I would like to start by saying that I had no problem with the quality of the work that was done…read more Luis and Abel did a good job. They were on time each day and seemed like nice guys. That said, the job would have gone quicker if they had worked more than just a few hours each day. My problem was with the company itself. I hired them because of the generally good posted reviews. Most of the reviews mentioned that Mr. Klein himself was involved with doing and/or supervising the work being done. Not so in my case. The initial response from Yelp after I requested a quote I assume was from Mr. Klein. I was told he was unable to come out for the quote but he was sending someone named Luis, who did come out and work up a quote. He and Abel were the ones that actually did the work, with a third person at my house for just a couple of hours one day. At first Luis told me that Mr. Klein would come around a couple of times to check on things during the one week that they were here. Toward the end of the job I specifically asked about Mr. Klein since I had neither seen nor communicated with him after my quote request. When I asked Luis if my job had been subcontracted to him, he said that it had, and that Mr. Klein would in fact not be coming to our house at all. The fact is that I used this company based upon reviews of the work done for others in which Mr. Klein was usually directly involved. This lack of transparency is not OK. If Mr. Klein was not going to be involved in at least occasional on site supervision of the work, I should have been told that this job would be subcontracted out before I agreed to hire this company. Even if Luis and Abel work for this company on a regular basis, I feel that I should have been told up front that Mr. Klein was not going to be involved. It's just a business transparency thing from my perspective.
