YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. Bob, the old owner of this shop, has retired. DO NOT. I repeat. DO NOT take your car here to the new owner Frank. He is a con artist and a scammer. I dropped my car off on Monday to be diagnosed for ABS, 4WD! and traction lights. I typically bring my car to Jeep but with a wait time of over a week I was calling around to see who could look at the car that day so I can get back to work. I dropped it off by 9 a.m., possibly sooner. By 4 p.m., an hour before the shop closes, no word, so I called. I was told it wasn't going to be able to be looked at. I was disappointed that no one contacted me but gave them the benefit of the doubt. When I was told it would be looked at first thing Tuesday I waited until 1 p.m. to check in, since no one was checking in with me. I was told it just went up on the lift and I'd get a call in an hour. 2 p.m., 3 p.m. roll by, and I call at 3:45 to be told they're still not done diagnosing. I voiced my disappointment, calmly, with the timeline to this point. I get a call 15 minutes before the shop closes that I need wheel hubs and bearings, and ABS sensors in the back. A $1,000 job. It was just the right side I needed, come to find out, but I wasn't even told that. Just told in the back. I understand it's good to do things in pairs, but to not even be told that was suspect in itself. I was already uneasy at this point, but already missed out on two days of work, going to be three now because it's the end of the work day, so I call the next morning to OK the work so I can get back on the road. But before I do, I ensure it can be done that day, because I couldn't afford to miss another day and what I thought would be a one-to-two-day job has now already been three. I was told the parts were in stock and it could be done Wednesday. Again, 4 p.m. rolls by with no word. No word they got the parts, that work has begun, so I call. I'm told my car is on the lift and they're wrapping up, that it would be done by 5 p.m. IF NOT the morning. I respond that the owner, Frank, who told me the diagnosis and who I called to OK the work said it would be done that day. So the person I spoke to at the shop said OK if you were told today then it'll be done today. 5 p.m. and no call. I give the benefit of the doubt that maybe they're staying an extra few minutes to wrap things up. Still, no one reaches out. The shop opens at 8 a.m. and by 9 a.m. Wednesday morning I still had not been contacted. Again, I call. Frank responds he was "just about to call me" and said my lights are still on after all the work was done. I'm upset, unsure of what to do as he tells me an electrical technician would need to come by to check out my ABS module. I tell him I'll call him back after voicing my frustrations again over missing now another day of work. He calls me back, almost right away, to tell me it's my battery that's the issue and I'm good to go. So, I got to the shop and three different times during talking and trying to ensure that this is, in fact, the problem and that I'll be good to do after, different prices for the work that's been done. He never gave me an actual price over the phone, saying all he had was an estimate. As I was talking with him, a couple comes in and says the same thing about their price! Was told $600 and get there and it's $750. He negotiated with them, but then said he wouldn't with me. Eventually, we settled on him replacing the battery for the lack of communication. I also needed an air filter and an oil change. I went and got a filter, replaced it, and, the next day, now Friday, today, dropped it off for the day for an oil change because I have a package there. Wouldn't you believe it, all three lights are still on. I contacted Frank with no response. This guys is a scammer. He ensured me that the battery was the issue. I paid him for the parts he told me needed to be replaced and that were supposedly the source of my problem, only to be out $1,000 and a week's worth of work and back at square one. Save yourself the time, money, stress, headaches and lies. Avoid like the plague. read more
