I have to say our scheduled visit to AAA Tire & Auto Service on Black Friday proved to be better than I had hoped for but more costly although it was necessary. I had scheduled a purchase of four tires to be installed, alignment, balancing, the works. The price was very good, the need was great and the scheduling worked as well. With this time of Covid we have been distancing ourselves more than normal, I however was impressed with the social distancing and the sanitizing in the office lobby and waiting area at AAA South Toledo. As we were waiting for our tire installation, our service/sales technician Mark came up to me, which is never a good sign. Long story, short, the vehicle needed rear pads and rotors. I am a novice when it comes to autos and since my husband's stroke I am at a loss about anything auto related. I actually asked Mark if he could speak with my son who happens to live out of state since I trust his judgement. Mark was nice enough to speak with him and we ended up getting the brakes and the tires and I am perfectly pleased. I definitely will be recommending and going back to AAA and my compliments to Mark for taking the time to be helpful. An added perk is that since I am an AAA Member there was also another discount. They left me stranded on the side of the highway for 8 hours continuously telling me a driver would be on the way. My initial call was at 8:45pm. I called them every 2 hours for updates and was repeatedly told a tow was in the way. 3:30am I finally get a call back from the dispatcher telling me the 1 and only available tow truck driver refuses to comeout and that I need to find a ride home and to leave my keys in the car. So I find my own way home because their 24 hour roadside assistance is a complete lie. Then after being promised that 1 and only driver would tow my car at 8 am he finally got to it at 10:30. I don't know how it's legal for them to advertise 24 hour roadside assistance as I was completely ignored when I needed assistance for 13 of the 24 hours they supposedly operate. After a complaint to the BBB they wouldn't even refund me the price of my full membership. Very unfortunate to be a member of AAA for multiple years and the 1 time I need actual assistance I get told find my own way home we will get to you when it's a good time for our tow truck driver to do so be it the 13 hours later it doesn't matter to them. Never renewing my membership and highly recommend nobody become a new member. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. HORRIBLE CAR SERVICE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. They are crooks trying to make a quick buck off of honest people. WHY do people go to AAA to get their service done for a higher price? because of their beautifully filtered reviews and reputation. However, this couldn't be further from the truth... In short, I paid for a service, did not receive the service, brought my vehicle back for them to try again, they did not do what the promised me and they lead me to believe false information. Now, they wont give me a refund and I need to take it to a different mechanic shop to pay for the same thing. Additionally, my boyfriend went to this location a while back and paid THOUSANDS of DOLLARS to have his entire brake system replaced, GOT INTO A CRASH because of the brakes, went back to find out that the service hadn't been done fully or correctly, left again, had more brake issues, WENT BACK AGAIN and found out that the third job had not been completed fully or correctly either. Thank god the crash wasn't fatal. Throughout his process, the service records disappeared so he would have to pay again and they magically reappeared once corporate was involved. I gave them a second chance but its very clear that they self-serving and dishonest. Jamie Bish (front desk) lied to me about numerous things, hung up on me, and had horrible customer service once the truth came to light. The manager Matt, doesn't care that my service wasn't completed, doesn't want to give me a refund and didn't even offer to get me back in to try for a third time. Horrible customer service and horrible car service. I won't be going back. I would advise that you look elsewhere for your vehicle's service needs. read more

I have a Dodge Journey that began to make an alarming noise in the front left wheel, as this vehicle is covered under a Chrysler VIP Service Contract, I called the dealership I go to, Charlie's Dodge in Maumee I explained g to he sound was getting louder and I was really concerned and asked yo bring her in. I was told the earliest would be almost a full month, I explained about the contract and that I always use them and have purchased several cars there, but no luck, no interest . I contacted AAA on Airport Hwy, was able to schedule an appointment for the next business day, and fortunate it was, for the wheel bearing assembly was close to failure which could have caused a serious accident, AAA were efficient, courteous and reasonable in price, returning my care in about half a day, Jenna the service manager was friendly and informative, I will go back to them for the new set of tires I am planning to buy... read more

So it's always good to check groupon for an oil change. I came across one for AAA car care and I thought it would be a good one since AAA is a reputable company. Although, I would recommend seeing if your car insurance comes with roadside assistance before spending extra money on unnecessary membership. They were able to make an appointment for me on the day of my call, but when I came in the wait and service time was just over an hour. This seemed to defeat the purpose of an appointment. It really put quick service oil changes in the spotlight. I did appreciate the inspection checklist they gave me after the oil change. read more

What. The. Hell. I came here for an oil change. A simple oil change! After waiting for 2 HOURS to get my car back, the give me my car back WITHOUT WHEELS! Not bad as far as service goes. It's been hit or miss for me. I have been to 2 locations (Airport and Central), the Central location has yielded better results in general. My main gripe with the Airport location is that I took my 2010 Toyota for an oil change and was told after an hour of waiting that they couldn't remove the oil filter because the technician didn't have the correct tool to remove it. An auto tech didn't have the correct tool to remove an oil filter off one of the most common cars on the road? I found that to be somewhat off-putting. Other than that, no issues. read more

I have received consistently excellent and affordable auto repair at the AAA on Airport Road in Toledo. My car is a 2006 Honda Civic and when I go in for an oil change, I also receive a review of what repairs are needed for the future. Since I am on a fixed income, I am able to budget for these repairs. I get an additional discount because I am an AAA member and this really helped the day my car's starter died and I needed a tow. I have even purchased a protection policy through AAA so that the life of my car can be extended without wiping out my finances. I will be using this auto repair well into the future! read more

overpriced! The AAA tow driver suggested that my husband bring his car here after getting it towed. He agreed because we are fairly new in town and don't have much experience with any other car service in town. Unfortunately, they quoted way too much and there was not much he could do about it since the car was disabled. We called around and found Mason's auto repair down the street had good reviews and they quoted less than 1/2 of what AAA did. We paid extra to have my car towed a second time but it was well worth it. They fixed my husband's car beautifully and at less than half the cost. read more

My daughter lives in Toledo and had her car towed her when the steering was making noise , she called me saying that the repair estimate was $1200. , I told her to not have them do any more on the car and to put it outside . I then left work and drove the 2.5 hours to Toledo . I went and looked at the car and found that the return line from the power steering rack to the pump had came off and it had lost all the power steering fluid . I fixed it in there parking lot with a couple of hose clamps and new ps fluid . When I went in to ask them what they did they said " We first flushed out the power steering system " to that I replied "how could you flush out the ps system when the hose was off ? " , They had no answer . Well they still charged me for their "diagnosing". I have been a professional auto mechanic for 40 years and have seen other shops try and pull these things on people thats why I am writing this review . DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE ! read more
