Traveler's Moon is a really visibly lovely spiritual shop. Everything is laid out nicely,…read moreorganized, and there's a good variety in terms of merchandise available. On the day that I visited, the employee working was warm, welcoming, and kind. She directed me to a table of merchandise that was on sale, and told me about some other deals going on in the shop. I spend a good 20 minutes wandering, taking everything in. Although there was a lot to choose from, I ultimately ended up leaving empty handed. There were a lot of beautiful selections, but at the end of the day I felt that the price of most items was a little too high to justify the purchase. Even for shops in this genre where you'd expect higher price points (independent spiritual shops in small towns that feature a decent selection of locally-sourced merchandise from local artisans), the prices felt a bit high. That all being said, I would imagine that there is a customer base of folks living in or visiting the Outer Banks who could more easily swing the higher price point than I could. If you're in the area and spiritual shops are your thing, this place is definitely work a visit.

The store itself is REALLY cramped - very crowded. I kept knocking into shelves and stuff. Kind of wish there were more spaces to sit and browse, relax, read - it's more of a get what you want and get out kind of vibe. Plus, I found it kind of hard to find things I was looking for. Several authors I follow I couldn't find in their sections. Maybe they have a different niche than what I'm typically drawn to - but there was a nice selection of books in the kids section including a decent showing in teen fiction. Staff was super friendly. Oh, and there was no bathroom. Part of why we had to leave is my little one needed to go, so we had to cut our browsing time short.

This store takes up space in the Outlets of Nags Head. Which is good for the plaza. Think of this as a high end souvenir shop. A lot of beautiful things that you can take home to decorate your place. It almost feels like a library in here. It is quite, bright, and every shelf or table is full of items to browse. A lot of things that look desirable. So many things that you can take a lot of day looking through it all. I came in and looked all around, I went straight to the magnets to add to my collection. My nieces and nephew went straight for the shells. All nice and clean, ready to pick through. They also have this section where they have mini books, which they loved. Walked out of here with many little things, most of which are on the fridge at home. Great place to browse and grab.

Because every drink is handcrafted, and it seems for one person in line orders AT LEAST two coffees, the time spent in line is admittedly long. But people are choosing to spend their mornings here for a hardworking barista using sustainable stuff! The Town of Nags Head requires her to stop making coffee at 11:30 am - so she gives people in line a heads up at 10:30. Some de-caffeinated people get pretty upset, but if she loses her permit for breaking the rules, nobody wins- and I don't want to miss out on my salted caramel latte!
