We contacted our Home warranty company Sunday afternoon as our A/C fan was making a horrible squealing noise. Monday morning I received a call from Ceci at Abbott Heating & Air regarding scheduling an appt to have Todd come out to look at our A/C Tuesday morning between 7am-12pm. Quick turnaround time from our first contact. Todd contacted me prior to his arrival on Tuesday morning around 8:45am via phone call. Todd was friendly and looked at the A/C unit promptly to diagnose the issue and checked the system to make sure running correctly. Todd lubricated the fan motor and cleaned the condenser coils. When finished A/C was humming like it should be. While A/C was on, he came in to check temperature flow at vents to make sure cool as expected and they were perfect. No further questions from us and he was on his way. He did advised us to change our A/C filters every 90 days for better airflow all year round. We had just changed our current filter last week since we knew summer was approaching. Todd was quick and efficient. We will definitely work with Todd and his company again if another problem arises. But hopefully not too soon read more

Abbott Heating and Air - No name of work truck to identify the company. Just a heads up for other customers. - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me

Abbott came out and fixed our A/C. The technician was punctual, professional, and did a great job!

NOTE: I wrote this review 2 months ago and accidentally didn't post. Abbott heating & Air For the WIN!!! With 108 heat coming in this weekend, I felt my system was just not able to keep up with 90 heat. Abbott was my 2nd bid because they were a bit farther away from where I live. The owner, Todd and I discussed all the findings from the first diagnotisic and he debunked most all of the "sales schemes" often used by bigger firms with even bigger marketing budgets. I had a crazy quote yesterday (from one of them other bigger companies) that my system needed to be completely swapped out, with silly expensive repair costs, etc. Those "other guys" will sell you beach front property in Arizona, while Todd will explain things logically & honestly. Thanks for talking me off the ledge, Todd!! There's no need to set explosives to your entire house for the insurance payout - just call Abbott Heating & Air to get the job done honestly, quickly and correctly!! read more

Todd was great to work with and was super helpful and friendly throughout the process. We had our AC go out and unfortunately had a broken compressor, which meant a delay while dealing with a home warranty company approval process. Todd checked in with them regularly and got us a replacement ahead of schedule, and in time to avoid the next heat wave, which was a lifesaver! He also went out of his way and picked it up himself rather than wait for shipping which saved us time and was above and beyond. Thanks so much for your help! I hope we don't need AC repair any time soon, but if we do, we know who to call! read more

Completed work on time and is honest. Explained in detail what was going on and provide options. Reasonable prices.

Had Abbott heating and air look at my system. He was absolutely useless. Charged me $280 for 15 minute inaccurate diagnosis. He recommended relocating the condensor without an adequate inspection of the lineset. Lineset turned out to be in great shape and only had a faulty part that was easily replaced. He said that this was a homeowner's worst nightmare! His price for R-22 was the highest I had seen, more than twice the price of the company that I hired to make the repairs. Did not appreciate the upsell, which any person doing theif due diligence, would find problematic. Future customers be careful with this company! read more

Our air conditioner went out this week and the struggle was real in this 100° heat. I made a warranty claim and initially got another company before getting assigned to Abbott Heating and Air. (I couldn't event get a hold of the other company after multiple attempts. No names mentioned, but they were the worst!) Anyway, after cancelling with that company and being assigned to Abbott, it was such a pleasant experience. Cece reached out to me immediately and was able to squeeze us into their schedule fairly quickly. Todd came out and fixed it seamlessly. Thanks for the prompt and great service. Y'all crushed it! read more

We just had our central heat system serviced by Todd. He was very informative and thoroughly explained the issue we were having and how he fixed it. We are very pleased with the service and outcome. Going to keep his card for any AC/heating questions or issues we may have from here on out. read more

I will save you the time and money. We went through warranty and this company did nothing. They just want to be paid from the warranty company and not do any work. I tried to ask questions and he did not answer them. He came off like I was bothering him by trying to understand what was going with the AC unit ! Do yourself a favor and go with another company. read more

The technician came a few minute before me to my rental . and when I arrived, he was walking out the door, and he told me the dog pee onair conditioning there is no way he can fix it or replace it and then he didn't really want to talk to me. I was trying to explain to him that we don't have any animals plus when we bought the house the AC was good and running until now and he didn't care. He shut the door on me and he did not want to spend anymore time chatting with me at all. I felt like they just want to collect that money from Home Warrenty and get going. read more

