AC ran with a loud, rumbling noise. I contacted Michael Vining on Wed, 6/11. He had a service…read moreperson stop by the same day who advised we needed to replace the blower motor wheel. Michael called an hour or so later stating he would need to order the part for overnight shipping. He also suggested we replace the unit for $7500 because "they're not supposed to last 27 years." I declined and requested he order the part for repair. On Thursday, 6/12, I called Michael at which time he stated the order was submitted and should arrive between 10am-2pm that day. He, once again, attempted to upsell by telling me he was of the opinion a new unit should be ordered. Note: Only the blower motor wheel was diagnosed to be the issue. Less than $100 to replace! I did not hear from Michael further on Thursday. I contacted him on Friday, 6/13 and left a message for a status update on the repair. He called back hours later, stating the part did not arrive. That his deliveries run between 10am-2pm. I asked if he tracked the order and was told he did; the order showed as delivered but the actual delivery was not made. Michael did not offer to contact the delivery company or the supplier for clarification. Instead, he told me he would update me once he received it, hoping it would arrive on Friday. He stated it may not arrive until Saturday and if that was the case, he would let me know and send "one of my guys" over "right away" to finalize the repair. We did not hear from Michael further on Friday. I called him again Saturday (6/14) morning, leaving a message for a return call with status. He called hours later, leaving a message that the part was received but we would need to wait until Monday for the repair!!! Michael was well-informed during each call and voicemail left for him that I have a serious autoimmune disorder, to include a significant respiratory illness. Although this was shared with him, his tone and words during calls were dismissive in nature. It is doubtful the part was actually ordered on Wednesday. His primary goal was to upsell the replacement. When we talked on Thursday, he again emphasized the age of the furnace while ignoring the fact the furnace was fully operable, minus the blower motor wheel. I had a family member who specializes in HVAC (in another state) contact Michael. During the call, my relative was concerned the part was supposedly overnighted but not delivered. My relative offered to overnight it so Michael's guys could install it next-day. Michael was clearly offended as noticed in his tone. To tell a customer they will need to wait another 48+ hours for a repair shows lack of customer-focus and overall human decency. Either Michael did not order the part on Wednesday, the supplier was delayed in shipping the item and/or the delivery company was late in their scheduled delivery. Whatever the case, the customer should not bear the consequences of delay caused by another party. I returned Michael's call Saturday and left a message. I reiterated his assurance that if the part was received Saturday, he would have someone install it "right away." I expressed our home was 82* inside. I asked that he have someone repair the same day or some time on Sunday. I have not heard back from Michael. This is an absolute demonstration of failing to reflect the importance of customer satisfaction. The convenience of a weekend off should never outweigh the needs of a customer who has expressed dire need for A/C. As a business owner, it would help for Michael to establish a healthy balance between customer satisfaction and personal profit. The lack of honesty and integrity from Michael is hurtful and shameful. Earning the trust of the customer is key!

I have been using Mike Vinings since I bought my house in 2008…read more When I had my AC system replaced in 2011 they had the lowest price and same guarantee. My heating system was off this morning (Saturday) before Easter. I called Mike Vinings this morning and they had someone at the house in 90 minutes. Thank you
