AMAZING COMPANY! Our 17 year-old HVAC unit was on its last leg and Allbritten came to our rescue. From the service tech who came to look at our old unit, to the supervisor who came out to verify and discuss our options, to the owners, and the finally the installation techs... it was AMAZING! We ended up purchasing an all electric 3 ton unit, and it was worth every penny. Granted, the cost was near the amount of a small new car, but again worth every penny! Since installation, we have seen our PG&E bill go down, which has been a huge plus for us. Highly recommend! We will definitely be using Allbritten again when we replace the other HVAC unit at the other end of the house. read more

Koi Reynoso and Alexander came to service my heater in prep for winter season. They did a wonderful job! I was very impressed with the knowledge and skill they showed! They arrived earlier than I expected and were able to get the work done very quickly. They did install a surge protector to help my air conditioner in advance of they heat that still exists this late in the year. Again, they did a spectacular job and I will continue to use them in the future. read more

Sergio Ochoa was here yesterday for my semi annual plumbing checkup. Now, I am not a plumber, so when there is a problem, I am usually the last one to figure it out. While Sergio was here, he probably solved three mysteries for me. Such a relief. read more

Repose time was good. The tech came out to change out my UV light on my unit but didn't have part with him, not a issue then. But then I had to call the office and inquired why it was taking so long to get the part. The service tech should have known what part I needed since I purchased a new system from Allbritten. I had waited for 30-40 to finally get the part and installed. 2 out of 5 for lack of planning on the technician. read more

It has been awhile since I've left a review of the excellent service and quality of work by the Albritten HVAC and plumbing professionals. Best insurance is their maintenance program which insures no unexpected emergencies and also provides a discount of other services. My most recent experience included moving an outdoor water faucet and Joey did an excellent job. He also fixed a runaway toilet, snaked a basin and blew out the water heater because of sediment build-up. Thank you, Albritten, for always being there when we need you!!! And a very big thank you to Joey! read more

A/C was having a cooling issue, called Allbritten and they came out and changed the capacitor but then the tech tried to convince me that I had a restriction in the system and that he would need to recover the Freon in the system and replace it with new which would cost $1,754.00! Called another company out who checked the system and he told me we had a slow freon leak that he could fix and that he would recover the freon, weigh it and replace what was missing for a total charge of $100. a pound plus his service charge. Shame on you Allbritten for trying to rip us off like that. The total cost for the Freon was $300.00 and not $1,754!!! read more

I am so disappointed in myself for choosing this company to install our AC unit. We purchased our first home and our AC went out a month after moving in. I wanted a Carrier unit or a Bosch and like an idiot I let them talk me out of it because they said they could not get Bosch systems and if they tried it would be weeks without AC. Trusting the salesman I went with the suggest Goodman. AC was installed and the night they left it was not cooling and kept kicking into second stage. Tech was here until 10pm and could not fix it. He told me himself these units are no good because they are too smart. Next day comes and techs were here until 6pm and could not fix it. Finally they came to me and said they are going to help me out and offer me a new unit?! Well of course they should have done that. That should be standard practice. I asked for a carrier unit and again they tried to tell me it would be 7k more to put in a different Unit at this point because they would have to change the furnace. To make matters worse. They dinged up my walls, left insulation and screws all over, placed a fan vent somewhere I did not approve and it's hideous and not even with the other return right next to it.I could look passed all the above stated problems if I had an AC that was installed correctly and worked properly, accidents happen, but I don't have that. The ac was left installed completely crooked and to top it all off I have water leaking out of a pipe which they said they made a mistake and could fix the mistake and the day they said it was fixed it was still leaking. This company is too big for their own good. I picked them knowing they were far more expensive then my other quotes but I felt I was paying for the best customer service in the business with a good name to back them up. Unfortunately that is not the case anymore. As a first time home owner I made a major mistake. I now have a unit that leaks water everywhere, does not cool my home properly and when more problems arise they don't know how to fix it. Techs were very demeaning to my husband and I as they told us unfortunately we are the test subjects on this unit and the problems that come with it. A company should not install a system they are not 10000% trained on. Please proceed with caution and don't be let down like I was. read more

A+ company. We had ABC do a ton of work to our house. They were very professional and completed work in perfect time. We had duct work replaced, insulation added, bath fans, and a whole house energy audit. Our house can finally keep cool in summer and warm in winter. They also tune up our unit every year. Honest and reliable company. read more

Our AC quit working yesterday and I called ABC and they sent JC and Steve out today and now it is working! I was sure that we were going to need a new AC but Steve and JC said it was a Capacitor or something like that! I had them put it in and they serviced the unit and said we were good to go! I highly recommend ABC Heating and Cooling! Steve and JC are why ABC is such a great company! Happy employee's are what makes the company so great! Mike K read more

Our furnace wasn't working well after New Years and we needed one ASAP! We have used ABC Cooling Heating before and they've always been very helpful. We had someone come talk to use about our options he was very knowledgeable and respectful. We never felt like we were pressured to spend more than we needed to. We were able to have our furnace replaced within one day. We had Benito Soto, Antonio Cameron, and Josh come instal our new furnace. They did a wonderful job they didn't do the work in an hour but that because they take their time to make sure everything is working they way it should. We couldn't be more pleased with their service. If you want reliable and respectful company choose them. read more

