ABC has been my choice for liquor for years! I am so mad they closed the Tennessee street location that took me back to my college days. What a lot of people don't know is that ABC liquor is probably the cheapest liquor store around. I guess because they sell top of the line brands people assume they're expensive. But I'm here to tell you otherwise. Me personally, I'm all about the savings. I compare prices between tons of stores just to make sure I get the best deal. Well ABC wins EVERYTIME. So you know I come here way more times than I check in on Yelp. This particular visit yesterday was excellent. I went in during lunch time the place was pretty empty. Every employee I passed by spoke and asked if I needed help which I thought was awesome. ABC usually has some good specials and promotions along with their loyalty card, I use them in conjunction with the Ibotta App to get money back on items I purchase! I got like $10.00 back on the app! My test, generally, is whether I can walk in & out with the following bottles: 1. Calvados (ANY Calvados. I'm not going to get choosy but if there's an option, I'll always choose Fecamp) and 2. Fernet Branca. This location always seems to have the Fernet - so that's a good deal! (The others quite possibly have it as well, I don't know). With regards to Calvados - I just think it's something that needs to be stocked. I'd be good for a couple of bottles annually. I am impressed with the Wine-Guy here. Not sure whether he's a trained sommelier or not - but he definitely knows his stuff. (Put it this way, he knows that Stag's Leap is about 15 minutes away from Frog's Leap). There are associated bins here (for impromptu cheese/meat boards, tapas, etc...) that do well in a pinch. The beer selection looks pretty impressive - although I'm more of a Cider guy and they carry Magner's Irish, which is stellar BTW. Anyway - if you're seeking to satisfy a daily habit with the baseline stuff - then, sure, c'mon down (you might want to ease up on the daily thing...) but if you're looking for the more esoteric - then this place can help you out as well. read more

This store has a great selection of wine, spirits, and beer. They also have snacks, like Zapp's potato chips and stuffed olives to accompany your purchase. I came here for a wine tasting event, and it was a great chance to try new things, learn about certain vineyards and styles of production, and meet other Tallahassee people. The store is very large and organized well (each section has a label, letting you know what's there), and nothing is placed "too" high - I actually like the lower shelves and feel that it's friendly to all customers (ADA preaching here). In particular, if you like trying exotic flavors, they have a nice selection of sake and plum wine from Japan, and pisco from Peru. The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable about the products, and the prices are not bad at all. read more

Went there to buy some goodies for a wedding cocktail party. They didn't have the half gallon size of Ciroc that we were looking for, but the gentleman working there checked the cashier area and the backroom for us. Then the woman at the counter recommended a holiday pack for another beverage item that we were purchasing, which for $4 more gave me double the quantity and two signature glasses! They were both incredibly nice and helpful. Definitely appreciated their willingness to help and the smiles they gave along the way! So simple, but so appreciated. read more

Customer service is everything! I came to this location for the first time visiting from Orlando. They were about to close and the girl at the register was clearly ready to go. I asked for a large bottle Dusse the girl didn't look in the back or in a box she just flat out said "if it's not up there we don't have it." So I settle for the pint and pull out a price match from total wine which was clearly $14 cheaper. "You have to print that out" she said it so nasty that I had to get confirmation from her manager who was to much better. The first thing he says before evening hearing the situation was "I'm not being nice today!" As a hospitality major who has worked in a liquor store, restaurant, and hotel I knew flat out that I was dealing with a tacky establishment who employees lack pride in their jobs. I would rather drive to a further location or buy my liquor before I get to Tallahasse. I spoke to the manager about the difference in service and rules in other locations and his response was "yeah they a lot nicer out there in Orlando." Smh he was better off saying enjoy you day! Once you get accustomed to great service it's hard to settle for less. read more
