The best part of this experience was after that, we again were trying to get my grandma to close her mouth so the stopper could stay in. The doctor proceeded to yell and was like "tell her to close her mouth" and I asked "I am, please be patient with her, she's an elderly." This really made him mad and he proceeds to yell at me and states that he doesn't have time to wait for her to close her mouth. He has a flight to catch in four hours and he says that I'm rude for asking him to be patient when he has been. Then continues to say that if it were someone else doing this surgery, they would tell the patient to leave. He continues to belittle me and says "you don't have as much experience as me with older people". Who says that to a patients family member? As a student studying to be in healthcare and a CNA at a hospital who works at a geriatric unit, I am appalled to see a grown man act like that towards a patient and a patients family member who was trying to help him by translating. This is not what a professional doctor acts like, but a child. Despite having no prior connection to me, she took it upon herself to track down my contact information and personally send me a copy of the X-ray along with a detailed note. This kind of initiative is rare and deserves recognition. By catching this issue early and communicating it promptly, Dr. Kim prevented what could have become a much more serious problem -- left unaddressed, the defect could have led to decay, and ultimately a far more complex and costly intervention for our shared patient. Instead, the issue was caught in time and resolved simply. Dr. Kim's actions reflect exactly what patient-centered care looks like: thorough, communicative, and genuinely invested in outcomes beyond the walls of her own practice. When I arrived today, I was told I'd be seeing a different hygienist. I explained that I specifically booked with Lilli three months in advance for that exact reason. The receptionist, a blonde, middle-aged woman, was dismissive and unapologetic, even after I made it clear I had traveled for this appointment. Instead of taking ownership, she suggested I may have made a mistake, which was both incorrect and inappropriate. There was no effort to accommodate the situation or correct it. When I asked to speak with Dr. Odinsky, she refused and repeatedly spoke over me until I had to ask her to stop and listen. This isn't about a scheduling error, those happen. It's about how it was handled. There was no accountability, no attempt to resolve the issue, and no basic level of professionalism. This would not have happened under Dr. Singer's ownership. The difference in how patients are treated is noticeable and extremely disappointing.

He examined a tooth that was previously diagnosed by another practice as an abscess in a tooth that was crowned and had a root canal in previously. He more than likely saved my tooth by detecting the source of my discomfort. It was an adjacent tooth, which had an Enamel-Dentine fracture in it. Dr. Osdinsky will follow-up with additional diagnostic tools to rule out missing anything on the likely previously misdiagnosed root canal tooth, which is the prudent thing to do, but has in the meantime treated the fractured tooth with Hydroxyapetite and Ozone treatment, to help with the tooth remineralization and fight back any potential anaerobic infection with minimal disturbance to the health of my oral biome. Knowing what I know now about oral health and its implications and impact on very serious general ailments elsewhere in the body, having a knowledgeable dentist who doesn't prescribe broad-spectrum antibiotics willy-nilly but instead treats things responsibly. Dr. Odinsky's bedside manners are excellent and he is very pleasant to interact with. The staff is equally friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.
