Allen was quick to respond to my call to fix my leaky kitchen sink. He discovered my garbage disposal was cracked, and was prepared with a brand-new disposal in his truck, which he installed within 15 minutes for a reasonable price. My leaky sink is no longer an issue. Thanks, Allen. read more

Dishonest and failed to finish the job. Had to hire another plumber. Was full of excuses and lies.

Really great customer support. As well as fixing the root of the problem which was flooding in my basement. They offered a solution which I am very happy with. There's been 2 storms since the job and the water has stayed out of my basement. Highly recommend. read more

Our drains were all clogged and Allen came out immediately and cleared them. He also offered a lot of helpful advice. This is the place if you're having plumbing issues in Baltimore! read more

Quoted $1100 to install a 50 gallon water heater that I would supply and told it would take two days for them to come. Called a master plumber who installed for under $400. If you want to be price gouged go with these guys. $1100 for a 30-60 min job is ridiculous. read more

AAB Drain Cleaning - Plumbing Near Me

Allen was amazing!!! He messaged me back through the Yelp app and was able to assess things immediately after I sent him a photo of the leaking pipe. He called me, minutes later, and was able to find the part and get to my house within a hour. This was all on Sunday by the way. Allen went right to work and had the new part in within the hour and did an amazing job. We are very thankful to Allen for his hustle and hard work to put our minds at ease and not worry about the leak in our basement. Thank you Allen! read more

Had 3 toilets replaced and a new disposal put in. The price was fair, he was responsive, and did a good job. Not much more you can ask for in a contractor. Would use them again for future work. read more

Allen was amazing today and helped my elderly mother more than he'll ever know. He began with fixing a toilet that would not flush and the tank wouldn't fill up in a reasonable time. He knew right away what was the problem was and fixed it quickly. While not part of the reason for his visit, I ask him to check out a sink that was clogged. Without hesitation, he was willing to take care of the matter that turned out to be a larger job then expected. He eventually fixed the clogged sink of many years and my mother was so pleased to be able to use the sink like normal. We appreciate Allen's promptness, sane day service, caring nature and politeness to please the customer. Definitely will hire Allen again and refer him to anyone who ever ask us for a plumber. read more

Allen did an excellent job replacing our backflow preventer. He even took off his shoes in our house without being asked. His pricing is very fair and he was on time and finished the job promptly. I highly recommend Allen for any of your plumbing needs. read more

Very fair pricing, easy to contact, and explained what he did in a clear way to someone who has no clue about plumbing. He was able to come the day I called him too which was very helpful. I would recommend him and use him again in the future. read more

I can't thank Allen enough! Our garbage disposal was broken but suddenly began leaking late last night. I immediately hopped on Yelp and found Allen, who was fast, responsive, easy to work with. He came out today, took a look and told us we needed a new disposal. We originally scheduled the installation for tomorrow, but he found a hardware store just minutes away and offered to come back today and get it done. I'm extremely happy with the quick, efficient, and friendly service. Allen is absolutely our new go-to plumber! read more

Super fast response time & service!! Great price and knowledgeable about what he's done.

Very impressed with Allen. Polite, knowledgeable and very respectful. He took his time with the repair and double checked his work. Very reasonable with the pricing. He provided an approximate time and then texted when he was on his way. We will call him with any future plumbing needs. read more

