On top of that, the student behavior and supervision are also a concern. The kids are often roughhousing, and while I understand that children play and things happen, it's becoming a regular issue. Parents shouldn't have to find out from their own kids that they've been hit or hurt by another child. Communication between the staff, director, and parents is extremely poor and that's unacceptable when it comes to the safety and well-being of children. This daycare already has a low rating for a reason, and unfortunately, nothing seems to be improving. I really hope management takes responsibility, fixes these issues, and starts putting the children first. Until then, I would strongly suggest that parents look elsewhere for care.

Within the first week of dropping her off at her new daycare (La Petite), she ceased crying during drop off and hurriedly entered into the building with excitement. Now, my daughter is 3 years of age and I have watched her develop cognitively and socially. She has an extraordinary vocabulary at just 3 years of age and I accredit that to the curriculum here. The teachers are extremely passionate about the kids and take the time to work with each child individually. My child got moved to other classrooms a lot. Her classroom only had 1 teacher so if the teacher ever had to miss they just moved all the kids over. When they did that I couldn't see her on the monitors. I think the teachers were getting kids confused because they would mark they changed my daughter's diaper, and I would come check on her & her home diaper would still be on. ( daycare diapers had her name written on them as required, so I could also tell if she had been changed or not.) sometimes she would go 5 hours or so without a real diaper change. Even though it was marked in the app that they had changed her. They would mark that they fed her 8 oz & then my 4 oz breastmilk bottles would still be in the fridge. So I think they were giving her someone else's milk. Also I could walk in & they would ask me which child was mine. So that definitely worried me. You don't have to be buzzed in( you do have a code) but if someone was in front of you, anyone could slip in while someone else was walking in the school & the teachers didn't know who the kid was much less what the parents looked like. They had pictures of the babies in their own classroom, but since they had to always move them to the older room their pictures weren't in there. Since there was only 1 teacher that meant babies were left crying while she held one baby, or changed a diaper or fed any of them. I'm pretty sure it was the cafeteria staff that would come relieve the teacher for her lunch break. They were all nice people but extremely under staffed, with a high turnover over rate. We left really shortly after we started and found an amazing daycare where there are 4 teachers for about 10 babies. Even the toddlers class has 3-4 teachers all the way until they are two. And we pay less now. The new school has better cameras & more security. Unlimited log ins at our new school. The infants have their own "playground" and go outside everyday weather permitting. it's covered so you don't have to worry about the sun as much. **** update. I didn't post my first or last name on yelp. So that makes sense that you couldn't pull my name off of any database. I also believe it was my spouse that registered our child. However, my child did attend this school. I struggled to post this because I truly thought the staff was nice. But as a parent I would want to know the experience we had. The school was just severely understaffed & everyone was new. Teachers walked out in the middle of the day & quit it got so bad. Those things can be fixed. They have a LOT of learning activities even in the short 9-1 day, plus playground time, lunch, and free play. He always wants to show me what he did that day before we even get to the car. His teacher is utterly fantastic and so professional with parents and fun with the kids. We are always greeted by more than one staffer on our way in and out of the building, usually referring to my son by name. The current director is aware of a teacher putting their hands on two children and that teacher has had no consequences. She has a "30-day suspension" where she is still allowed to work around kids, including the two she put her hands on. I would not recommend working here nor bringing your kids here. I keep in contact with parents and they repletely tell me what the administrative staff tells them, how rudely they talk to them and how little they make the parents feel. One time I had one of my kids choke on a piece of food and I had to do the Heimlich maneuver on said kid. Thankfully it came out and the kid is ok, but they did not inform the parents of what happened to their own child. So said child went home and said she choked on a piece of food, the mother texted me that night furiously asking me what happened. When I explained the situation and told her I told the administrative staff, she was even more furious. They failed to contact the mother, which resulted in me having to calm her down. Another time I had one of my kids hit his head hard, to the point where he was bleeding and had to go get surgical glue for the cut. I called on the walkie in tears saying I needed help, and no one came. It took another teacher to tell them to come to my room. The front obviously had favorites, but they are so petty to the point where they would ignore a bleeding child simply because they did not like me. All the front desk did was ignore us and talk bad about the parents. So bad to the point where a parent left in tears and withdrew her kid, I still keep in touch, and she was so happy for me when I told her I was not at chrysalis anymore. They will talk bad about you and your child; I have heard it with every single kid who walks in that door. Chrysalis never ever had one good thing to say about me. I was there for almost two years and on my last day my boss told me the following "None of the parents or kids liked me. I am not fit to be a teacher; I was a bad teacher, and I should have been gone a long time ago." The office staff is very petty and very messy, after my time at chrysalis I had staff tell me "So and so said this about you" one month after I was gone. The front desk women are very messy and very unprofessional. They made the work environment so unbearable and toxic. The teachers there were overworked, tired, crying, and the front and director did nothing to help. She gave us a chocolate bar and that was it. I loved my kids, to this day I babysit and keep in contact with them. It was never the kids. They were the best kids to me. The main problem was the front desk, the director and the way they ran things. I have more and more stories about chrysalis, but it keeps me up at night feeling so bad the teachers who are good teachers there. PLEASE DO NOT WORK OR BRING YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL.
