Be absolutely sure to get your quote in writing with this company. Adam didn't want to come out ahead of time, so he gave me a quote by phone. No big deal. Seemingly. The tree-cutting guys were there on time and were courteous and informative. Unfortunately, they didn't cut down all the trees that Adam had quoted. So, I was left with 6 young trees still standing in the yard that Adam told me would be removed. It wasn't a misunderstanding; I gave Adam the exact number and size of the trees to be removed when he gave me the quote. I called Adam on it and, after some discussion, he said he would "make it right on the next job". He offered no partial refund and did not offer to complete the job...instead, he apparently wanted me to give him another job so he could make right the overcharge/non-completion of the first job. Wait...what? Bottom line: if I can't trust Adam Bright on the very first job, I can't trust Adam Bright on any other jobs. I highly un-recommend this company. Adam Bright's team just left my yard! I couldn't be more pleased, impressed and happy with the service. It is professional, expert and responsive. The team consists of two pros, one cutting down and trimming trees, the other gathering up everything and shredding it a machine that digests everything from 6 inch in diameter limbs and trees. These two men were efficient and removed six trees ranging from 20" in diameter and 35' tall to six" saplings plus lofty limbs rubbing against my roof. I recommend this company without reservation. "Adam Bright Tree Service Review: 0 stars: My husband and I got an estimate to limb back two cottonwood trees, remove nine other trees from our property, have the stumps poisoned, and then have the stumps and some cottonwood roots at the surface of our lawn ground down and removed. The estimate was for $3,000. Unfortunately, we failed to get the estimate in writing. The day the job started, the gentleman who was to supervise the job was gone off and on all day. As a result, one of the cottonwoods that was to limbed back was butchered, having all its limbs removed up about two stories so that it looked like an ice cream cone with a tree on top. As a result, the two trees that were just going to be limbed back had to be removed...otherwise we would have been the laughing stock of the neighborhood. That brought the job to $4,500! Not something we had budgeted for. The stumps were not ground out until the day we left for an extended vacation. Imagine our dismay when we returned and discovered that not only had the cottonwood roots not been ground out, but that where each stump was ground, there was about 3-4 feet of wood chips and debris left behind that had not been cleaned up and hauled away! And because we were gone for more than two weeks, now the mess was all over the yard. We signed off on the job and paid them in full before leaving for vacation, trusting the company at its word. When I called Adam Bright to ask them to come back and finish the job we had already paid them to do, he refused, telling me, "I can't babysit your emotions;" "You are insane;" and "Please do not call this number again." And I was being nice! Please beware if you choose to use this company. At the very least, make sure you get your estimate, including all details, in writing before the job starts." Called and asked if they could come to check out tree trimming and tree removal. Made an appointment to give us an estimate for Friday afternoon. Waited all afternoon and called about 4-4:40 to ask what happened and got a recording. Still waiting! read more

I really believed that this company would do a good job the estimator was thoughtful although his numbers initially were all over the place I called the company and confirmed the price and went over all the details with the owner When they came out they did not know what they were meant to do and the estimator hasn't shown up yet so I had to go around and show them what we agreed on The the estimator knocked on the door and told me not to be surprised if most of one of the trees that was supposed to be pruned wouldn't be pruned. Even though we agreed that the tree would be trimmed and that the branches that extended over the ramp would be cut back they decided that the job would just be to cut those branches that hang over the ramp. As far as the second tree that was supposed to be. It looks like it had a bad haircut because the details in the notes specified that the tree shouldn't hang over the fence they just chopped the branches that were touching the fence and left the rest uneven and the branches on the ground The juniper that hung over a fruit tree was supposed to be cut back all the way up they merely cut some branches that were at the lowest point When I called to ask the owner to have them do what we originally decided he was extremely rude until I finally hung up and then he called back with a nicer attitude and said he'd send someone to go pick up those branches and get it done and that he'd call first so I wouldn't be caught by surprise Instead he apparently had sent the estimator back without notice, and he too quickly for me to get the door. yesterday they were doing the job (that they got when they were at my house )cutting my neighbors trees. I asked the same guy that left the branches in my backyard if he could just at least pick up those branches they left behind He claimed that he would but of course he never did. When I called and made a payment right after they left I said I was doing so in good faith that they come back and pick up the branches and finish the two trees. The company is joining the forces of a lot of liars whose reputation is going to be hurt by not keeping their word. Feb 4, 2015: Not having our stove yet, we ordered a cord of wood. We also didn't know too much about the whole ordeal about ordering wood. After receiving it, we stacked it, and later my wife inspects it and says that doesn't look like a cord of wood. We measure it, and it's probably 3/4th there. It's 4x8 (maybe 8) and x3 at the most. Calling and speaking with David, they promise to make it right. That's awesome. But He won't do it right away. It's not efficient for him to come out with such a small load of wood, I'm told. I have to confess I don't care what's efficient, I want what I've paid for. And what I've got so far is just a truck pulling up and dumping a bunch of wood in my driveway. Wood that's clearly just scrap. Some wood was very questionable and appeared to be even wet at the time. Not having a stove then, we just put it away and focused on trying to get the stove. We'll see how long time it takes to deliver, and how it turns out, and I will update accordingly. For now, I'll leave it to be a 2/5 with potential to be adjusted. Stay tuned. If I could give less than one star, I would certainly do so! Talk about not getting what you pay for! It's basically theft at this point. I was nice and just wanted to rectify the situation. Be very cautious because AB handles customer service with a chainsaw of a tongue! Verbally abusive and accusatory. I finally cut my losses to avoid dealing with someone so negative! I Will never use any other service! I've been so happy with their work. I've had them out numerous times over the last three years. The most impressive work I've seen them do was removing a large Pondarosa from the middle of my deck with numerous other trees surrounding it. They extracted it without damaging any of the surrounding plants, landscape or house. They masterfully cut back the stump which was below deck level at that point. They are very conscientious and willing to modify work if needed. I recommend them to my friends and clients hold them in the highest regard for trimming, cutting, grinding and removing. read more

