I attended a reception here, and that sealed the deal for me entirely. They really advertise for a much better experience than what is given in reality, including "on-Site and Transportation to and from the venue," which means that if equipment breaks down (and it did) that you are left waiting to pile onto a bus whenever they can get one to your guests. Walking into the space, all I could see was an awful slab floor. It looked as if they were still in renovation stage or something. Just awful. Your guests get one little coat rack that looks as if they bought it online, and it's in a back hallway as you make your way to the restrooms. It's a cramped space and I wonder why this place was so poorly built, but then I remembered what I call the 'benefactor factor,' and it became more and more clear. The only way that this place becomes "gorgeous," as it's been referred to in other posts, is if you spend a ton of money with a trained event professional (outside and separate cost, of course) to beautify it. Otherwise, you have a small room with a slab floor to work with. The only redeeming quality of the place is the outside deck.

Entry to the Frederik Meijer Gardens was $25 for adults which allows you to see the outdoor Chihuly exhibits and $9 to view the indoor Radiant Forms. It was a beautiful sunny day and 72 degrees. The outdoor grounds have partial shade. With the extensive walking and sunshine it can get warm. There are water stations if you have a water bottle. I recommend bringing a water bottle to stay hydrated. They have plenty of free parking on site and it is easy to enter and exit. Please allow at least a half of a day to see everything if you walk fast. They also have a hop on hop off tram at the outdoor grounds for an additional $9.

One entrance has open windows with no glass, you feel like you are both indoors and outdoors at the same time. I arrived a few minutes after opening time before many people had arrive so it was even more quiet and calming. The employees are helpful and kind. The art is interesting. The plants are staggered so that something is always blooming or colorful. Since I was last there, the Japanese gardens have been improved, and an ice cream shop (Hudsonville and Love's) has been added near the children's area. Kids can play on things or roll down hills of grass. In 2026 there's an incredible exhibit of Dale Chihuly glass sculptures. Many are installed outdoors and you can discover them wandering around. The indoor exhibit (extra cost) showcases some of his most famous and star-making works. Gorgeous.

Was then met at the entrance with a tray of mimosas! There was a well done appetizer lay out. Beautiful view of the course out the windows of the dining area. Great soup, salad, and sandwich. My husband and I were looking for a beautiful venue with historic charm, & we were blessed to find this gem so close to home! Spending the morning at Venue3Two as we prepared for the ceremony was such a peaceful experience! As I got my hair & makeup done, as we got dressed, as we did our first look, as we took pictures with the bridal party, I was just amazed by the romantic elegance found in every corner & every room of the 1920s mansion! Then, after we returned from the ceremony at my church, one of my favorite moments of the day was bustling my dress in the bridal suite on the second floor & looking out the window to the backyard where I saw guests relaxing on the terrace & enjoying cornhole & giant jenga (outdoor games the venue provided). During the cocktail hour and reception, I loved being able to enjoy drinks in the great room as well as the charcuterie table in the dining room, being able to feel the sunshine through the large windows as we dined in the conservatory, & being able to find delicious desserts in the kitchen. Another one of my favorite parts of the venue was the fireplace in the great room where we displayed the family wedding photos on top of the mantle. Every time I walked past it, I found guests & other vendors taking a look at the photos which made me smile! We also had our engagement photos displayed on the giant TV in the conservatory which people loved to look at throughout the cocktail hour & reception! In the evening, the terrace was magical with its outdoor lights providing a perfect romantic setting for the rest of the night. I can't believe how smoothly everything ran throughout the day, and that is because of the incredible service provided by the Venue3Two team! They were very professional & attentive, and my venue coordinator, Stochia McDaniel, was so incredibly helpful as we discussed & planned the big day for several months! I have a unique experience in that we had our ceremony a week prior to our reception. This park is one of our oh-so-favorites in the summertime, and it's a popular place on a Friday night. ⁣ ⁣ I absolutely love walking around downtown EGR, and one of my favorite places to walk is Waterfront Park. If you follow the path to water, there is a beautiful lookout of Reeds Lake. You can admire the sun shining on the water or you can have a seat and read a book! In the summer, I love to grab ice cream at Jersey Junction and walk to this lookout. ⁣ ⁣ It's a great place to take kids, as there is always plenty of fish, tadpoles, frogs, and turtles to see! It's a great area to walk and run! You can often find people fishing at the end of the dock too! ⁣
