It brightened our day and made the quaint environment even more wonderful. The cream pasta was so good, wish I took better pictures of the actual pasta as was the samjang lettuce wraps and ttkeogalbi open face sandwich. Every drink was delicious! We got drinks with our meal and then more after to chat over. Recommend anything with jasmine tea it is so good, it's made in house! Really really loved the kumquat jasmine tea.

Well, hate to be frank, but our Souffle Pancake was just very disappointing. While the pancake was nice and fluffy, the toppings and presentation wasn't even close to being as good as they used to be. I felt this was new management, with a whole, new style of doing desserts maybe? In any case, we did think the pancake tasted good...but it was just lacking in the creamy topping, as only the top layer had this creamy base. The lower 2 pancakes had no cream on it...and tasted quite bland. Even the strawberry sauce was minimal...so minimal, I went up to ask for more. Also, the decorative toppings, including the strawberry, were just BLAHHH. If you come here expecting the Strawberry Souffle Pancake of the past, you'll be disappointed. So nope...just not pretty enough for Instagramming. Made me wonder if the rest of the desserts have gone down as well?? For drinks, my husband had Cappuccino, and I had this Oohlong Tea. Not pictured, but the presentation was just passable...and the taste was just OK. If I recall, their drinks used to be presented beautifully as well as their desserts...but from the look of things, that may no longer be true. Guess I may give this place at least another try. Who knows? Maybe it was just an off night?? Hopefully I can upgrade the review on my next v visit...should the dessert and the drink look and taste better. Fingers crossed??

For those who've never been, Manila Mart is a small Filipino grocery store, on the backside of the same shopping as "Treat My Feet" and "Cafe Mozart". Order your "halo halo" at the front counter, and they will go to a separate room behind closed doors (lol) where they create this magnificent dessert :) The guy making my dessert was super nice, and explained "halo halo" means "mixed" - hence you need to mix all the ingredients before consuming ... which was helpful to know b/c otherwise I would've enjoyed it layer by layer. The dessert includes two scoops of ube ice cream (ube is purple yam), dollop of ube jam, corn flakes (great texture enhancer), coconut strings, shaved ice & evaporated milk, and sweet beans. So yummy!! FYI halo halo is $5.99 and totally worth it. I'll be back for more.

Really nice and welcoming people…read more For $8 after tax the halo halo was just OK for me - a little too sweet and not much fillings. There's a variety of fillings - beans, jellies, cornflakes, ice cream but only a little bit of each. Considering all the beans and jellies are canned I felt like the value wasn't completely there. It was mostly sweet milk that was a bit too sweet for me. I am glad I got to try it though!
