Even though the sign says that they're operating hours on Sunday are 12 to 8. The doors are firmly locked. I know this is a family run business. There are rumors that there is a separation occurring between the individuals who own this property and that this business is potentially going out of business. Sad as supposedly they showed that they were carrying some beverages that we wanted for a holiday party.

I am not recommending this store because there is nearby Tony's liquor on Plant Street in winter garden. It is also tiny, but eccentric, and does not feel creepy. It Feels safe. Also, there is Regency liquors and wine store on Avalon and Stoneybrook West. Both are nearby and I do recommend them. At this particular store, there is also a lot of men who come in an out, obviously, I'm a woman, and they sometimes say inappropriate things to me. Or look at me in a strange way. I do not have this happen at the other establishments in Winter Garden and Oakland. Otherwise West Orange County. The store does not feel assessable to women. I often feel scared if and when I go in after dark. Therefore, I do not go here very often. Sorry to be so frank, but that is part of why we do yelp, to let other people know. I am sure some people will disagree with me, I am relaying my own particular feelings.

The moment I walk through those doors, I am no longer a disciplined adult with a budget. I am on a treasure hunt. I have visited locations all over California and Florida, and every time I go, I have to mentally prepare myself. After traveling through Europe, Asia, South America, the Mediterranean, and the Caribbean, there is something deeply satisfying about seeing specialty items from all over the world sitting right there on the shelf. No ordering online. No waiting for deliveries. No hoping the packaging survives shipping. Just reach out and grab it. It makes recreating flavors from past travels so much easier and far more fun. Then there is the furniture and décor. It is eclectic, global, colorful, and usually visually light. You are not going to find heavy, dark, traditional pieces anchoring a formal estate here. Instead, you get carved wood, woven textures, interesting silhouettes, and pieces that feel like they came from somewhere with a story attached. I gravitate toward the exotic details every single time. One of my favorite finds ever was a carved wooden fruit bowl with a sculpted handle on top and a completely unique design. It felt like something you would stumble upon in a market overseas and then carefully carry home in your suitcase. I also have a personal weakness for anything featuring lions, tigers, or leopards, so I always keep my eye out for those motifs when I am there. It is a dangerous game. There are so many things in that store that I have to start curbing my enthusiasm before I even walk through the door. Otherwise, I will convince myself that I absolutely need half the place. Wednesdays happen to be my favorite due to their $5 dollar sushi deal. All of the produce is incredibly fresh and always ripe! Being from New Jersey, it is hard to accept that a supermarket can offer some of the better subs in the area, but in the case of Publix, it is a simple fact. Again, Publix has always put an emphasis on their customer service and they certainly make you feel welcome. It seems every Publix employee is walk by, they make it a point to greet me. I have to say that it does go a long way. You really cannot go wrong with Publix in terms of heading to a Publix for your supermarket needs.