We purchased a 2 year maintenance special for our furnaces. JC came out and did a thorough inspection of our furnaces. JC was friendly, informative and had genuine concern for our family's safety. He identified a potentially hazardous issue and set us up with an associate to provide us with an estimate to resolve the issue the same day. I contacted ABC Cooling and Heating as a result of a family referral, I'm glad I did! Will definitely refer to others and continue to use them as my heating and cooling resource! read more

Danny did a great job showing up on time and performing maintenance as required. There were no surprise charges or shady business. Got a call before the technician came, and work was clearly outlined in the invoice I recieved. I will be calling again when I next need a service of my AC/Heater. read more

Same company as Allbritten. No idea why they have two names. So here's two bad reviews. My AC stopped working completely. It's almost 100 in my house and I had to make arrangements for my young kids and pets to be moved the week school starts. Allbritten claims to be 24 hours a day yet they are booked through Monday. She refused to tell me on the phone if they actually had an appointment at 2 or 3 AM today since they are 24 hours. This is false advertising at its best. That is my only complaint since I don't know the quality of their work. I am young enough to handle it however, this could have been a medical emergency and they don't prioritize or account for this. Their "maintenance" appointments should be pushed. read more

I had an Energy Audit from ABC and was told the State Rebate would be between $4,500 and $6,500 if we had 3 types of work done totaling $27,000 worth of services with ABC. We agreed to the sales pitch and had the work completed. The actual rebate was $2,000. MUCH less than the stated amount. The rebate was overstated, the sales pitch was not accurate. My experience was with a high pressure sales person and no follow up from anyone in the office when we expressed our displeasure. read more

ABC was able to come out the same day I called. They called a half hour before arrival and were professional, knowledgeable, polite and efficient. read more

Great experience. Received a courtesy call from the office prior to technician's arrival, and he arrived exactly on time (in fact, several minutes early). He was knowledgeable and courteous. He figured it was a dead capacitor by the sound from inside the house when the unit was turned on, and upon direct inspection the diagnosis was correct. The capacitor was replaced and coolness was restored. I will call on this company again in the future. read more

Very dissatisfied with the situation. I contacted ABC late yesterday evening due to an inop heater. At first I was very happy to know they would be able to send someone out next day. I found it odd they required a credit card be placed on file in order to make an appt, but I overlook this since they were giving me next-day service. Technician showed today as promised, advised me it was a sensor, sent me a written work order stating bad senor and recommending to replace it for $202. Agreed to the cost and diagnostic fee. Calls back tells me back states although the sensor is in fact bad, I also need to replace the board and the cost is now over $600. This is outrageous! I am definitely convinced the other reviews are not real customers. Lesson learned as I fell for the fake reviews and contacted ABC. Save yourself the headache and find another company. read more

Professional, friendly, and honest, from the first phone call to the final day of installation of our new Carrier A/C and Heat. Definitely recommend. read more

ABC installed our, kind of unusual, no gas-all electric ac/heater about 2 years ago. At the time of install all the way to present day they have been wonderful! They always call me when my scheduled free maintenance is do (I don't have sent my reminders) and they always get me a great appointment that works for me even though I live out in the boonies. There service techs are professional and friendly and I would recommend them to anyone. read more

We had our entire system redone. Unit, ducting, installation, everything. Without a doubt the easiest people to work with, kindest people to ask questions, and every dollar that we spent was well worth the out come. We went from losing 22% of the air made to less than 2%. ABC has great techs and installers! read more

I called at 11am. Was told that a technician would be out by 2pm, which i thought was pretty reasonable considering it was a Sunday on a holiday weekend. Tech showed up by 1130 and BOOM! Problem fixed and house cooling down by 12 noon. Awesome service, very professional and polite, and the price was right! ABC easy as 1,2,3! read more

Before spending a fortune on a home solar system, I thought I'd get an energy audit. I called Albritten Plumbing/ABC Cooling, one of only two or the PG&E list. Randy Chambers did an extremely thorough audit revealing, as I expected, that my 37 year old duct work was leaking plus, using an infrared camera, that there was a great deal of heat getting into my house (it was 100+ degrees outside). We've done the attic work of sealing/insulating, and we'll replace the duct work in the cooler Fall, when having the AC off for a couple of days will be no problem Richard Tamayo was the job foreman and a real pleasure to work with. The work isn't cheap but it is a fraction of the cost of solar and promises significant savings plus a more tightly sealed house, a blessing when the air pollution gets nasty. read more

