This was the worst renting experience of my life. Whenever I travel, I always check reviews and ratings of apartments. I found one on AB Apartment Barcelona that had only positive reviews, so I booked it. However, it turned out that the apartment had severe issues with humidity, which resulted in mold appearing everywhere, even damaging my clothes and luggage. Initially, the customer support team accused me of not ventilating enough, but later they acknowledged that the apartment had significant issues and was uninhabitable due to health concerns. They agreed to provide me with another apartment, which was significantly smaller than the previous one and did not cover any cost related to the damage they made to my goods.
After two weeks, the entrance door literally fell off the hinges, leaving us unable to leave the apartment for several days. This made us wonder whether all of their apartments had issues. After I left, they messaged me, ten days later, saying there was damage in the apartment, and sent me some images without explaining the issues. After I asked for justification, the support team said they had decided to deduct it from the deposit. They provided NO INVOICE or DETAILS on what was broken or how much it would cost to fix it.
