Great experience!! Now, if you don't scare easily, I can see where this might not be your thing. However, if you don't scare easy, but you can still have a good laugh at the expense of your friends, then definitely go. But, if you don't scare easily AND you're a negative Nancy, just stay home. No one wants you around anyway! I'm not sure what people's expectations are. I think as far as haunted houses go, this place does a great job! Now, like I said, I scare pretty easily so it's not hard to scare me. I will say this. Place in line matters. If you're in the front, you're going to get scared first! So you'll have more of a thrill than the people behind you because they'll be expecting it. There are tons of nooks and crannies in the corn field and in the houses. They jump out at you at all angles and if you're in the back, they jump out at you there too. I'll also say this, the novelty wears off after a while. After the first hour of getting scared, you kind of stop being scared. It's weird actually. Of course there are still things that are scary, especially if you can't see! But overall you get less and less scared as time goes on. With that being said, it's still great! Even when I wasn't at my jumpiest, I still had fun! I think next year I'll go to the black out one because that just seems terrifying! And it will be something new since I'll already kind of know what to expect. The only other cons were the strobe lights. I had to close my eyes and hang on to the guy in front of me when they were around. Instant headache! Luckily for me and my friend, the group that we got stuck with was very friendly. The guy in front of me let me hang on him and he warned me when we had to step up or down. I was grateful. Definitely hugged and got hugged by strangers. If you don't like to be touched or to be in close proximity of people, you should give this a hard pass. Also, and I'm not saying this to be rude because I'm big myself, but it's fat person friendly, as I was kind of worried about that. However I'm not so sure it's meant for extremely tall people... It was not as packed as I thought it was going to be the weekend before Halloween. The area is made for lots of people, they definitely seemed ready for a crowd. I'd say that paying to skip isn't worth the extra $10. Again, it might have been a fluke that it wasn't actually that busy. We did wait until 9 to leave. It's a 30 minute drive from Bayview, but it's an easy drive. The place is not hard to find at all and they direct you wear to park. The price was seriously was sold me to begin with. Cornfield and two haunted houses for $30? I hope it stays the same price next year. I'll definitely be back!!

It was most definitely spooky and creepy. I gave plenty of screams and lots of laughs in every house. My favorite was the haunted corn maze, lots of in and outs and random creatures jumping out of nowhere. One tip I give you... if it's a busy night, you must invest in the fast pass cause we stood in line for over an hour for each house just to get it.

I came here last night and had an awesome time. Their are 3 haunted houses that take about 30-35 mins each, they're super scary, and cool!

This is a really good hunted house with really good props and actors, down fall is it's not big person friendly so it's little more tighter.

It's worth it to do all three events (and if you're not a fan of a long line, the fast pass might be worth the extra ten dollars!).

We bought the VIP tickets so that we could skip the lines and I'd say it was definitely work it. Some of the lines were super long so we lucked out. My only few complaints are that I think in certain areas they need more lighting or at least right around the steps/slopes because it's a bit hard to see when you're walking... and I also think (if possible) they could expand it to maybe 5 or 6 total mazes. 4 just seemed like just a bit little IMO. The first and second mazes were actually amazing, but the 3rd was just ok and the 4th we weren't a big fan of. Having the option to do one or two more would've been fantastic. Also, the bathroom seemed pretty clean considering it was a group of portapotties.

There is a bar at the top of the hill that has an awesome seating area with a fire pit! I really liked this area. It's a nice spot to chill if you brought your kids and didn't actually want to do the haunted house. We ended up parking far away because none of the people managing that told us there was parking closer to the gate. A qualm but meh, not a big deal. We went at a good time where I didn't feel overwhelmed by people. I think they did a great job. There was a blonde creepy chick who scared me to death! She needs a raise because she literally was so scary with the fake tools shoved up her nose. There were two sections where I screamed so hard I was so freakin scared! So kudos!! My friends and I had the best time! Glad I went back.

