The lobby is welcoming, with fun games for the kids to enjoy while they wait. They also give the little ones a gift on their way out, usually including some dental supplies, a small toy, and a cute balloon. Before my appointment, no one reviewed or explained the charges for my deep cleaning. I have dual PPO insurance, and I know deep cleanings are covered, yet I was still charged a significant out-of-pocket amount. I was never informed that a laser would be used, nor that it would be an additional charge per quadrant. I assumed it was part of the standard procedure. This was never discussed or consented to prior to treatment. Even more concerning, my son and I were separated and taken to different rooms, and they proceeded to do multiple fillings on my son without ever informing me how many were needed or asking for my consent. No one came to explain the treatment plan before starting, during my own procedure, or afterward. As a parent, this is completely unacceptable. At no point was I given a clear treatment plan or cost breakdown for either of us. Despite having dual insurance coverage, I was still charged $621 out of pocket. When I asked for an itemized receipt, I was told they could not provide one, which is a huge red flag. This office feels extremely money-driven, with poor communication and questionable consent practices. I truly regret not paying closer attention to the reviews before booking here. Transparency, consent, and trust are critical in healthcare--and this office failed on all three. Please avoid this place and protect yourself and your family.

The X-rays showed that the ismile dentist did such a bad job, that his tooth did need to be pulled to stop the infection. The X-rays of the top tooth showed that she did the same thing! put in the filling without properly cleaning out all the decay, so now his top tooth has to have a baby tooth root canal and a crown because of the damage from the sloppy dental work from ismile. My poor 5 year old had to have a tooth pulled out and has to endure all this trauma because this supposed dentist does not know what she is doing, does terrible work and does not care about the kids whose teeth she mangles. When we've had to change appointments or come in for emergency bracket repair or replacement, it's never been a problem. The office has always made time for us. I could write a book on the entire process from start to finish on all the reasons Dr. Fotovat is the right choice for your child's (or your) orthodontic needs. We really appreciated his measured approach with our boys who had very different orthodontic needs. He checked our boys every six months for a couple of years before determining the time was right for them to begin their orthodontic journeys. Our older son's teeth were fairly straight, but he had a bit of an overbite that needed correcting. He only needed one phase with the braces starting toward the end of middle school and was done by the end of his freshman year in high school. Our younger son had a multitude of issues from overcrowding to crooked teeth to a major underbite. Dr. Fotovat worked on him in two phases, beginning when he was eight years old. After completing the first phase which included expanders and one round of braces, he waited to start the final phase until his jaw growth slowed down to ensure the best possible outcome. Both boys have the most beautiful smiles now. We could not be happier with their outcomes. Dr. Fotovat really cares about his patients, and he cares about their outcomes.
