I understand an apology but they have poor communication with appointments and transferring files over. The doctors don't expect new patients for those who want a specific doctor. But to know I won't be coming here for physicals. I think I take my business elsewhere. I am a new patient here. First visit was toasty. My nurse was so nice and asked so many good questions. My new doctor (Pulliam) kicks serious butt. These doctors are very thorough and professional, they take your concerns seriously and at the same time give you real advice to help live your life. I and my family had been using family healthcare for many years (25). Most recently Dr Lam after Dr Williams retired a few years ago. While Dr Lam has always been the same his staff is a little on and off with follow up, the online portal is difficult and messy to use and records are, well I feel could be better. I go to several specialist and there has to be a way for all to be on the same page besides me explaining what the others have done? Overall they are convenient, but sometimes I wander. Been going to this doctors office for maybe 5 years. I go to the same doctor each time he does a great job. If your doctor appointments are to far out you may try another one they have plenty of doctors in this group. I have had to wait awhile just for a physical. But they have a sick call in the morning to get in faster if you are sick. I like how you have everything here the lab for blood draw and a x-ray machine. That way you do not have to go somewhere else. The building is easy to get into plenty of parking. You can do all the check-in on line so it goes faster. The front desk people change a lot and some are better than others. As for the nurses some are friendly some just go through the motions. My doctor has always been very nice and listens and keep track of your past visits. read more

Booked an appointment online for 6:00 PM, and website allowed me to book the appointment for a "wellness exam" or physical. Just to get told they only do acute visits after hours and that I would have to follow up with a primary care doctor. When this is my first time coming here so that was kind of the point. But nope the nurse who took me in just look at me like as if I was stupid, and just kinda shrugged her shoulders at me and just said "follow up with your primary care doctor". She had short grayish hair. I have a pretty busy schedule and this was one of the rare times that I actually took the time for myself to get myself checked out to get some issues address overall. But didn't know that I had to have COVID or a UTI in order for my appointment to be "important". Lady at the front desk just said "sorry" and that was it. Utterly ridiculous. read more

I really like the place. I see Doctor Ingles. I recommend him. He is respectful, Kind, and helpful, and always guides me in the direction I need to go if I need a specialist. I have an emergency a couple of times and wasn't able to see him, so I ask to see Doctor Lam. He is another really caring doctor. I recommend both doctors for your health care. Anyway, What I really like is that today I am seeing Doctor Ingles, he says I need to see a podiatrist, and they take care of finding a doctor where my insurance is excepted and trust my insurance is the worst insurance I ever had. They help me find the extra care I need. I am an older man, and I have been around, this place the doctors are awesome. OH yea another great feature, they have after hours care Monday thru Friday, 6 till 10 pm. I used it just last week. read more

This office clearly does not care about it's patients. When my own doctor moved practices, I spoke to a representative who told me that I would still be able to get necessary prescriptions filled until I could get an appointment with a doctor. When my appointment "was never made" although I made one, I called back a couple weeks later needing yet another necessary medication refilled. The representative was rude and unhelpful, and told me the complete opposite of what I was told before. So, this office decided to never contact or call me back with information on how to get a necessary prescription, and now I, the patient will have to suffer the consequences of the office's own mishaldnings. Their billing dept said it was because he was new patient, so there is an "extra charge" for being a new patient. So we are being penalized for being new? Very disappointed in the Fielder Rd location. So the first thing to happen was an issue with their online portal. We filled out everything to the point where it said continue if you're a tele med patient which we weren't so we stopped. Day of appointment they say oh you're supposed to ignore that and continue so now we're trying to complete in car (we were 10 minutes early). On this same call I informed them that my husband suffers from short term memory issues and that I'm his caregiver and would need to come in. I was informed it would have to be cleared by doctors nurse. I said ok, please let me know. They call roughly 5 minutes later about form so I tell them no we're not finished here's where I'm at can you tell me how much more there is. They have no idea, but say they'll call back in 5 minutes I say ok and before you get off do you have an answer about me coming in since I'm my husbands caregiver. The reply was not yet he may have to come in and then you afterwards if the nurse approves. So I say ok, please let me know. 5 minutes go by they call me and still not finished with form and lady says he comes in now or we cancel appointment. We can help him fill out the form (mind you he has a brain injury). I tell them if he doesn't know the answer he's going to want me and they say they'll deal with it to send him in. So now he's in a room with a nurse who asks about his meds and sure enough he tells her I can go get my wife she would know. She tells him that's ok we're good. They did not let me come in so therefore they don't know about his meds. He also didn't remember to have them look at his finger or get a referral to a podiatrist because he has "memory" issues. They were also put out when I called an asked for a receipt. The lady's reply we don't give one unless they ask for one, hello brain issues! Just unbelievable that a caregiver can't go into an appointment.!!! read more

