Anywhere you go, you should comparison shop; but I have a list of things that Big Lots always carries that are always cheaper than the stores. Most of these items are specialty products or imports and good quality. Some are imported and then packaged here in the U.S.A. We are especially fond of a line of pickled baby beets. I found both the whole and sliced baby beets today and a jar of true baby Polish Dill pickles and a glass jar of beautiful peaches. You'll find imported and gourmet jams and jellies and sauces here, too. I've bought a little bit of everything at Big Lots. The food section in this store today was attractively arranged, very clean - no leaking jars or sticky anything - and the location of items made sense. Check out was pleasant and swift.
