have gone above and beyond to care for him during this time. Our son required special attention as he had difficulty settling for a nap and taking a bottle. They always had such great communication around these challenges and would try anything and everything to make sure he slept and ate well each day. As a first-time mother, it was so comforting to have daycare providers who were both confident in their abilities and open to trying new approaches. Our son LOVES Vanessa and Jose. They set firm (and necessary) boundaries while showing empathy and love. They implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that keeps the kids so engaged.. it's really quite impressive! From the time I reached out to Vanessa and Jose (over a year and a half ago), they were very polite. They do what they love and it shows. They were patient with my child and helped ease her transition into the daycare. The homely atmosphere makes it easy for children to feel comfortable and allows more personal care than a traditional daycare setting. For a first time transition from home to an external environment, this was very helpful for us. Vanessa and Jose were also very flexible with our work schedules and accommodated extra hours on certain days for which I am grateful. They take good precaution against illnesses one might expect at a daycare, although containing these to a minimum is hard with younger kids. Overall, my child really enjoyed her time at ABC and it showed in her willingness to keep going back. For any parent looking for affordable, good quality care for your child, I highly recommend ABC :) read more

Our daughter attended ABC Home Daycare with Vanessa and Jose from 3 months old until she was two. Vanessa and Jose were so attentive, communicative, and kind. I always knew June (our daughter) was safe and loved. They clearly care so much about all the children who attend the daycare. June loved going to their house everyday. Jose and Vanessa are warm and welcoming and it is obvious they love working with children. Their home is incredibly clean and organized, filled with curated baby and toddler toys and play structures. Starting daycare and being away from mommy and home was a HUGE transition for him (and me lol) Vanessa and her husband, Jose were so kind, helpful, and warm. ABC Learning is such a safe, enriching haven for little ones! Vanessa took in our little one at such a young age and treated him like family, while helping track his development/health with such diligence. First off, the environment the second you walk through the door is immaculate. The organization, cleanliness, and thoughtful design for kids (inside and outside) is unmatched, especially for an at-home daycare. Communication is excellent. Vanessa has taken care of our twin girls for over a year and a half. Unfortunately, we had to find another daycare because of a new job. Vanessa and Jose have been great with the girls! Always caring and showing patience and dedication. They would send us photos regularly of daily activities. The daycare is equipped with plenty of fun and educational toys, as well as a big backyard for outdoor activities. Good communication is key and they both definitely excelled at it. Our youngest loves it there!! He knows he is going there and was waiting for the drop off every morning. He is always clean and happy at pick up and he even went down for a nap for them at day 1!! Had an emergency situation where we need a reliable and reputable daycare around our home area to place him in quick. I called 5 daycares/preschool within 2 hours time on a Friday and only three places picked up their phone/returned my call. Luckily Vanessa is one of the people who picked up the phone and just so happen to have openings for our son's age group (23mo+). After I explained our current childcare situation, she scheduled an on site visit with us that same evening. Their home is clean and inviting just like most daycares but they also have a large outside play area and large areas inside the home for the little ones to use. Vanessa sends photos and replies to my messages throughout the first two days and then by the third day, our little one started to wait for his morning drop off time to their house so there just wasn't a need to check in on him anymore. I just knew at that point we got lucky with this place. read more