Scheduling an appointment is an absolute nightmare. I requested to see doctor and was forced to schedule a virtual appointment even though I explained that would not work and the doctor would need to see me. I attended the virtual appt. and was told I needed to be seen in person. I complete waist of my time. I attempted to schedule a follow up appointment and met the same resistance. I don't understand why the people who schedule feel the need to know every detail about why I want to see doctor and try to force me to make a virtual appointment. It was obvious that I was becoming frustrated and the scheduler continued to ask questions about being seen virtually. i wish there was a way to schedule an appointment without having to speak with people who are upsetting and unhelpful. I would never see Dr. Wasson again after his response to many of my questions was "ask Dr. Ingle" during an aftercare visit when I had paid to be seen by him instead of Dr. Ingle. He also asked, "Do you even know what that is?" after mentioning a common medical term (A1C). Dr. Ingle, on the other hand, has been great! He has taken the time to talk to me, and he was extremely patient during an appointment where I was pretty anxious. Have gone to this office since I was a teenager and in the last 5 years, the decline has been awful. Most of the lab techs are extremely unprofessional and rude. You are working in healthcare, with people dealing with medical issues and you aren't kind or compassionate? The woman with short and curly hair came out and said "did you have an appt?" I said "no, my dr didn't require one and told me to come by for lab work" I have it in a message from my dr in the portal that I didn't need an appointment and I could just come in any time bc she put the order in. She then raised her voice at me in front of everyone and cocked her head at me and said "no, you have to have an appointment, we aren't doing your labs without one" While pointing up at the front desk even though my dr said I didn't and had submitted the lab order. I went to the front desk and they said it was a new policy but my Dr obviously isn't aware if she told me I didn't need an appt so it's not my fault that there isn't clear communication across the boarf in this office. The woman in the lab was combative and rude and I am done with this place. They hire the most rude and entitled people in the lab who chose to work in this profession and then have the audacity to be rude. She should not be working with the public. read more

Dreadful experience. I have been going to my PCP, SW Arlington location for over 20 years. The care has really gone downhill. My PCP not available for same-day appointment. I had the unfortunate circumstance fo being seen by Dr. Karakourtis. What should have been an easy diagnosis, resolved by an actual prescription of antibiotics, became a drawn-out adventure in futility and anxiety. While the doctor was in the exam room, he stated he electronically sent my prescription for oral and topical antibiotics to my pharmacy. I confirmed location and prescription. A patient tech/ medical assistant (clearly not a nurse or anyone with infection control training) was directed to dress my open wound. It was not a sterile environment, additionally, the wrapped bandage fell off after three steps. Went to confirmed pharmacy to pick up prescriptions. Of course, not there. Never sent. I had to call doctor, they had to sent over prescription again. When I arrived for the second time, only the topical ointment was ordered. Yet another call to doctor ensued, after speaking with various employees, they would ask the doctor. Finally, the drug store called and stated the oral antibiotic was ready. So yes, that is THREE trips to drug store! Spoke to the patient tech- she pled ignorance. Not one apology! To add insult to injury, I was emailed a patient feedback survey. Of course, the 10 questions are insufficient to adequately address my horrible experience, a phone number to contact for further feedback was listed. THE PHONE NUMBER goes to the billing department! When I called they had no idea. I requested to speak with Administration. I received the voicemail of the assistant, to the CEO. I left a message for a prompt returned call. Nothing!!!! read more

