This is the most AMAZING PRESCHOOL in The Woodlands!!!…read more After painstakingly researching practically all the daycares and preschools in the area and touring several of them, we immediately felt the most at ease and excited about Little Sunshine's Playhouse. Ms. TK (the director) and her entire team are so professional, organized, thoughtful, and kind. They have treated us like family from the very first encounter and continue to show us warmth and exceptional care every single day. The school is immaculately kept and has great security protocols for a parent's peace of mind. There are various extracurriculars (like gymnastics, dance, and soccer) offered, as well as special events & holiday socials. The faculty are so creative in keeping things fun & engaging - - not only for the children but their families too! Ms. HEYLEY is an incredible teacher & trustworthy caregiver. Our 2-year old has learned so much from the curriculum and has so much fun in class. I appreciate the frequent updates (and activity photos) that make me feel like I can be a part of each moment, even at a distance. Eventually, we will graduate to the next age group/classroom (and onward), but her "first" teacher and first year experience will forever hold a special piece of our hearts. Thank you to Ms. TK, Ms. Monica (assistant director), Ms. Beth & Ms. Heather (head teachers) for always being so approachable, informative, and helpful. Thank you to Ms. Heyley and supporting classroom teachers (Ms. Camryn, Ms. Beth, Ms. Belle, Ms. Michelle, Ms. Alyssa, and other names I'm still trying to remember) for the care & attention you give to our little girl and all her friends! We appreciate you all sooooo much. We love LSP and everyone who has played a part in our little girl's wonderful preschool experience! We made the right decision enrolling at LSP. Truly the best.... It is our home away from home for these precious early years.

Why 5 stars? Because our son's experience here was amazing from start to finish…read more --- --- --- After our son finished kindergarten, we wanted to enroll him at a daycare for the summer where he could be visited by a speech and occupational therapist to help him work through some issues before starting 1st grade. The only therapists we could find that would offer both services would only travel to centers within The Woodlands. Little Sunshine was the closest center to our house that was technically in The Woodlands, but the only problem is that it was also, by far, the most expensive. Plus, we would have to pay some out-of-pocket costs for the therapy services too. This option was setting up to be an incredibly expensive summer. So I shopped around for alternative therapy provider that would travel to other centers, but I struck out with everyone. So we took a deep breath and prepared to spend the extra money. To be honest, this ended up being an excellent decision. Little Sunshine was easily the best daycare we have ever sent our son too. And due to some odd circumstances, he has been to a *lot* of different places. The facility is super nice the lobby, the classrooms, the playgrounds - all top notch. A very nice thing is that unlike most daycares, it didn't *smell* like a daycare. You probably know exactly what I mean when I say that: a combination of sweaty kids and strong cleaning products. It didn't even really look like a daycare in the lobby. Everything was always supremely clean and organized. The teachers were also amazing. They truly seemed to love our son and really helped him work through his issues when his emotions would get the best of him. They always kept us updated with photos, videos and the schedule for what the kids were doing and learning about. We also really loved that they not only provided breakfast, lunch and snacks, but they did so in a healthy manner. They would provide a schedule every week with the menu and our son loved reading it every day. They definitely made some of the items sound borderline gourmet! And nothing was ever just purely junk food, as is the case at most places. After the summer ended, we enrolled him in a new daycare for after school. As of this writing, he's only gone there 3 times, and it's been fine so far, but the stark drop-off in the quality of everything was immediately obvious. It's no Little Sunshine! If you're in the same boat we were in: thinking of bringing your kid(s) to Little Sunshine but hesitant because of the cost, I will tell you that it's worth every penny. We will always look fondly on our time here, even if it was only for a short time.

Because we really appreciated our experience here…read more --- --- --- We moved to the area from Florida and found out about FCKA online when we were searching for nearby child care. They were one of about ten places I called and they ended up making the most sense for us. We drove our U-Haul on a Saturday and Sunday, and our son started school here the following morning. And for just over a year, everyone was really happy with the arrangement. Our son loved it, it was close by for us and his teachers really seemed to enjoy him. I don't want to understate any of those aspects: we were all as happy as we could be. The reason we're no longer at FCKA is actually another reason that we are grateful for the staff here. Our son has had some developmental issues and ultimately, they felt he would be better served at a different school that specialized in providing the type of attention he needs. This was a pretty self-less thing to say because it ultimately costs the school money to lose a student, plus a student that was loved by so many teachers, despite his difficulties. The only issue we really had with this entire situation is that it was a bit abrupt. We know our son is a handful. And often times, I would vent to the staff at pick-up or drop-off about how crazy he was the day before. But the reaction was always the same: laughter and something along the lines of "oh, that's the same guy we see here haha." So our impression was that they did not have any serious problems with him. This was the feedback from every person my wife and I ever dealt with. But then one day, we were told that it was actually a very serious issue, which we were taken aback by. I think what really sparked this is that they never re-opened the doors to allow parents to drop off or pick up kids from the room. We always had to wait outside, which generally led to less face-time with the teacher. Occasionally you would get a moment at the front door, but there was almost always a line of cars waiting, so those moments were always rushed. I understand it was probably logistically easier this way, but it was probably the one thing I would have changed about FCKA. We truly really enjoyed everything else about sending our son here and will always think of them fondly when we drive by.