I hired AAB Drain Cleaning / Allen to unclog a bathtub drain after Drano failed and one of those plastic drain cleaners broke in two. Short version: If you live near the business and are able to schedule in the morning, or you need to go with the least expensive option, go with AAB. Otherwise, you might want to stay away. Long version: The good: - The price was great. Another company I talked to wanted more than TWICE what I ended up paying Allen after his discount. - Allen was very clean. He took his shoes off before coming in (without my asking to) and did a fantastic job cleaning the tub afterwards, which is impressive considering all the filth he got out. - He did a great job unclogging it. It's been about a week since he came and the drain is still completely unclogged. It's even better than when I moved in. So why did I deduct two stars? - Scheduling was a nightmare! This is the main reason. He didn't even actually come until the third time I made an appointment with him (and he was still really late). - The first time he was supposed to come at 4:00 PM on a Thursday. I confirmed the time with a couple times. He said it might actually be within a 4:00 - 7:00 time window. At ~4:40 he lets me know he's running a little late, which is ok. Ultimately I call him at 7:20 and he asks if I can reschedule for the next day. We reschedule for 6:30. - At ~6:35 the next day I message him just to confirm that we're still on. He responds at ~8:05 saying he'll take off $50 if he can come between 8:00 and 9:00 AM the next morning. I honestly wanted to cancel since that was the second time he'd blown me off, but $50 off is a lot and it was already a great price. - At ~7:50 AM the next day (I figure since he's coming at 8:00 it's not too early to contact him) I send him a message to confirm again and he says he's on his way. I ask for an ETA and he says "about lunch time". So much for 8:00 - 9:00 AM. At about 10:45 he says he's on 495. Coming from Maryland it shouldn't take more than 45 minutes to get to my place once you're on 495 (I live in Tyson's Corner). An hour and 15 minutes later I message him and says he's finishing a job at an address that I *think* was in DC. So he decided to serve someone else first instead of sticking to the agreed upon time, which he himself proposed. - He finally arrived at my place at ~12:50 and once he actually got here did a great job. - His machine broke twice while he was doing the job and fixing it probably doubled the length of the visit. Not a biggie, though, since it was still probably done in less than an hour. - He offered me $50 off when he canceled the second time, but only did $25 off when I reminded him of the original price. It was still cheap, but he really should've just told me $25 in the first place. In all fairness I do live kind of far from him (about an hour drive) and the appointment times were a little late in the day. But if he had just said "Hey, you live kind of far away, can we do it earlier in the day?" it could've saved me the frustration of missing some work time and friday evening plans with friends for nothing. read more

I hired Allen to come by and replace an electric water heater and expansion tank at my house in Federal Hill. He arrived at the time he said he would and was excited to get to work. when we opened my basement hatch, my old water heater had been leaking for a few days and my basement was flooded about 3 feet high of water. He quickly jumped into the water with no hesitation and shut off everything. we quickly drove to home depot and we bought some pumps and PVC pipe to remove the water. He stayed positive the whole time and was reassuring that it would be okay. he helped me rig up pumps and we emptied the basement pretty swiftly. He came back later in the day to replace the water heater after it had all the water pumped out and he finished quickly and effectively. He is a real go-getter, get it done kinda guy! would recommend him. He also didnt take advantage of the situation financially . read more

Allen called near 0700 to ensure we were able to do the work on the same day. He was friendly, punctual, and honest. He spent 90 mins on the main line to clear it to the street and answered all our questions. We would recommend this company and use it again. read more

Allen helped to unclog our kitchen drain and did a great job. I would definitely recommend him.

The price was fair. The service was fast and good quality work was done. But I want to emphasize that this guy Allen knows how to protect your property and your interest as he showed it when he stood up for me and were honest giving the assessment abt the cause of damages. If you want an honorable honest man who can do the job, pick up ur phone and call Allen. read more

I had a plumbing company come out to investigate a leak coming through a light in my kitchen. We determined it was linked to a shower on the floor above. The company quoted me to cut a hole in the kitchen ceiling to diagnose the issue. I checked pricing with a few company including AAB, who came in more competitive. Allen from AAB came out to cut the hole, but before doing so figured out the leak was due to a small crack in the shower tile grout. I was able to patch up the crack myself saving me money and a huge mess. Definitely would recommend AAB! read more

Allen is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and well priced. We requested a quote online and in the same day he came out to fix our drain. I cannot recommend him enough. He is very polite, punctual and gets the job done. He made several suggestion on how to improve our current system to avoid issues in the future. read more