This is not about the physicians I have always had excellent care and been with them more than 20 years, but more about Business Practices. I recently tried to make an appointment, which I was denied, yep denied medical services, over an outstanding balance from 11/2016, as you can see I don't go to the Dr. often, when I questioned the Bill, I was told it had been turned over to collections in 4/2017, still surprised I had a bill I did not know about and no one was actively pursuing, yet three different times I was denied a medical appointment, until this revelation, I have never had outstanding balances, have a credit score of just over 800 ( so clearly I do no paid my obligations). Brett at the actual Dr. office not the main billing office basically said you have an outstanding debt we should dismiss you as a patient and then Hung up on me. read more

The staff is all very helpful and cheery here, even when they are packed and shorthanded. The guys and girls in the front are very helpful and warm. Dr. Andrews is fantastic. She takes her time and listens when shes in the exam room with you. Its usually pretty easy to get in to see someone if you aren't feeling well. If you cant get in they have an after hours clinic but it gets very crowded very quickly. read more

My kids and I were referred to this office a year ago and I could not be happier. We were previously military, meaning we moved a lot and have seen several doctors. This has 100% been my favorite and we have to visit often, given my son is on a medication that needs very regular visits. We were patients of Dr. Lam and thought he was great. Now, he's seeing more urgent care patients and less available. We're now seeing Dr. Wesson and have had a great experience with him as well. The Admin and nurses have also been exceptional. I'd recommend this office to anyone. read more

Dr. Michael Mattingly, to you and your staff, you should be ASHAMED of yourselves. My mother put her trust and faith in you and you all blew it. You did not treat my mother, you were a paper pusher just writing RX's. You should have done so many things differently, my mind is BLOWN at the steps that were NOT taken in her care plan and how you just kept prescribing different medications instead of figuring out other medical interventions or actually running the correct test to rule things out or monitor current issues or IDK referring her to a specialist if after 3 weeks of you filling her full of pills didn't work. This is negligence, this is disgusting, and this is why people don't trust healthcare providers. I am blessed that I have the opportunity to work with amazing doctors and nurses and all different medical staff members all over Texas you are not one of them. read more

This my family's doctor (sorry, couldn't think of a better opener) . Been going here since we moved to South Arlington 12 years ago. I've gone here for bacterial infections, colds, anxiety issues, shots, and just recently a bad allergic reaction to a bee sting back in April last year (during their after-hours service, which was pretty quick by the way). Gotta admit though, sometimes the waiting room smells like coffee grounds and pooh-pooh because there is a bathroom next to the front desk. My favorite doctor here would have to be Dr. Ingle. He has a really cool room with palm tree wallpaper and it is very soothing. He has good bedside manner and is funny. I have mild claustrophobia and some of the rooms do not have windows...this has not been big enough of an issue yet for me but just letting you folk know in case you suffer from it, maybe you could request a room with windows. read more

