He's funny and helpful and more importantly he's very receptive to you as a customer/patient. He won't let you walk out of there feeling confused or unsure. He wants you to be happy and comfortable. The office's staff is fun, happy and kind. I really appreciate how they talk with you like a friend rather than a customer. Everyone is top notch. I'm trying contacts again for the second time. The first time I had a horrible experience with a careless optometrist that didn't explain things very well. This time, however, with Dr Atteberry's help, guidance and patience everything worked out great! I left feeling confident and sure of my decision. I have no regrets! Give Dr Atteberry a try. The staff are extremely pleasant, offering me a coffee or cocoa as soon as I came into the office. Then they answered a question or two I had about the way glasses fit. And at the end of the appointment one of the staff spent a lot of time with me looking through the glasses I was interested in buying. Dr. Jill Dorsey is very patient and easy to talk to; she also talked about several different directions I could go to with eye care: cataract surgery now , two months from now, or later in the year. Unlike other optometrist in town, he schedules a ton of time to ensure all eye health is addressed, so you do not feel at all rushed when working with him. His office staff is great. I have not purchased glasses or contacts from him yet, but he has a nice selection of reasonably priced frames and accepts insurance, so unless there is some miracle and I don't have to wear glasses, then I will be patronizing his glasses store soon.

I went through 6 different contacts before I found one that stayed in and worked well. I didn't get charged except for the initial contact lens prescription, even though I came in for several follow-up visits and used up a lot of his sample contacts. I'm also prone to eye infections for some reason, and Dr. Wilmes got me in and fixed up with no problems.

Also, unless your wallet allows otherwise, your only 'budget friendly frames' are Tom Ford or Oakley. You may walk out with samples and a coupon, you may also be offered $250 rebate via virtual visa if you order a 12 month supply of disposable contacts, only a total of $700+ out of pocket (if insurance shells out $150) and have 'single vision' no biggie. My bill was $136.20 and I didn't even purchase frames nor contacts, not even offered/given a copy of my updated prescription. I sent an email requesting an itemized receipt as well as the prescription to the address that sent a screenshot of my 6 month supply quote, we'll see if I get a reply. I wish they had a patient portal because the website is too finicky to submit a 'Contact Us' form.