PART 1. This was absolutely the worst place to bring your…read morechildren to be cared for. There is no accountability for negligence. Mrs.Mendoza the Director is NEVER available nor on-site. Every time I have asked to speak to her in person or on the phone she was unavailable. My son 2 and my daughter 11 months attended daycare here and were asked to be picked up immediately or child services would be called for posting a true factual review on the neglect my 2 year old has endured here. I was told by Mrs.Erika per the Owners I had an hour to pick them up as they were being immediately unenrolled due to a review. Can you believe that? My child was the one neglected by the staff. Let me explain. My child has been bit multiple times here. I have advocated for my son. I have asked to have him moved up and it was like pulling teeth because Mrs.Mendoza wasn't there to make that decision. I pressed and I pressed and Mrs.Erika finally said she was making the temporary decision to have him moved up. He finally gets moved up and it gets worse. He is still coming home with scratches on his face on his neck but incident reports are made so that makes it ok for them. My question was how is my child getting hurt every week since starting there sometimes 2-3 times a week and there are 2 teacher in the classroom? I always get an excuse. MY FINAL DRAW! On Thursday 11/16/2023 I went to pick my son up per usual. He immediately ran to me and I picked him up and kissed him. Well when I went to reach in I noticed a huge bite make on the side of his forehead right next to his temple. I also noticed scratches on his eye lid, nose and cheeks. I asked the teacher if she had an incident report for me. She looked confused and said no. Why? I said look at my sons face. The teacher then said "I seen that and was hoping it wasn't from today because I wasn't given a report." So now you have neglected my child too. If you took over care for a child with a huge bite mark on his face.. wouldn't you think to ask if that occurred earlier in the day so you can give report to the parent? I then walk straight out to the front and ask the front desk Melissa and a new member if they have a report for me. They looked confused and stated no. I told them look at my sons face. They were shocked and apologized. I was told Mrs Erika would be in touch as soon as she got in the next morning Friday. Mrs Erika called me on Friday and tells me. It's a scratch on his face not a bite. I argue because you can clearly see teeth marks on my sons face. So then she proceeds to tell me that they reviewed the cameras and it looks like at 9:34 AM my son and another child were fighting behind a book shelf that was in a blind spot from camera view. But that my son got up and walked away from the book shelf rubbing his head and sat down next to the teacher. I said well how did 3 adults watch him and never notice he had A HUGE Bite mark on his face? No incident report. No phone call. Nothing. Had I not advocated for my child.. that footage would have never been reviewed. She said I understand. There's nothing more we can do but have a conference with the teachers about better ways to handle these situations and have them eliminated for the future. I asked to see the footage myself. I was told Mrs.Mendoza declined for me to see it. I asked to speak with her immediately. Again she was not available so I then said well she needs to call me. She is never available. Mrs Erika then stated she would have her conference me in.PART 2 Mrs.Mendoza called me and had a nasty condescending attitude. I told her I wanted to speak to her regarding all the bite incidents my son has endured. Particularly this one because I was never notified on the incident nor was there a report written out to document the incident for me to refer to. She then tells me well your son and another child were fighting behind a bookshelf. He got up and didn't cry and sat next to the teacher with a book rubbing his head. He didn't cry and that's why the teacher didn't catch it. Normal children would have cried. I said hold on. So my two year old didn't cry and so it's his fault he wasn't being watched or killed from behind a book shelf where he was fighting with another student and nobody noticed? But theirs two teacher in the room? She states I'm not sure what more I can tell you other than what Mrs Erika already told you. I then stated well I wanted to speak to the director to see what all steps would be taken to ensure me this will never happen again. Mrs.Mendoza then proceeds to tell me "Well the next steps are for you to unenroll them because I'm not telling you that." So you can unenroll them or I can. No apology. No remorse. My child has just been traumatized coming to this daycare. He has never been bitten in his whole life. I could not believe as a Director Mrs.Mendoza could not ensure a concerned parent that their child would not be left unsupervised and they would always be cared for. Instead. My child who i

WTH has been the ideal fit for us. All the teachers have at least a bachelors and many have a masters in teaching. Most have also been at WTH or teaching for many many years. When you step in WTH you can immediately tell that it's a real school environment-- they even have a library and lunch room. In a short period of time, my four year old is advancing really quickly. With in just a few weeks he's already holding a pencil correctly and writing his name (both things he didn't do at prior preschools). This was my two year old's first experience at preschool. I was a little nervous because he's never been cared for outside of our home. With in just a week he would detach with no problem and walk away with a "bye mommy." He's also becoming really independent through their encouragement. He'll bring his own things into school and put them away. It's also worth noting that the director is almost always present and is fully immersed in the activities at the school. I see her all the time from drop off to pick up. This preschool is absolutely top notch. Great teachers, strong curriculum and a really nice facility. We're happy to have found WTH!