Dr Pulliam is the worst doctor. He only cares about the money and not his patient. My mom has been his patient for the past 4 years. He talks down to her and doesn't listen to what she says. Today was the last straw. I had to move every schedule around to get my mom to her appointment only to arrive and find out that they have cancelled it on Wednesday. This is after we confirmed 3 times that we would be there. I am sure he cancelled it when he learned that I had requested a doctor change. Anyone who has a negative comment about this physicians group might need to look into a mirror. Having worked with doctors for over thirty years, I know a good one from a bad one AND the strict guidelines they follow. Because of FHCATX doctors and their attention to detail, I was referred to a specialist who diagnosed a more serious issue. All this from just an interpretation of my lab work. I trust Dr. Wasson with my entire physical well-being. I'm not going anywhere else! As for the office staff......they are top notch and well trained in their strict regulations as well. If I could give no stars they would receive it!! I have been a patient for almost a year. I have private insurance and recently acquired Medicare. Without my knowledge. I had been sick for a couple of weeks. I was unable to get a regular appointment so I opted to go to the after hours walk in clinic. Upon check in I was told in a VERY SNOTTY VOICE we don't take Medicare patients. You can not be seen here. If we see you we will be fined 10K and now we will need to refund the insurance company for all of your visits therefore we will not be paid for your visits. Seriously?! I have been a patient for almost a year! So my only option was to go to the emergency room which I was told I needed to be admitted. A few days later the office manager calls me and tells me they can see me as a charity case. I was then told I was being dropped as a patient because I missed 4 appointments which I had not. When I confronted the lady on the phone. She very quickly changed her story and said that the head of the office would be calling. The CEO assistant called me back to find out what happened told her exactly what happened she said she would get back to me. She calls me back and stated the Dr would like to keep our family on as patients. Why would I stay where my money is good when I come for regular check ups but when I/we NEED something we are abandoned? NO THANK YOU IM A PERSON WHO HAS FOUND A DR WHO REALLY DOES CARE. read more

I made an appointment and still had to wait for almost 2 hours to see the doctor. I gave one of the receptionists my new insurance card. She said she will verify it and that I would pay after my visit. I sat there for almost 2 hours. During this time I came up to the desk twice making sure she had verified my insurance and that there was no problem with it. The receptionist said everything is good and it's been verified. When I finally saw the doctor and was about to pay, that receptionist was long gone. Another person came up and said my ticket says that my insurance couldn't be verified because my insurance online system was down. ????!!!!!! Seriously, they could not inform me that while I was sitting there waiting? She said she'll bill the insurance again tomorrow and then bill me the difference. The doctors here are nice but the receptionists and their customer service here are pathetic. They don't seem to care much. read more

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Wasson at SW Arlington and myself to Dr. Caine at Randol Mill, since 1995 and we love them, that is why we have not changed Doctors since moving to Hillsboro, TX. Both of them are to the point, not wish washy, trying to get you to like them. Your health is their major concern, they are not concerned with your opinions on the way it should be to suit you. Personally I like that, it is the reason I have total confidence in what they tell me. If you want a doc that is going to humor you into believing you are smarter than them, or that your personal Dr. Google is, I would go elsewhere. read more

I'm giving this place one star because of my overall experience with them. I was looking for a new PCP and saw that Dr. Karakourtis was in network with my insurance. After calling the office to verify that I was (which I was told that he was in network) i made an appt. The day of my appointment I went through the whole check in process of them getting copies of my ID and insurance cards. I had the appt with Dr. K and he was nice enough I guess I've had better doctors who were much more personable and knowledgeable than him but he was ok. After the appt I went to check out and asked reception if I had a copay or any dues that were owed and they responded by saying everything was covered. Maybe about a month later I received a bill in the mail for $350 for services rendered! Insurance covered none of it. I called and spoke with my insurance and they told me I had to be in a more specific network than what is shown BUT shouldn't the folks at the doctors office have known that when they checked my insurance?? I spoke with the office manager Madonna who more or less blamed Obamacare and the Affordable Healthcare Act for the misunderstanding. Stating that even when they check insurance there's so many levels or tiers that they go through that it's not guaranteed that insurance will cover the visit smh. While I get people are having trouble with obamacare that was not the case here. Anyway just be advised to check you insurance before you go through with your appointment cause evidently they don't do a thorough enough job and you just might get stuck with a huge bill for half decent service. read more

Each person that has worked on my behalf has been outstanding, kind, and genuinely interested in my well being. I love Dr Patrick Kobett for being there for me when I broke my leg twice in the same year when I was 26 years old. He has been my Dr for 32 years and is sorely missed now that I am 49 and cannot see him due to my failure to force the front desk to take payment. "Insurance owes me", I should have know better than to believe idiot front desk clerks. I still have many years left to call you my Doc. Love you Doc! read more