Upon reading some other reviews, maybe I should not have been surprised. Abbott Heating and Air was contacted by our Home Warranty to service our A/C unit which was not blowing cold air. We purchased the house in 2016, and have had minor issues with the a/c every year since then. This is not surprising since this unit is 21 years old and is probably on its last leg, as has been mentioned by past service companies. Home warranties tend to band-aid the problem until a band-aid will no longer work.) It has been identified in the past that there is a small Freon leak and that this unit would need to be replaced sometime soon. When the technician arrived (I think his name is Todd), he spent 5 minutes looking at the unit and determined that nothing was wrong and that it just needed a chemical cleaning. So...we paid him the $280 (not covered by the home warranty) and he spent 10 minutes completing a chemical cleaning, and then was on his way. During this visit, I spoke to him personally about the history of the unit and the problems that we have had in the past with it....and he continued that there was nothing wrong, the Freon was good, and it should not work properly since it is now clean...and off he went. Less that 30 days later, the A/C is once again not blowing cold air. Home warranty called Abbott Heating and air for a re-call service. Todd arrived again, with a bad attitude. He again looked at the unit and side that the compressor valves we bad and said that he would recommend to the home warranty that the compressor be replaced. Now here is the kicker.....in the report the the home warranty, Todd wrote that the reason for the compressor failure and needing to be replaced is due to a small patch of deterioration on the condenser coil that was caused by animal urine. We spoke about this when Todd was here. That small patch of deterioration has been there since we purchased the house in 2016 and has not increased in size over the time of us owning the house. The home warranty will now no longer cover the cost of replacing the condenser because of Todd's report. There was no mention that this unit is 21 years old, or the fact that this has been an ongoing issue, or anything of that sort. He singled out that pet urine was the cause of failure, and now the home warranty will cover NOTHING!!! Todd totally screwed us over! He charged us $280 for a cleaning on a 21 year old a/c unit and now is the reason why our home warranty will not cover the cost to replace the condenser. Would certainly not recommend Abbott Heating and Air. read more

Recently our AC unit stopped working during the amazing summer of Sacramento! Service (for our tech guy and the woman who answers their phone) 5 stars I gave a 4 star only because I was soooooooo hot and miserable and just annoyed cause it was hot LOL But over all they were great! read more

Our AC went out right as it was getting hot. Todd came to service our AC and was very quick. It didn't even take him 20 minutes, he let me know the problem and was on his way. We are extremely grateful. Saved us so much money. Thank you Todd Abbott! read more

Our home warranty (AHS) assigned Abbott to our claim. Our emergency drain line was dripping with water, which meant that the main line was clogged. The service tech (Todd?) arrived within the scheduled time window and was able to resolve our issue relatively quick. In addition, upon our request he pointed out where the main drain line daylights into the patio area. I knocked out one star because he did not wear plastic booties while in our house. He ended up leaving some stains in our carpet which I had to clean up afterwards. read more

This is the second time our home warranty has sent Abbott out for an AC repair and Todd came out both times. We got an appointment fairly quick, had great communication from CeCe, and Todd fixed the issues super quickly. Todd is the true hero of summer! read more

Todd came to fix my furnace after I was assigned by the warranty having to be out of heater for two weeks ( warranty first assigned me to a different company that left my job in The air ). He diagnosed the issue on the spot, ordered the part and picked it up from his supplier and installed and got it to work again in 24 hours. He is professional, reliable, knowledgeable and fast. I would recommend Abbott heating and air for your heating and air conditioning repairs. Cecci who handles the office is great at communicating and customer service as well. read more

Todd was great. He diagnosed the issue with our A/C unit in less than 30 minutes. He was very knowledgeable and explained the issue clearly to us (low voltage wire needed to be replaced). He couldn't fix it that same day because we had a wasp nest in the wire box casing. So we had to schedule for him to come back after I pest control removed wasps. He came back and fixed the unit in less than an hour (and even replaced the bolts for the casing for us) Overall a great experience! Todd knows his stuff and would recommend Abbot to others. P.S. The scheduler at Abbott is Cici and she was great. She called before every appointment to let us know when Todd was on the way. She also called to schedule the follow-up appoinment and had detailed notes about from the first visit. read more

Another company sent out four different techs over the course of 5 weeks who couldn't correctly diagnose the problem. They were in just too much of a hurry to notice that they were doing band-aid fixes rather than getting at the underlying problem. Talk about a living nightmare!! Finally we switched to Abbott... so happy. Got the right diagnosis on the first try! Great job Abbott! read more

We had Air conditioner issues during this 100 degree weather. Todd came out promptly the next morning. It ended up being a glitchy controller. Todd had the parts we needed and also went the extra mile to check vents, air filter and unit. Explained everything thoroughly and was professional in every way. Will definitely use Abbott Heating and Air for anything that comes up in the future. read more

