I've always enjoyed my insurance agents which I have had twelve of them all of whom I respect and…read morewho I became friends while working with them. Unfortunately, agent Patterson at the Noah Sisson is absolutely is the least helpful, vindictive, agent I have ever dealt with. This kind of attitude usually happens if you have a claim, have not paid your premium or you are going to switch your car insurance unfortunately, that is not the case here. After listening to her ramblings about why my last insurance agent was a crook and the State Of Illinois had taken over his accounts and given them to the Noah Sisson Agency I had, had ,enough of these libelous accusations leveled regarding my previous agent and requested to cancel and get a refund. Bear in mind, I had known this agent just a short period of time but was beginning to talk with him regarding other policies which I might switch. Noah's agent Patterson then sought to collect money from my account for money on past due premiums which had been paid for in full in past years. This may have been in order should I have made a claim during these periods and they had to pay a claim but I never have ever presented them with any insurance claims. To make a long story short The Illinois State Insurance Agency informed me that they have ______"No enforcement powers and essentially this types of businesses can and do what they want". This came down to deducting money out of my refund and unless I hired a investigator to prove I was fraudulently deprived of my money they would not and could not do anything. So if you really don't want to get a full refund without hassles, having to contact the Illinois Insurance Commission or pay for an investigator and prove fraud yourself, I would suggest driving past this business and consider yourself lucky you didn't have to learn a lesson from your insurance agent like I did. In my opinion, I know twelve other insurance companies that will always treat you legally, in fact , this is one time, just throwing a dart at a dartboard of ads which will yield you a better result. Take it from someone, who is still puzzled that you have to beware of your own insurance Agency which you hire, to insure that you are protected from the unforeseen, only to be fleeced by that very business.

They handle my auto, home, and life policies and the entire office is the perfect mix of knowledgeable, responsive, and actually are fun to talk to (no boring insurance robot!). When my rates went up with my old company, they found me better coverage and saved me almost $700 a year, no gimmicks, just straight-up better pricing. Claims have been painless too--my windshield got cracked last winter and it was fixed the next day with zero hassle. The whole office feels like a local, small-town agency even though they're backed by State Farm's strength. They host community events and genuinely care about families. If you want an agent who treats you like a neighbor instead of a policy number, go see the team at Damon Priddy State Farm. Highly recommend!

Well STate Farm Claims has nit a new low. They are at a loss...perhaps a total loss…read more Had an accident, hit an animal. SF said send pictures and they'd handle it. Sent pics and they sent a check that covered about 1/2 the damage. They said the body shop could call them to get in updated estimate. I had 2 estimates from 2 shops and my choice to finish x was sent a check for a small amount more than the check I got I assumedSF had worked out a settlement for hidden damage with the shop and arranged for repairs. Before parts came I I was able to work out a trade of my damaged car and the repair amounts to a dealer. I asked the body shop for a check for the amount they received, but they said they'd have to return monies to SF and SF would write check. OK. Monies sent to SF and SF sent me a check which, when added to what I'd received earlier was close to 2 estimates, so I was ok. Traded car and repair check for new car. A month later I get a request from SF to reimburse them amount of second check, they claimed was a duplicate payment. Calling SF is an adventure. They say there are wait times of 75-90 minutes to speak to a rep. They offer to call back instead of saying on hold. Sometimes they do, but not always. While finally talking to SF claims, my local agent sends an email saying it's all worked out and not to worry. I don't see the email when sent and I'm still on the phone but put on hold for about 10 minutes while rep further investigates my claim. She comes back on the line band asks a question and again I'm put on hold. After another 10 minutes, the call goes dead as we have been disconnected. Silly me, I expect her to reconnect our call..she has my number, but after an hour I realize she's not going to. That's when I see the note from the agent and drop trying to get a claims department fix. I fully expect SF claims to re-contact me sooner or later to again ask I return the "overpayment" that never happened. It's really sad! Local agent was fine but claims department clueless throughout the entire process.

Here's how it started: I called because I was moving to Illinois and wanted to get a quote for car insurance. The woman on the phone asked for all of my info, what I wanted for coverage, etc. and said someone would call me back. The guy who called took nearly a half hour because instead of doing the work on the back end and getting a quote he decided he was going to ask me all of the exact same questions and just set the policy up at that point in time. Frustrating, but whatever. Then about a month later I get an email saying they're gonna cancel my policy because they haven't received something I was supposed to sign, that I was never told about. I didn't even receive the document so they sent another one to me indicating where to sign. I signed it and sent it off to them. Turns out they needed two signatures not the one they indicated. This time the guy at the office emails me and says that he's sending over a digital copy and I can scan and send it back. So I do. About a week later I get ANOTHER email saying that that actually wasn't good enough. And they're sending the documents to me in the mail, sign them, and send them back. Fine. I do it. Again. The guy at the office emails me and says we should be good to go. Cool. It's November at this point. I have auto pay so I think nothing of it. I logged in earlier this month (January) to find out that I had no access to my policy, and it was cancelled in November. So I had been driving around with no coverage for two months and didn't even know it. I called about it and the guy who had been "helping me" the entire time said he'd look into it. He should have followed up with it initially after all of the problems. He called me back and basically gave me a "it was in cancellation. Trust us you were still covered." Now I have to argue back and forth about payments because they want me to pay for the months where they weren't charging me, but I didn't have access to my policy? I bet if I got in an accident those months they'd fight tooth and nail to say I wasn't covered. Anyway. He finally gets back to me and says that the total will be $191.41. So why did I get a bill yesterday wanting, $459.27? I called another agent to switch to them. This office called me and tried to blame the underwriting department in the company. Hold yourselves accountable. I would never let this office have one of my policies again. It's being run by a bunch of clowns.