Thanks for coming very quick. What I did not like that I wrote the leak is coming at the floor level , underneath the toilet . He told me it sound like is the tank gasket or the line is back up. When he came automatically change the wax . Which is 75.00 and then he realized it was not the wax but charge me for that. I feel that I paid extra for something that was good. The problem ended up being a corroded knob inside the tank. So he said it was 150.00 , but I told him Why you change the wax if it wasn't that you should not charge me for the wax . He said because I told him it was the wax . That is not a good answer. If you are the expert , you are coming to find the problem please and not to assume the customer knows what it is. I put 3 because at least is fixed and is working good. read more

Excellent service, solved my problem in a fast, courteous and efficient way. Very professional and reasonable if not excellent price. I will definitely use his services again for those thing I either can't or don't want to get involved with myself and this is coming from a guy who hates dealing with plumbers because I usually feel like I'm getting the snake up MY drain. Don't hesitate to call this guy, he will give you quality service at a reasonable price. read more

I'm updating my prior review as it's become unclear whether I'd reuse these guys as my go-to plumber in my rental properties (as an out of state landlord). Prices are probably middle to high range. Reliability used to be generally good and quick but a few times now the ball was dropped on urgent matters, a few times with personal or vehicle issues as stated reasons. After a large sewer main replacement project I asked them to put soil put back the way it was before the trench was dug, due to some fines I was incurring from the city, and they pushed back and I never heard back. Moving on to use someone else for my plumbing needs now. read more

So I don't usually leave reviews but I need to put this out there, first I was told it would be $39 if he had to pull any tools of the truck which he didn't but charged me anyway. Second I felt rushed when I was told what the problem was because he was trying to go skydiving. If you had plans you didn't have to come especially after giving me a window for 11-1pm so I had to stay in the house all morning waiting not cool. read more

I've made a friend today. He was attentive, answered all of my questions and gave excellent service. I'll use his services anytime, anywhere and anyplace. read more

Working with AAB was such a good experience. Allen was professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly full of integrity and went above and beyond to make sure he fixed the problem completely and quickly. I have worked with a number of plumbing and HVAC technicians in Baltimore and I am always nervous about the quality of work I am going to get and the level of knowledge the person will have. Allen exceeded all expectations. If you are looking for a plumber stop here. You have found the best in the area. read more

Allen is not the right choice if you live Washington, DC (or likely anywhere outside of Baltimore). We set up an appointment for Friday at 12pm. At 12:15pm, he hadn't arrived or contacted me. I reached out and he texted that he had an emergency and needed to re-schedule. He offered to take money off the job and apologized. We rescheduled for Sunday at 10am. AGAIN, Allen did not show up and did not respond to any of my texts or calls to see where he was. I haven't heard from him since. Very frustrating experience. Don't waste your time like I did. read more

Allen did an amazing job!!!! We will definitely use him again. We had a leak come through our family room ceiling at 9pm on a Wednesday. We called Allen and he arrived in 30 minutes. Allen was not only unresponsive on multiple occasions, but charged an extremely unfair price. STAY AWAY.

Allen was great. He responded within minutes of my message and was able to come within a few hours, even on a Sunday. He was knowledgeable, professional, and personable. His price was in line with other quotes I received. I will absolutely call him the next time I need plumbing help. read more

Allen was a breath of fresh air. He came and was honest and knowledgeable. He did not try to charge us for things we did not need. He did not try to overcharge us for the work that he did. He was thorough and let us know what to look out for in the future if it begins to happen again. He also let us know ways to avoid the problem happening again. I highly recommend his services and we will be contacting him to complete next steps. read more

Allen is professional and knowledgeable. He claims to be the family guy with family prices and truly proved that today. We had a flooded crawl space and requested his services to figure out the cause. Allen quickly diagnosed the sump pump, went to get a replacement and changed it out in less than 2 hours on a holiday! He is transparent in pricing and very reasonable which is a blessing. He went even further to help us understand what we actually needed so that we could avoid being ripped off. Where most people would recognize naive home owners with little experience and take advantage, Allen ensured we were better informed to make decisions. A lesson that lasts a lifetime. Thank you so much! read more

Requested a plumber at 9 at night, and Allen called within 2 minutes to set an appointment time - even offering that same night. Allen was polite, responsive to all my questions, and most importantly, saw results.