My twins will be two in May and have been at ABC Daycare since they were four months old. In that time, Vanessa and Jose have created a warm and loving environment where my twins received nurturing attention and care. Putting your children in daycare, especially at such a young age, is a very scary thing. We toured several other providers and struggled with how impersonal and institutional many centers felt, and how disorganized and overly casual several home daycares seemed. In ABC Daycare we found the safety and organization of a formal center combined with the love and personalization of a home environment. It's the best of both worlds. Vanessa (owner) and her husband run the daycare and are very kind and pleasant. Being a first time mom, I was so nervous to leave my baby with anyone other than my husband. Vanessa is very sweet and replies to my million daily text messages to ensure me everything is okay, gives me status updates and is kind enough to send me pictures! My daughter always has a smile on her face when I come pick her up. Vanessa was great at getting back to me quickly when I started my research and set me up with a tour soon after my inquiry. We have been at ABC daycare for more than a year now. They have been a lifesaver for us. My son, now three years old has enjoyed all the games and activities they have. He has been having a difficult time with potty training and we started him at a preschool, that required him to be fully potty trained. When we realized he needed a little bit more time to perfect his bathroom routine Venessa and Jose graciously agreed to take him back with just a few days notice. They are so flexible and helpful, always willing to adjust their schedule based on the days that I need for daycare. And their prices are more than reasonable. If I could give more stars I would! Both my kids went to ABC Daycare with Vanessa and her husband Jose and they both loved it! My older son went 6 years ago and my youngest is going there now. Sadly we are moving so I have to take my younger son out, but if we stayed I would have my son go there as long as possible. They both learned so much there, songs, numbers, colors etc. Both my boys are very outgoing and VERY active (typical wild boys) and Vanessa and Jose we great with them! Very loving and patient with my kids. I never once felt worried for their safety or if they were getting treated badly or talked down to. My kids were always happy and never ever said anything bad about them or the facility. Vanessa and Jose took vacations, which normal people do and the normal holidays, but she always gave plenty of notice (months) so we could find the coverage. It was very rare if she closed to her/husband being sick, I can't hardly remember a time that happened. She is extremely reliable and trustworthy. I would recommend everyone to ABC Daycare! I wouldn't trust my kids with anyone else! Vanessa and Jose are like family and they will treat you child as if they were their own!! read more

However my position stands that Rottweilers friendly or not do not have a stable temperament and should definitely not be anywhere near children especially at a daycare facility. For our wedding in Sonoma, we had five toddlers who needed child care services for the ceremony and reception. We choose ABC Daycare and we couldn't be happier. All of the parents felt great about the experience and comfortable with letting their young ones play with Vanessa for a couple of hours. Last September I found myself in desperate need of a full time daycare for my 2 month old granddaughter. I immediately began making calls in Petaluma, and after speaking with a few daycare providers it became apparent that my work hours and her age were obstacles. I finally came across ABC and was given an appointment for a tour that day. Vanessa was so inviting, and her home was immaculate and the children were very happy and engaging. Being that my granddaughter was so young I was very worried about leaving her, Vanessa eased my fears, and I knew I had found the safe place I needed for her. I love receiving the random photos she sometimes sends me during the day. I know my little one is happy there. Vanessa and Jose are very loving and nurturing to the children in their care. The kiddos are all well fed, they have story time, nap time and sing songs. The play areas for the children are so clean and organized, a perfect environment for babies to toddlers. Vanessa and Jose are wonderful with the kids. My son just started Pre-K but he attended ABC daycare since he was 3 months old. I was with them through a move and with the addition of a dog to their family. Vanessa was always great about keeping parents informed of changes, reminders to holidays, and keeping the kids clean and fed. Being a dog lover but not owning a dog myself I base my opinion of dogs individually. Her dog is very sweet and gentle around the kids. While I understand other parent concerns I found no threat with Vanessa and her family owning a dog. I highly recommend ABC daycare to anyone looking for childcare. read more

This was my daughter's first daycare experience. Although she was there only 9 months, I couldn't have asked for a better place for her to be. My two year-old son had a great experience at ABC Daycare. In August 2015, I decided to quit my job to stay at home with him, and 4 months later, he still talks about Vanessa and Jose all the time. Vanessa and Jose are such fabulous caregivers; calm, kind, caring and understanding. It's also comforting to know that Vanessa has a medical background. Every afternoon when I picked him up, he was involved in a different activity. Songs, stories, snacks, cars, music, outside play, puppet shows... lots of variety, movement and involvement. Also, their house is immaculate. SO organized and clean! I certainly wasn't sad about leaving my job, but it was very hard to take Charlie out of ABC Daycare; I knew how much he'd miss his friends.
