I would not recommend Baldwin Driver Training. My instructor and the school made me feel like I…read morewould only need six hours of training and then I would be done. That is what my parents and I signed up for and expected. I did not expect that I would have to keep having lessons with my parents. Furthermore, the instructor was not explicit about the consequences of not getting a driver's license, beyond the obvious caveat of relying on other transportation. The instructor did not explain that many employers require a valid driver's license, and thus not getting one hampers the potential for job hires significantly.

Straightforward driver training, just what you'd expect for a teenager. She learned the rules of…read morethe road, got some confidence behind the wheel, and overall it was a decent experience. According to her, the instructor was very patient and helpful, which is exactly what an anxious student needs. As a parent, though, it was frustrating. Trying to actually schedule in-car time can be a pain in the butt, and it seems clear they don't have any computerized records. It also seems they file by instructor name and class time, rather than by student, but that's a guess based on what they asked whenever I was trying to schedule things. The price is about the same as any other school in the area -- for my other kids I'm likely to check out other schools and see if their organization is a little more straightforward. (To be specific... I've been waiting a day for a call back once they "find" her records. Kid needs her car time to get her license, come on!)

Talks to the kids like they're supposed to know everything very condescending. So parents I recommend going inside with your young adults. I had to let her know check her tone with peoples kids especially mine. She will make them lose a lot of business mark my words. Only experienced one rescheduling. However they called with a list of options. They don't offer pick up or drop off from home only office. Patrick is amazing I 1000% recommend him. Smooth process overall all.

So frustrating. Paid for the course for my son and the trainers were wonderful. He did great and…read morethey were constantly working on his skills. Told us he would pass with no issue. They did warn him that during the test; they won't talk to him. He ended up testing with the woman from the front desk who seemed nice enough but yelled at him during his test while he was waiting to turn at his own comfort level (which was not hers) - she got annoyed and asked what are you waiting for? Go! Let's remember we need our kids to come home alive and safe so maybe if they want to wait a bit longer; why is that a problem? Then he supposedly failed because he was too far out of the parallel parking space- which she said was an automatic fail. Well we went to another driver training company and he did one training and a drive- passed with flying colors. Was also told unless he hit a cone or curb; he shouldn't have automatically failed- only lose points. They might want to brush up on the point system to not stress out other kids. It's sad too, because the actual trainers are simply wonderful. But this seemed like just a clear attempt to force us to make more money on their students. Check out other driving schools. Many more really care about the kids safety and ability to drive safely for everyone.

My experience at Fortis has been nothing short of life-changing. Every instructor played a role in…read moreshaping me into the medical professional I am becoming, and I want to acknowledge them individually. Dr. K -- Tough? Absolutely. But every ounce of his toughness came from seeing our greatness before we could see it ourselves. Because of his technique and high standards, I know how to draw blood with confidence. Now that I'm out on externship, I still hear his voice in my head reminding me to stand out, be proficient, and carry myself with professionalism. His approach was never easy, but it was always for the betterment of our success. Ms. Jowers -- Truly the backbone of our program. She works tirelessly around the clock to make sure we're squared away. No matter how busy she is, she always finds time to help students fix errors, understand the process, and keep moving forward. She never wants to see us fail, and her dedication to Fortis, to herself, and to all of her students is unmatched. Ms. Sledge (Program Director) -- She doesn't get nearly the credit she deserves. She is always looking out for her MAs, often putting herself in the line of fire without recognition. She is sharp, has a heart of gold, and genuinely wants her students to excel. She's the type of leader who changes lives quietly but powerfully. Ms. Welch -- Teaches insurance, billing, and coding with the sweetest spirit. Honestly, I despised that class at first, but she never let me give up. She made sure I was prepared for state boards, and even though I don't touch insurance at my externship, I've realized how beneficial it was to learn coding. I'm so thankful for her patience, kindness, and thoroughness. Mr. Ntumi -- Another tough cookie who didn't play about his subject. His brilliance and discipline in teaching anatomy made me retain knowledge I still use today. He set the tone early on: take this seriously, because it matters. His commitment was to our success, and it showed in every lecture and quiz. Overall: My Fortis journey was amazing. As long as you stay focused and driven, you will succeed here. This school sometimes gets a bad rep from people who didn't take it seriously, but for those of us who showed up, did the work, and stayed dedicated -- it was both challenging and fun. I can proudly say I was more than prepared stepping into externship, and I already have opportunities lined up for hire as soon as it ends.