What started out great, quickly fizzled. The first visit was a success, and my HVAC system was running smoothly. When I called to schedule my winter service I was told I needed a whole new unit. How could my system fail, when it has just been checked out literally a few months prior?! They gave an estimate, to the tune of $8,000. I told my mom and right away she thought I was being scammed. She was not having it, and well, you know.... mom knows best. I figured it couldn't hurt to have her help. She called a repair man, out of Sanger. His name is Dan. He came out, free of charge, and looked the system over. He said the unit was in perfect working condition, and that there was no sense in replacing a perfectly working HVAC unit. Wow! An honest repair man. No work needed. No charge. You don't find such honest people. Right now we are in a mid summer heat wave, and I am sitting in my nice, cold, air conditioned house. This is the same unit, that ABC Cooling said needed replaced. Beware the wolf, in sheep's clothing. They come in nice and accommodating, then have you emptying your pockets, on services not needed. read more

So I bought a new Centex house 2 1/2 years ago (not a builder I recommend by the way) and last night in the middle of June my air conditioner makes a frightful noise and goes out. As I panic because I find out I am six months over my warranty I have to start hunting down a company to come out and this is like finding a needle in a haystack because there are so many. I come across ABC and see it has the highest reviews so I give it a shot. They were extremely helpful, understanding of my panic and responsive the way customer service should be. They were able to send a tech out to my house the same day (he was there within the hour!) and he was also very pleasant, informative and kept the price as reasonable as he could. An air conditioner breaking in the summer in Fresno is a serious stressful event and ABC made the entire issue so much less stressful and I cannot begin to express my gratitude for the reasonable price and very quick service. They are well worth their good rating! read more

We needed a quick fix for our AC (last year) for the new home that we purchased in Aug. ABC came out in 1hr, gave us an honest assessment of the state of our AC unit (almost 15 yrs old!) and made the unit work for the remaining of the hot months. This year, we knew we needed a new AC unit altogether, so we called ABC again. Tim came out in 24hrs, helped us figure out what we could afford and what we wanted int he way of energy efficiency -- he also brought us a portable AC unit to use while we waited for the install of the new unit (thank goodness because it had been hot weather). Tim also helped us to set-up an audit of our home (affordable) to figure out where we might be loosing the fight to keep our home comfortable without spending a ton on the electric bill each month. Brian came out to do the audit and he was fast and careful about our napping infant. Then, Jose and Ronnie came out 2 days later to install the new AC unit (an all day event). Again, these guys were thoughtful about our sleeping infant and were generally a pleasure to be around (good attitudes and kind dispositions). We are very happy with the new unit (which came with 3yrs of no interest financing). read more

First class company...Last August air conditioning system went out. Older system, we need to replace it for years. Talked to Dave at ABC, he set us with a new system, and his tech guys made a temporary fix so we could get thru the next couple of days while the new system was delivered. . A life saver. Every tech guy was very professional and they spent time explaining the system. read more

Our home AC in Fresno went out about 9:00 pm on SUNDAY evening, Aug 21, 2016 (it was still about 86 degrees outside). I called ABC Cooling's Fresno number (they installed the unit in 2009) that evening and Vanessa answered the phone. She was very polite and professional. She noted that our unit was still under parts warrenty and that a tech could be at our home Monday morning between 8:00 am and noon. Chad S arrived about 9:50 am and diagnosed the problem in about 15 minutes. An electrical component had "died", he had one in the truck, and the AC was back up and running by 10:30 am. We have had an annual HVAC maintenance agreement with ABC Cooling since the unit was installed and one of the main reasons is their excellent customer service. read more

We had a whole house energy retrofit including a cool roof completed in July of this year. We were so happy with the crew that helped us bring our 55 year old house into the 21st century. Every member of their team, office staff, plumbing, installers, etc. were helpful, friendly, efficient and knowledgable. Within one week the work was complete and we were enjoying a comfortable, cool home. The 1st month our PG&E usage dropped one third, the 2nd month our usage was half of the previous August. Now the cold weather is here we are snug and warm and again using much less energy. I have recommended this company to several friends. Thank you again ABC. read more

YIKES!!!! Last night the dreaded AC going out in the middle of summer situation happened to me. This is not the first time, but I always hope it's the last. Having a kid in the house with list of medical problems that would probably impress even television's infamous Dr. House, I knew that it was imperative to get it fixed asap. So back to the trusted ole yelp app I went last night, scrolling through review after review. After not getting much input from the wife I decided on ABC Cooling and Heating. In short, I don't think I'll be using this company again. I called them first thing this morning at 0800 as to not cause any delays (Wishful thinking on my part). Although it was great that I was able to get a same day appointment it took me 3-4 calls just to make sure someone even showed up. I was booked a time slot between 1400-1800 for a tech to come out and was also reassured that I would get a call with a better ETA once 1400 came around. 1405, and no call. I decided to be proactive and call the dispathcher. The gal assured me that I was next on the tech's " List" and he would be there shortly. 1800 rolls around and no one shows up. Okay maybe he's late? 1815 now, and I sweating like I'm in a Suana. I called back and the dispatcher says let me find out what's going on. I'm beyond irritated at this point. She further reassures me that I can escalate my conerns to the person that would be coming to my house; it was not going to be a tech but it would be the general manager. After we hang up she calls me back again and apologizes saying that my appointment was booked wrong. Apparently it was suppose to be booked for a tech not general manger. Go figure! SO EVERYONE OUT THERE PLEASE BEWARE!!! read more