BEWARE!!!! RIP OFF!!! First off...really rude the whole time he was at my home....complained it was hot...no sh*t my air conditioner isn't working! Charged me $550 to clean the evaporator coil which took him 10 minutes to clean. Told me that was "the going rate". I felt he was taking advantage of me from his mysogynist vibe....so I called 15 other repair services and found out the "going rate" is $250 to clean the evaporator coil. I called the company and explained it...she said she would talk to the repairman and get back to me. Never did! DO NOT HIRE this company! I was NOT a no show! I told you I had to pick up a kid at summer school between 12-1 and you thought it would be ok to call at that time to come by. It is even written on the invoice! It is also time stamped through my alarm system the time you spent in the garage "cleaning the coil" and it was 10 minutes! You also were paid for your service by my home warranty company and then decided to soak me for an extra $300 bucks! I would have happily paid $250 for the cleaning....not $550.00! Shame on you! An honest and upstanding business/family man would have taken a more honest approach and suggest I contact a more reasonable repair service instead of insinuating that was "the going rate" and I'd be looking at 2 weeks to get another appointment to have it repaired. Yes, other businesses were very fair and honest about their rates instead of gauging people. Oh....no reason to call me back? Lesson learned! I stand by my review! This is my first complaint....I'm not done!!!!! read more

This was our second time using Abbott. The first time over the winter when our heater didn't work Todd came out diagnosed the problem and was able to fix it. Then on Friday our A/C decided not to work and they were able to come out Monday morning and replace a blown fuse in the attic and now we are nice and cool. Thank you Todd and Cici for your great service read more

I am so pleased with the service I received from Todd at Abbott. The office staff was helpful and able to get me a same day service appointment when my heat went out in the middle of winter... with a newborn! They gave me a courtesy call when they would be 30 minutes out so I didn't have to wait around in the cold house. Todd explained everything and answered all my questions. He personally saw that I got the parts I needed as quickly as possible to perform needed repairs and was back within two days. We have two HVAC systems for our home one for upstairs one for downstairs. One of them went out in December 2021 and we called our home warranty company. It took them three companies to get someone to come out to service it. The first Co. no-showed without even a phone call Long story short this time our second HVAC unit went out and when I called my home warranty company, they tried to send out one of the same companies from the last time that no-showed I said absolutely not the next one in line was Abbott I can't tell you how happy we were with Abbotts responsiveness. We got a phone call on the same day to make the appointment received a call before the technician arrived. He did his work. The AC unit is fully functioning. I can't say enough good compliments in regards to Abbott Heating and Air. Everyone from the first phone call to set up appointment and the service person, Todd, have been amazing, absolutely amazing. This is what has happened.....I had been without heat for 3 weeks... Yes, of course, during this terrible cold spell. I have a home warranty, same home warranty I have had for over 20 years. My name is, Debby Naiman, I am a Realtor with Security Pacific Real Estate for over 34 years. I also was promoting this Home Warranty Company; First American Home Warranty. I have never had a problem with them at all until this situation. They called out another Heating Company, I won't name by name , I had to wait for 10 days for them to even come out and then after the Young Kid took out his phone and stuck a tube into my heat unit, said I had a cracked ??? showed me a photo of 1/2 second, all I could see was dust, they tried to convince First American I needed a new furnace, ($2,990) out of MY POCKET! (I would still be without heat for another 8-10 days so they could order the heater!!! I demanded First American to call in a 2nd opinion. To my rescue they, ThankFully called Abbott Heating and Air for my 2nd opinion. It all started out with the call from CeCe, receiptionist appointment gal @ Abbott Heating and Air on a Monday afternoon, LATE. She was so nice, polite and sympathetic and asked if I would be available the Next Day from 9a - 2pm. I sure made myself available, next day for service (the other company took 10 days to get to me). The next day Todd showed up. So very nice and also polite. He opened up my heater tested many items, it happened to be the igniter and ignition control. That was it. I have heat... Thank You Abbott Heating and Air. You have no idea how it feels to have heat in my home after 3 weeks without. If anyone has a problem with their Heat or come summer AC you need to call ABBOTT HEATING AND AIR. I will always highly recommend them. I hope I made my point with my long story. It is 100 % true. Thanks again ABBOTT HEATING & AIR and Thank You Todd and Ce Ce... Signed: Debby Naiman, Security Pacific Real Estate. Absolutely top-notch people in every category you can think of -- thank you CeCe & Todd for being head and shoulders above your competition and truly caring about your customers and your own reputation as most of your competitors have had so many bad and negative reviews that they couldn't care less if they got a few more and unfortunately home warranty companies still allow them to be part of their service network. Thanks again guys. read more

