I put the meeting on my calendar and showed up on time. I followed up with a note on the patient portal. still waiting to hear back. Update: Sadly, 10 days later, still no response from the Kaufmann Clinic and my message in the customer portal hasn't even been read. Guess it's time to find a new PCP.

Nurse took information on my general health, I was given an EKG and doctor came in about 15-20 minutes later to do her exam and have some general questions, on forms I submitted, clarified. Dr. Akamatsu first apologized for my waiting time, which I thought was a normal seeing I was a new patient. I thought that was nice of her to do. After she left, I had blood drawn, which was painless. Overall, I found my first visit was exceptional. Clean waiting area, though seating is limited to about 8 people. The examining room was spotless and the equipment seemed relatively new. The staff was friendly, professional and very helpful, A few days after my visit I got a call from Dr. Akamatsu's office with the results of my blood work. Also, there is a portal on the internet you go to, you log in, and see all the specifics of any test, medications, etc. that pertains to you. Great first visit!
