Rustic Log Furniture - Broken springs on the far chair - most recent problem

    Rustic Log Furniture

Customer beware!!!!!…read more We spent almost $6000.00 on furniture manufactured by this company in 2011. Listed below is each piece we purchased, the problems we have experienced, the date when problem occurred, and any resolution. Please note we are two seniors with no one else in the home. Rocking Recliner Chairs (quantity 2) 2011: The day after we received the chairs - the reclining levers fell off. The owner of the local store where we purchased the furniture came over and fixed the chairs. 2014: The foot rest on one chair fell off due to fasteners popping out. We fixed it ourselves. 2016: Springs broke on both chairs - replacement springs sent to local store and they repaired. They also replaced several fasteners that had popped out. 2017: Arm fell off one chair. After approval from Rustic Log Furniture due to fasteners popping out- the local store fixed it. 2022: Broken springs again - at this point the local store had shut down. I contacted Rustic Log Furniture through numerous emails (explaining my problem and providing pictures of the issues based on their request). I was finally contacted by someone who seemed to have authority. He said it was the local store's responsibility - although they had given permission and worked with the store on the previous issue. He asked me what I wanted from his company and I said my chair fixed. I provided the name and number of a local repair person to assist him with getting it fixed (we live in a small rural community). His response "I will reach out to Saul and work with him to see what we need to do in order to repair it." He did contact Saul after an additional request to follow through. He sent Saul the springs and he and Saul decided on $225 for transportation of the chair to and from Saul's shop and the repair. I was not informed of the cost and didn't inquire since I assume (like in the previous instances) that their lifetime warranty covered it. Paying Saul was never mentioned to me and Saul was under the impression that Rustic Log Furniture would be paying him. Several weeks after Saul fixed the chair, he contacted me to say that Rustic Log Furniture was not going to pay him. Rustic Log Furniture told Saul that I should pay him. Several email messages with Rustic Log Furniture occurred and he was very nasty and refused to pay Saul. He said the warranty didn't cover the springs or hardware (even though they covered the parts in 2016 and 2017). They have no warranty information for the customer on their web site (they just keep saying their warranty is with the local store). L shaped desk (quantity 1) 2012-current: Constant problems with drawers (total 7 - different ones at different times) refusing to stay closed. We resolved this ourselves using small magnets. Kitchen custom cabinet (quantity 1) 2012-current: Constant problems with the drawers (two) refusing to stay closed. We resolved this ourselves using small magnets. TV console (quantity 1) Cabinet doors (2) have rubbed since day 1. TV corner console (quantity 1) Cabinet doors (2) have rubbed since day 1. We also purchased the following pieces with no moving parts and have not had issues with them: End tables (quantity 2) Bar Stools (quantity 2) Large standing bookcase (quantity 1)

Here's all the irritatin' s*** about this place: - parking... nobody from the onslaught of Subarus to the ginormous lifted pickup trucks knows how to park between the lines - per usual Walmart fashion, choosing a decently rolling cart is a chore - getting assistance from an employee is less likely than your contracting the plaque - most things my cowboy needs or desires they are out of or in extremely limited supply. Go figure. - loser teenage girls walking around scoffing because "they can't steal something when it's behind the glass." - 9 times out of 10 no one is working the counter in the sporting goods section PROS + lowest prices in town + we love the Asian guy who was working the pharmacy side exit on Father's Day 2023... where is he? Such a nice man.

The employee comes to me after I had started scanning my groceries and said it's 15 items like the sign says. I said sorry I didn't see the sign and said since I've started can I finish she rolled her eyes and shrugged her shoulders then when I got to 15 items it stopped letting me scan until she came over to scan her badge. She could have handled that so differently! If she would have said to me when I was starting"I'm sorry but it will only let you scan 15 items" I would have said ok and went to another checkout. I just counted my items and checked out 2 more times and finished my scanning. There is a really nice grocery store up the street that I will spend my next 300.00 for groceries!

I will admit I was slightly nervous going off of inspiration photos I had, but the end result is absolutely stunning! This furniture is not only made in the USA, it's built by hand by skilled craftsmen and is made to last for generations, all at a very reasonable cost. Delivery folks were wonderful! Oh, and I did everything by phone/email as I live a couple hours away. Highly recommend this niche furniture store for custom, quality built furniture! We will most definitely buy from Merle again!

I ordered a Turkey and Swiss with various veggies on wheat bread. It was one of the best sandwiches I ever ate from a deli. They have very friendly Amish or Mennonite staff that will make your sandwich and help you check out when paying for your sandwich or market items. I had an opportunity to browse the market while waiting for my sandwich to be made. They sell various items that are shipped in from other Amish or Mennonite communities. I was impressed seeing some organic and other healthy items as well. The cinnamon rolls and other pastries looked good. They're displayed at the front of the store. This place is definitely a lunch option during your visit to Westcliffe. Check them out if you're in town and browse the furniture store as well. I would love to return here for my next visit to Westcliffe!