Overall unhelpful. Todd had his face partial exposed with only his mouth covered. Public and customer safety is not paramount from this will disregar for safety. Customer service is very low on their list. Todd was at my house for less than 5 minutes and was condescending that our ac was running while the smoke was so heavy. Then trying to have another tech come out Cici was very flippant and rude. Unprofessional, paid $75 for 5 minutes of nothing. Thanks I'll go with pretty much anyone else, baking in 100 degree weather is better than dealing with them, save your money. Funny that he has answred with measurements, I'm pretty impressed that from 10 to 12 feet away from my unit was able to gauge 2 inch builf up of ice. The issue is not only the brief interaction, but the gtuff attitude. My wife asked for another tech and after that it went south. Having only 1 tech she was angered that we asked for someone with a better attitude. Being a small business owner i aim to make my clients happy, when approached for an alternative all things failed. It feels like home warranty and high volume of referrals is what keeps this afloat. Todd was willing to charge me full price for a second vist, that's 150 for looking at my ac. Ill just call another company with good customer service instead of a referral mill. read more

We opened a claim through our warranty company for AC repair and were assigned to Abbott. For those of you with home warranties, you know it's basically a roll of the dice as to whether you're going to get a decent contractor! We were lucky and hit the jackpot with Abbott! Our air went out Sunday evening and was fixed and running by Tuesday afternoon - DURING A HEAT WAVE - unheard of! Todd (the owner) was efficient, so knowledgeable and professional! Ceecee, at the office, was a pleasure to deal with! We are so impressed that we're switching to Abbott to take care of our biannual maintenance on our system and we have already recommended them to friends in need of AC repairs! Todd is a great guy and he got our heater fixed in less than half an hour. No nonsense and that's what I like.

Todd is great. My call to Abbott Heating and Air was because my lower floor AC unit's fan stopped running and it was making a loud humming noise along with minimum cooling . He showed up right on time and went right to the unit with all his equipment ready. He cleared my AC problem right away and gave great advice on how to keep my HVAC running properly. After the repairs he then asked me to turn on the unit , adjust the thermostat and everything worked to perfection. Abbott Heating and Air is the company I highly recommend for HVAC problems because they get it right the first time. read more

https://youtu.be/fcrgZLuPLUQ Beware Of Abbott heating and air. I have a contract with American Home Shield they send contractor Todd with Abbott heating and Air who falsified my claim by lying that the speaker wire was the cause of the duct to come apart saying this is not wear and tear but users fault. clearly its evident that he himself twisted the speaker wire and placed it into my ducting to take picture for the insurance company. "Pathetic!" there should be negative stars review... Open youtube like to see exactly what i mean... read more

My AC went out Sunday, one of the hottest days of the summer (so far), so I put in a work order through American Home Shield on that Monday and Abbott (CC) called me the same day to set up an appointment for Wednesday (today). Only two days. Todd just left my house and I couldn't be happier with him and his work. Not only did Todd know his stuff, he was very nice. He diagnosed my problem immediately and had it fixed with a few minutes. He told me exactly what was wrong, showed me the failing part, and even answered my questions about the possible cause. On top of getting my AC blowing nice and cold again, Todd also gave me some awesome fishing tips and spots to try. Thanks Todd!! read more

Our home warranty referred us to TODD. He came by the very next day and took a look around and I told him all the problems I had been having and how I had tried troubleshooting the problem but was not successful. He brought his ladder in (very carefully and paid attention to not hit any walls, very much appreciated) and went into the attic. After a couple minutes, he hypothesized some problems but kept going at it until he figured out the issue! He said most likely it's the run capacitor and replaced it right then! Our heater is in great shape again! Thanks so much TODD! Guarantees his work and I loved how fast and knowledgeable he was and that he had the parts with him! Definitely recommend! read more

We hired them through American Home Shield to investigate why our unit was putting water from the evaporators down the emergency line instead of the primary line. Todd only was at our house for 15 minutes. He was rude and unprofessional to my wife. He told AHS water was going to the secondary line due to unit not being level from settling. First of all he never turned on the AC (we had it off because of a leaky emergency line). How do you root cause a problem without turning the unit ON??? Also if he had used a level instead of his eyes he would have seen the unit was perfectly level. He never checked the lines to see if they were clogged (we found out later one was). I do not recommend him at all for AC work. Addendum added here: Abbot Heating and Air did not analyze issue of why water was going down secondary line correctly. Note he does not defend the fact he did not use a level to make his determination and what he wrote in his report wrt this problem was totally wrong. Also note we didn't say he didn't fix the problem as he did no work to begin with. AHS misquoted our issue with Abbott and I cleared up that issue with Abbott on the phone. Also note you either see 1 STAR or 5 STARS and nothing in between. He also launches into lengthy diatribes against bad reviews calling their truthfulness into question. Not a way to win new business if you ask me read more

I cannot say enough about Todd Abbott of Abbott Heating and Air. He was prompt, efficient and very knowledgeable. Our heater wouldn't work because a previous duct cleaner company put the doors back on incorrectly (and almost caused a fire). While turning up the furnace, Todd tested a capacitor and replaced it. He really cares about his customers and about heating and air! I cannot recommend him more highly. read more