Misty McKay, the med-Tech in Dr. Fawcett's office gave one of my daughters TWO immunizations that were not ordered and then, gave my other daughter a flu vaccine that was not ordered and then LIED about it. I was given falsified immunization records. I wrote a letter to FHCA and received a response in the form of a typed letter with one sentence "Please be advised that your concerns were reviewed and the appropriate action has been taken". I called the main office and spoke with Allison Mayhew's (CEO) assistant, Hope Purvis who told me that the "CEO does not talk to patients" when I asked to speak to someone who had a clue about my complaint. Please be aware that the "nurses" are NOT nurses but medical technicians who are not licensed by the state of Texas and the tech still works for Dr. Fawcett. Family Healthcare Associates showed absolutely no compassion for my situation. This is a business that has shown no concern that two of their patients were harmed by a dishonest and incompetent employee. read more

Don't ever go here!!!!!!!! I scheduled an appointment for the first time with this facility a month ago for a common ailment with Dr. Karakourtis. First off his his bedside manner left a lot to be desired. He was very negative when he was diagnosing me even though I was telling him I had seen improvements in my condition over the the last several days. He dismissed everything I said and did not listen to me at all. To top it all off he was researching my ailment online while I was with him. Even commenting to himself as he read "Oh I didn't know blank was a side effect". Against my better judgement I scheduled a follow up appointment for two weeks later. The receptionist gave me an appointment reminder for 10/21. On 10/21 at 9:00 in the morning I called to cancel my afternoon appointment. The automated system prompted me to leave a message for any canceled appointments, rather than speak with a live person (this call was placed during their normal business hours). I left a message with my name, date, time of the appointment, and doctor's name. Today (10/29) I received a letter in the mail stating "Family HealthCare Associates has provided me and my family health care services. It has come to their attention on several occasions I have made appointments and have neither called nor showed up. As a courtesy to fellow patients and to them I need to cancel my appointments in a timely fashion". I immediately called Family HeathCare to find out what was going on. The receptionist advised me that I missed my appointment on the 28th. I explained to her I did not have an appointment scheduled the 28th but I did have one the 21st. I told her I had called and canceled it through their automated system. The rep then told me no my appointment was the 28th. I advised her I had the appointment reminder I was given by them and it shows the 21st. She told me it was wrong and all their letters are computer generated. I advised her they should reword their letters as they are very misleading. When I came in earlier this month it was my first appointment and I've never had family go to their facility, nor have I missed "several" appointments with them. All she said was okay. Thank you, have a nice day, and good bye. Not once did she apologize or sound the least bit sincere with her explanation. Obviously this facility does exhibit any regard for their patients. There are other doctors in the area that treat their patients with care. Bottom line, if you want quality care don't go here. read more

This is a review for Dr. Andrews. First off her nurse is very rude to us. Then she walked out and when dr. Andrews came in the first thing she told us was and i quote " I don't appreciate you all talking about my staff, I won't tolerate that." Among other things she told us that she made me literally cry and I'm a very tuff woman. So after the visit i spoke to the so called manager and she was no help. Later we received a letter that they didn't want and wouldn't be taking care of us. They didn't explain why or anything. When I called the manager many times, they kept giving me the runaround and just sending me to her voice-mail. All i wanted was an explanation, eveb the front receptionist apologized to me and said "I don't know why they're doing this to you I'm sorry." I just stopped trying because they returned my phone calls. This doctor, staff and manager are very unprofessional, disrespectful, rude and obviously don't care for their patients. I also work in the medical field and have never treated a patient the way they have and never will. If I could I would give no stars at all. Please don't go with this doctor if you want good care and some compassion at least. read more

I had my first visit with Dr. Nunez today. From the moment I walked in, I was treated as if they'd known me forever. They are warm, friendly and very respectful. The entire staff actually listens. They were actually concerned about me and my well being, not just another patient to be seen. This practice is an example for others to follow. Cheerfulness and a smile go a long way, but being able to be professional at the same time is a rare commodity. read more