There is no question that this guy does great work! What I appreciated the most was the straight forward type of guy Adam is. Spoke with him directly and it felt like family. Totally respectful and helped us out with our yard in our first home here in Bend! He even hooked it up with some firewood. Was a freaking magic show out there! Love these guys. We ordered 4 cords of wood. They dropped off 3 1/4, which we figured out after spending hours stacking it. When we call them regarding this, they told us they would come pick up all the wood and give us our money back, but they would not bring us more wood. Their response was we stacked it differently than they did. Really? A cup of sugar is a cup of sugar. They are liars and criminals and jerks. Do not use this service. read more

Where do I start? Without notice they were 3 hrs late for an all day job cutting down 2 large junipers, resulting in having to come back 3 days later. On Day 1, they wiped out my gutter with their truck mirror when leaving, saying it would be taken care of. Upon returning to finish the job, I was handed the invoice with no mention of gutter damage, so I said I'd pay upon gutter work completion. After 2 wks of no communication and leaving messages, I finally called a gutter guy to come out for an estimate and commit to the job. Today I got a threatening call from Mr. Bright demanding my credit card for payment, saying I'm holding his money hostage! I explained again I was waiting for gutter repair and he started screaming at me over the phone. I asked him several times to stop, calm down and give me the number of 2 gutter companies he'd gotten estimates from. Apparently, they'd been directed by him to come on my property, through my back gate without my knowledge or consent, to inspect the damage. After getting their numbers, he continued to scream & demand payment. I hung up on him, called his 2 contacts, then the Sheriff Department. read more

My husband ordered wood from an ad in the newspaper without reading online reviews..when it was delivered I questioned if it was a cord. The guy says "we don't measure it, but it looks like a cord". I had to ask for a receipt and was charged an additional $10 for delivery. When I started stacking it I noticed about half of it was wet and not seasoned. My husband specifically asked about seasoned as we wanted to burn it now. I would not recommend them for wood. read more

Had them come out to give an estimate. Was pressured into setting up a date and time. I cancelled the day before they were to come out. Adam called at 6 am on my home phone, which I did not give him, and read me the riot act on the phone and said I should have cancelled sooner(that is the mild version). Let me first say, "I love people and get along with everybody." However, I have just had the worst experience I have had in years in dealing with Adam Bright Tree Service. My wife and I both answered the door when they knocked. The man at the door decided he needed to spit while he talked with us. He felt free to spit all over our plants by the front door. The company was hired to prune three smaller trees in our backyard. One of them is an apple tree. The limited amount of apples on the tree were no longer edible because it was late November. Since they were cutting the branches back on the apple tree I asked if they would put the apples in a bag instead of leaving them on the ground. The reply was actually shocking, "No, we're not here to pick fruit off the ground, but trim trees." There were four workers who came to our house, so it only would have taken an extra couple of minutes to pick the 30 or so apples up. I extend a lot of grace to a lot of people, but I will never intentionally have a working relationship with this company in the future. I some how even feel "violated" just by my experience with these people and this company. This is as true and accurate as I can write it. read more
