It turned out I had another medical condition that I literally could've died from if I had not gone and gotten a second opinion from another doctor that actually listened to me. 4. I saw a specialist that told me my symptoms had nothing to do with my thyroid even though I do have a slight autoimmune issue. 5. Go to a doctor who actually looks at all options for diagnosis and don't be afraid to ask questions or get another opinion.

    After several questionable issues with this doctor, our assessment of him drilled down to one…read moreinexcusable matter: Following a probable diagnosis of cancer, Dr Wu waited 5 days to inform patient of results, and then claimed to have absolutely NO ONE to refer patient to for further diagnosis and treatment. 3-4 times during that appt he stated he knew someone but she is no longer in the area. Unforgiveable deficiency by a practicing physician, particularly in a large metro area. He left us fumbling and guessing as to what specialty and which doctor to go to. He claims to have been in our area for almost 3 years and to be affiliated with a major hospital network in our metro area; so why didn't he pick up the phone among colleagues from 3 years and/or someone in that major hospital network and get the help that was needed for a patient?
