Amongst the other Publix in the area this one is the largest and most modern offering self-checkout unlike the others. The produce here is always fresher and they don't burn their Dutch apple pies. The store is always clean and organized and if you need help a friendly associate is always there to assist. Usually, I don't get to the supermarket until late after the seafood department is closed. Sometimes I can find snow crab legs steamed from earlier that day in the refrigerated seafood section. This supermarket chain has always advertised every fish in our fresh seafood case is never frozen. I have personally seen frozen fish in their seafood case and living in Georgia I hope they do freeze whatever they don't sell to keep it fresh. When I come to a Publix, I always take advantage of the Buy one get one free deals, this location is never out of anything. I have never purchased anything from the deli but every time I shop here that area is always busy. This is definitely the best grocery store in the Warner Robins area. Not only do they have a great customer service, but I also feel safe shopping here.

We noticed a car's hood was smoking because the employees came out to help the woman signaling to cut off her car. I am pretty sure their shift just ended because they all seemed to be closing for the night and multiple employees walked out of the building. The lady parked her car at Waffle House and they walked over to help. Their interaction with the customer was a breath of fresh air. One of the employees gave her a ride. It was such a kind and caring interaction and the world needs more people like them! We will definitely be trying them out in the future based on this kind interaction outside of their workplace.

In particular, I wanted to buy some oxtail! I called The Butcher Shop to see if they had any and the guy who answered the phone was so kind and patient. He took the time to answer all of my questions. They do sell oxtail for $16.99/lb. I arrived to the store and to my surprise, they have beef bacon! I LOVE BEEF BACON. It's so hard to find it now a days, but when I do find it I definitely treat myself! I can't wait to cook it for breakfast tomorrow. Highly recommend The Butcher Shop and I'll be back soon!

My husband and I pass the signs at least once a week heading north to Macon and finally decided it was time to see what they had to offer. After turning off the highway, drive slow because this quaint little country store is tucked away just a block down the road on a corner lot. We parked in the grass beside the store and immediately noticed the rocking chairs out front filled with customers happily enjoying ice cream and cobbler. Honestly, that alone felt like a good sign. Inside, the store is small but packed with goodies. They had a produce section with fresh cucumbers, onions, sweet potatoes, and the first peaches of the season. Of course, I grabbed a little bit of everything. They also sell salsas, pecans, candies, homemade cobblers, ice cream, and plenty of other tempting Southern treats. The gentleman working there, who I assume was one of the owners, was incredibly friendly and proudly told us the peaches were the first of the season, juicy now but even better as the season goes on. Naturally, we bought some, and wow... they were some of the sweetest, juiciest peaches I've ever had. Grocery store peaches could never. I also picked up a jar of tequila salsa because I had never seen that before, and it ended up being fantastic, spicy with a really balanced flavor. Definitely something I'd buy again. Before leaving, we had to try the peach cobbler. Now, cobbler is usually my husband's thing, not mine, but this may have converted me. It tasted homemade, loaded with fresh peaches, and wasn't overwhelmingly sweet like many cobblers tend to be. They also offer blackberry cobbler or a half and half mix if you can't decide. Overall, we were really impressed with this little country store and will absolutely be back. If you're passing through Byron on I-75, I definitely recommend pulling over and giving Barbour Farms a try. Just don't blink or you'll miss it!

The commissary offers a wide selection of products, including salads, vegetables, beverages, personal care items, desserts, frozen entrees, meat, and poultry. Plenty of checkout areas exist; however, a waiting line forms, which becomes busy with service personnel and others attempting to avoid peak hours. Personnel are available to assist with bagging groceries and loading them into vehicles. A self-checkout option is also available to bypass lines. Disabled veterans and customers with disabilities are permitted early entry. Handicapped parking is limited, while regular parking is ample.

Once you're eligible, commissary access is unlimited, which makes this a valuable perk for those who qualify. My husband and I tend to stick to the fresh produce, beverages, and frozen items, and for what we purchase, the prices are consistently cheaper than local grocery stores. The savings may not apply across every aisle, but for our staples, it's definitely worth the trip. The commissary also has a sizable bakery section. Everything always looks tempting and well-stocked, though I personally haven't tried any of the baked goods yet. I've only shopped here on Sundays due to their limited hours, but my husband often comes during the workweek and says it can get extremely busy, especially during peak times. Checkout options include self-checkout lanes as well as assisted checkout lines. The assisted lanes come with friendly cashiers and incredibly hardworking baggers--usually older women--who bag your groceries and insist on taking them out to your car and loading them for you. If you choose this option, be sure to bring cash for tipping, as opting out isn't really an option once you're in those lines. Because of this, many shoppers avoid assisted checkout altogether and prefer to wait longer at self-checkout so they can bag their own items. Overall, the prices are good, the selection is decent, and you can absolutely cover all your basic grocery needs here. If you're eligible to shop at the Robins AFB Commissary, it's a practical and budget-friendly choice, just plan your timing and checkout strategy wisely.
