This was one element that was done better here than the other room I've done elsewhere. The room was $25 per person, which I prefer to having a flat fee for the entire room, and you are always in a private room with just your group (whereas some places will fill the whole room with additional people). The value for the cost is well worth it, due to some elements of the room. I can't go into much more detail than that so I don't give anything away! Your guide is not in the room with you, which was also a difference from the other escape room I've done. It was fun to have the clues on the screen. You get unlimited clues, and all were very helpful. We had a group of six people and we were just getting the door open as time ran out. It was exhilarating, challenging but not frustratingly so, and really well done. I will definitely go back to do the other room and they were working on a third room as well.

We had 4 doctors, a nurse and a teacher in our group, so we thought we would surely get through with no help with that much education in one room. 6 hints later and 50 secs to spare, we made it. We laughed a ton and thought the hour went by extremely fast. Two things that are nice about this place are that you don't share the room with other parties and the game master isn't in the room with you! Can't wait to go back and try the other room.

But there was a snowstorm when the reservation was so I had to cancel it. Staff at the great escape room allowed me to keep all of my credits there and use them up. I have now worked my way through almost every room at this space, cashing in on those credits that I had purchased over a year ago. Now that is good business! I can't speak too much about the puzzles in the room, because that would defeat the purpose, but would definitely recommend going here. I can't wait for them to release new rooms to try. He was so patient and attentive, when we were having troubles starting up a game he was literally running around the store to help us. He always apologized for technology being slow/malfunctioning and generously added time onto our stay to make up for it. All around the VR is an amazing time and both the girls and myself love it. Escapes rooms are something we do as a family and I'd say we are experienced. We get out of most…read moreof the rooms we try and usually aim to use very few clues if we can. Being that they had a room called The Cabin that was being discontinued we chose it since we are in the area usually a couple of times a year and are often looking for another room to play. Being a cabin theme we weren't sure it was going to be much different than so many of the other cabin rooms we have done before but we decided to give it a try anyway. Gameplay was good and made sense which is super important to us. We have so much more fun when we understand the puzzles and they work. We did use a couple of clues to help us along and made it out with a descent amount of time left. There was a good number and variety of puzzles and clues and we felt accomplished when we finished. The young man who was our game master did a good job paying attention to where we were in gameplay and knew what we needed when we asked for clues which made the experience better than some others we've had elsewhere. I think he said they have only been open for around 6 months. We look forward to visiting again when we are back in the area. Check them out!

Out of the Box has any toy /game /puzzle /book you could ever dream of, it's honestly SO astounding! Towards the back of the store is their collection of puzzles, and even though we've made our way out of complete quarantine (shoutout to all the puzzles we did last spring), that doesn't mean puzzles should go out of style!! They even have puzzles that are pictures of local spots and attractions like the Big Red Lighthouse in Holland! The people are so friendly and welcoming every time we go in for a new challenge. They keep a fun variety of rooms and always changing to something new and better.
