For the amount of work that was done here, I found all their pricing to be absolutely nothing but fair. But Heine will be my first and only call should the need arise (i have a kitchen/bath remodel coming up... :)

Two years ago, I purchased a…read morepropane stove to heat my basement and every time I call and leave a message, I almost never get a callback. Ever! The system does not work. The pilot is on and shut off for safety reasons after about one week of non-use, but the remote that I paid for as well as the thermostat that I paid for don't work either! At this point, I've had a huge stove to heat my basement for two years now, and it only worked for the first two months. I have been leaving messages nearly monthly for the last two years and I'm so frustrated at the lack of response. When I do get a callback, dave the owner tells me to call some plumber that I did not use basically telling me that it's a plumbing issue but the plumbing is totally fine. There is a pilot in the stove and it works. I tell him specifically that I need his son, Chris's phone number, and he never replies. When is enough enough? I'm hoping that this review will prompt them to give me a call once and for all and help me resolve this issue. Sorry dave ‍

Orange County Mechanical is officially the only company I will ever use! Heather in the office was…read moreprofessional, nice, and incredibly quick to get me on the schedule. I really appreciated that my technician, Ed, called to inform me he was on his way and arrived exactly on time. Ed cleaned out my dryer vent and took care of some other plumbing work, leaving my home completely neat and clean.Their pricing is fair and reasonable, but what really stands out is their expertise. Ed is highly educated and actually knows what he is doing compared to other companies I've used over the years. I highly recommend this team!"

I asked my chimney sweep - Pete's Chimney & More - if they would install a wood burning fireplace…read morefor me. They referred me to Ed O'Hara of Orange County Mechanical. I live in Rockland County. Ed assured me my location was no problem. I have a wood burning fireplace in the center of my home serving as a true hearth since the house was built in 1949. As with any other open fireplace, it provided direct radiant heat to anybody in font of it while drawing cold outside air into the house diminishing the net effectiveness so much that I doubt the thing helped to heat my house. I decided it was time to spend the money to upgrade to a wood burning fireplace insert to maintain the option of enjoying a nice fire and augment the cast iron baseboard hydronic natural gas-fired heating system we have. Ed came down, took measurements and discussed my options. The prices he quoted were about $2,000 more than I anticipated so I pursued other contractors. GUESS WHAT! The prices from the others were significantly higher than Orange County Mechanical's despite my seeking to do this during the summer. Ed graciously took me back. I decided on the unit to be installed, scheduled the work and gave Ed a deposit. Ed arrived on time on the agreed date bringing a solidly experienced team. They got the work done efficiently. BIG PLUS+ They made sure to clean up every last bit before leaving with my thanks. The unit enhanced the appearance of the fireplace so much I decided to cover the previous brick with granite from Barocco Granite. This thing is tremendously efficient while still providing plenty of enjoyable firelight. Fireplace inserts are a great choice for fireplaces. Orange County Mechanical is the best choice for obtaining and installing one.
