I love coming here.. In fact I look forward to my time with Kiki. There is parking for customers in the back, building is easy to find and always clean. Receptionist is always friendly and makes sure the ladies are aware of upcoming appointments. All the ladies there do an amazing job, but my go to is Kiki. She's so bubbly and really distracts you from the pain (if there is any). She's quick and precise and a perfectionist.. Doesn't get much better than that. After not getting a wax in several months, ABB Waxing made returning to the salon much more comfortable and enjoyable. The wax they use is imported from Brazil with ingredients such as bee resin and pine trees, if I'm not mistaken. Ileidys was my salon associate and she took several measures to improve the process for me. When considering the "joy" in waxing, this place makes the process easier. The people are nice, there's always someone around to book an appointment with and they're open 7 days a week. I like some of the wax women better than others, but they're all pretty consistent. I would say, out of the wax-specific places in Miami, this one is one of the best. The parking at this building is sometimes tricky during high traffic times because there is a Starbucks and a Subway in the location, but other than that, it's super fast, relatively painless (?) and consistent. read more

I love ABB. I can't wax my face because I have very sensitive skin. Giselle is the only person who has threaded my face and given me little to no irritation afterwards as where I usually have quite a bit of breaking out with anyone else. She usually does my bikini wax as well as Sally. They are both great, friendly, and efficient. They really know how to make me feel comfortable during this very uncomfortable service. I only give four stars because the front desk people I've dealt with besides the gentleman aren't very friendly and the space could use an updated look in my opinion. I called and made a last minute appointment for a Brazilian wax. It was a couple days before July 4th, so I was expecting to be told they were full, but to my surprise the receptionist squeezed me in at the end of the day and told me they would take care of me. I arrived 30 minutes before closing time and was the last client to be seen. My waxer, Patricia, made it immediately clear that I was an inconvenience to her and rolled her eyes when I told her I wanted a full Brazilian and not just a bikini wax. I get it, I was the last appointment of the day during what must have been a busy week. And I would never have bothered to write a Yelp review (my first ever) if she had done even a decent job. Clearly in a rush to get home, Patricia ripped off the hard wax before it even had time to dry. This resulted in her missing a TON of hair and irritating my skin. She even commented (TMI sorry) that I have very little hair and yet she still managed to miss most of it. I ended up paying nearly $50 (including 20% tip) for the worst Brazilian wax I've ever received. Additionally, as others have commented, the salon has a weird smell and is very dingy looking, not at all like the photos posted here on Yelp. I care more about quality service than I do about atmosphere, but it leaves me wondering why the prices are so high. Clearly it's neither for service nor for atmosphere. I gave them two stars instead of one because I hope this was a one-time fluke during a busy week. Though I was grateful they took me at the last minute, I ultimately would have preferred being turned away and finding a new salon. There are many other places in Miami offering quality waxes at lower prices. I will not be returning to ABB. read more

Traveling from Vermont and called for an appointment - was able to get in within the hour. Had to wait an extra 10-15 minutes upon arriving. The owner took me so I didn't wait any longer and she was awesome! She's a super friendly Brazilian woman who made me feel very comfortable. She uses gentle products and is very attentive to detail. I got the full Brazilian and it was the most painful Brazilian I've ever had (I was literally screaming). She told me I was done prematurely and I had to ask her to go over some of the spots that she missed. When I got home, I realized that there were even more spots that she missed. I'm terrified always with trying new places, especially with the poor treatment u usually get in miami, u know what i'm talking about? The one that makes u feel not like they are giving u a service, but doing u a favor... Yeah, that treatment. But I live right up the street from this place so I decided to call for an appointment. Bianca, the girl that answered the phone to book my appointment wasn't excited at all about the fact that I stated I was gonna be a first timer. How about u try and make the customer feel welcome on that phone call they made to try ur business? I know it might not be "your" business, but u represent the owner if u didnt know... She was very sarcastic and nonprofressional at all during our phone call. I almost hung up the phone while I was on hold, but I took a deep breath and decided that it isn't the owner or aesthetician's fault that the receptionist has poor customer service skills. I will go on with my appointment this weekend, but I am already mentally prepared for a bad experience as it started bad since the appointment phone call. I came in yesterday (Wednesday) and was serviced by Julia. I got three different areas waxed and I was holding my breath for that first peel but surprisingly it was less painful than I thought!... This was my first time getting a Brazilian wax and surprisingly enough it didn't hurt that bad. Their location on Normandy Drive is very nice and welcoming. The complaint that I have is that I asked for just the full Brazilian which is $27, the girl asked me if that's it and I confirmed. While waxing, and without asking me, she decided to do my inner thighs and stomach. To my understanding (because I am part Brazilian) the butt is always included in a FULL Brazilian wax, well here no. So along with the butt, thighs, and stomach it came out to $63, a $36 difference from the $27, without being asked. Needless to say I'm not pleased about that. Love the wax I got, but seriously I think that is completely unprofessional especially if she asked me if I was just getting the full Brazilian wax. Don't know if I'll be going back now because of that. read more

I've been getting waxed for ten years in many places, because I move frequently, and this is by far the best wax I've ever had. From start to finish the procedure took 10 minutes for a full Brazilian. The wax they use is organic and my skin feels smooth for longer than any wax I've had before.
