Everyone remembered us immediately, and made the enrollment and transition a breeze. The care our grands receive is wonderful, they love attending, and love their teachers. Everyone greets you and your child by name in the morning, and goodbye when they leave. They are very family oriented, and make your child feel special and loved. I would highly recommend them.

For Thanksgiving and Christmas, they invite parents to share special holiday meals with the kids, and the kids sing a chorus for them. I would give it a 5, except my boys have had some trouble being bullied by other boys in their class. And if the Georgia red clay could be covered up in the playground area, that would be helpful. We've had some new, lighter-colored pants stained beyond repair. They get a 4 because the teachers have always been quick to respond to any issues and make it right. I want to shout out to my boys' teachers, Mrs. Amy and Mrs. Gigi, they are phenomenal.

I then stopped by to visit and inquire about the program, curriculum, enrollment etc. The lady at the desk pulled out a packet, laid it on the counter and stated that I needed to bring proof of residency, child's birth certificate etc. I stood there blinking for what seemed like minutes and she finally stated "Oh, it's GA Pre-K so it's free and breakfast and lunch are provided". I was completely shocked at the poor level of service and minimal information provided. Maybe that's been her experience with the demographics of their center and maybe they only care about "free" and "food provided" (which I seriously doubt). If you are going to be teaching young children, you should at least ATTEMPT to advise the prospective parents of the educational value and environment etc. before shoving forms at them and reiterating that it's FREE. As the saying goes....you get what you pay for. Needless to say, my daughter is now enrolled in a PAID school.

I always received timely updates on diapering, sleeping, and feeding as well as a lot of photos and videos. I truly appreciate the thorough updates now that I've seen an alternative to be honest - my son's teachers would call to even let me know if he seemed extra irritated or seemed unwell even if he didn't have a fever or obvious signs and i was thankful because i would always go right away to pick him up, even if it wasn't required. Also, Heather, the Asst Director (I think that was her role) was also incredible! She was always such a warm welcome every morning and always made my boy smile! She always informed me of anything going on in the class or with my child (sickness) and also took the time to get to know my sweet babe individually. My son attended Eastminster Preschool for about 2 months before I pulled him and moved him elsewhere. When he started at the school, he was just under 2 years old. I was shocked when about 2 weeks after being at the school I received an email describing all of the things that my child was doing wrong. He couldn't unpack and hang up his backpack, walk in a line, sit at a table and do centers, and the list went on. The email was sent to me as though my less than 2 year old child should already know how to do all of this. As a teacher and mom, I was very aware that these expectations of a less than 2 year old, especially a boy, were incredibly ridiculous. It made me feel as though his teacher knew very little about the developmental stages of children, and the director seemed to have no issue with this at all. I felt as though my little boy was being treated like a problem child, when I knew that he was a perfectly normal toddler boy. With that being said, this is not the only instance I have heard of boys being treated like problems at this preschool. I have two other friends who had similar experiences with their sons, and they were both dismissed and treated as though normal, developmentally appropriate boy behavior is actually misbehavior. If you have a well-behaved little girl, I'm sure she will do just fine here...but as for little boys, I would think twice before sending them here.

After reading the reviews it turns out they were almost all about the previous owner. Ms. Cinnamon (the new owner) and her staff are incredibly professional and have taken significant steps to improve the school just in the four months we have been there. Since we have been there I know they have added face recognition and painted the school with new paint that helps prevent the spread of disease. If your looking for a daycare for your child I'd highly recommend this school.

Her direct response was, "I would visit other daycares before making the decision or choice to enrolling at Goddard." I have never felt so rejected and disrespected of my time.