I'm the last person who should be reviewing a haunted anything as I can't handle even the most…read moreinnocuous ghost stories enjoyed by tots (e.g. was totally freaked out by Wallace & Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit). So, the physicality of enclosures designed to terrify adults is just not something that interests me. However, I couldn't be more enthused about this bit of local flavor: Every October, a family in the sleepy town of Roselle sets up three big tents in their front yard and crafts within them a truly excellent Halloween experience for the community. We'd been noticing the tents for a while, but only started investigating them last year. I figured it was going to be the usual cutesy Halloween stuff, but no. The level of creepiness and goriness was such that I couldn't handle actually entering the tents, so I mostly looked on as my partner Wolf R. had a good time checking everything out. But even he got a little surprise at the end: While looking into the coffin in the last tent, he was spooked by a large vampire swinging down from above, and a second later, he was further startled by a person dressed in all black, including a black face mask, creeping up behind him. I'd have laughed if I wasn't so busy making sure nothing was creeping up behind me. This year I felt a bit more bold and decided to follow a whole group of little kids into the leftmost tent, themed like a haunted carnival with evil clowns. This ain't so bad, I thought, enjoying the creative clowns and even snapping a pic. And then, I don't even understand what it was, but the odd noises and spinning lights they'd set up conspired to get under my skin and I felt like I was going to totally lose it if I didn't retreat *immediately*. My god. The middle tent was the gory cannibalistic one, with zombies and body parts and -- well, I won't spoil it for you. It was so gross that I couldn't actually look at it long enough to take a picture. And this year, the last tent was themed like a haunted hotel with black lights. Nothing jumped out at my partner this time but he still loved it. As it turns out, the haunted house also promotes a good cause: They collect non-perishable food for the Bloomingdale Food Pantry. The family also accepts donations if you'd like to chip in to their haunted house efforts. I'm just hoping they'll do a set of friendly winter wondertents one of these Decembers :) Hours: According to the listing on this page (http://www.wlsam.com/calendar/default.asp?DATE=10/11/2012), they're open 6-10PM Thursdays through Sundays in October, with extended hours in the last week of October.

They have…read morerules about arriving at your designated time no more than 10 minutes early, 10 minutes late but it honestly doesn't matter, because all general admission had to stand in the same line. Fast pass was $10 more...ultimately that extra 10 was worth saving me the amount of time I would have wasted standing there to wait to get in. Each house takes about 5 minutes to get through and there are only 3. You're waiting longer to get IN each house, than you are to actually go through them. So that's a tad unsatisfying. We had been waiting...about 20-30 minutes to get into the houses before we decided to get the fast pass. Literally no one was paying for fast pass so we were able to just go right in. Getting the fast pass guarantees you go first. Which causes the wait time for general admission to be longer, because they stagger YOUR group. Literally no one is wearing masks nor are they social distancing, so go at your own risk. But! They also don't make you go in with strangers! You might run into people depending on how long it takes you and them to walk through. I tended to take longer because I'd stop walking if I got scared. Unlike THHE (the Hills Have Eyes), this place offered a few carnival-like games and seemed to have food. I mean literally no one was playing the games, eating or drinking though. I'm on the fence about how to rate this place. I'll say this, this one was just as expensive as the THHE and had less to offer, so that's a no-thank-you. But it was only just as expensive because we ultimately found it worth it to pay more to save time with the fast pass. Time is precious! We would have been waiting over an hour just to get through 3 houses that only take 5 minutes to walk through. I will say this though!!!; WF was scarier than THHE, just IMO. But like, kudos to WF because the last haunted/scary house of WF had almost no one working in it. It was PITCH black, with a light flickering on so often. And it was maze like. So I was already scared going in because I had no idea what to expect in the dark. I actually enjoyed that aspect, although my friend thought it was lame that no one was even there to jump out and scare you. Finding this place was easy and parking was straightforward. I don't think the experience was worth the price, however I can't be that mad because I had fun and that was the goal.
