Every experience with AAA for many years on and off has been beneath 1 star. Horrible arrogant service, price gauging and I always pay my 2 bills on a certain date of the month. I paid my auto insurance and renters insurance on december 3, 2025. Sonoma office had a new girl, I had a hunch she would make a mistake. I paid her the full amount due for both and gave her my stubs for both bills. She had been there for 1 week. She sure did make a mistake. They scammed me out of $70.00! I cannot find my reciept which they were supposed to staple it to both stubs on the back. I was sent a notice from AAA that my renters is lapsing after paying them, the office Mayra told me I could pay them again! I was furious, its Christmas time and they not only took my payment Dec 3, they lied to me and would not even research this to hold the new girl accountable. They kept my $70.00 for renters and I met with the snarky manager who said we would have been over book in our drawer that day, hmm they did not even check, he told me bye bye and to leave his office because I was so mad! I drove 40 min. Each way in traffic because of the new girl's mistake! Unreal hell! I told a couple on the way out, do NOT do business with these people they scam people out of their money, the manager ran to the door opened it and said dont listen to this person, come inside! Wow what a cover up! Do NOT do business with any AAA the corporate has done this to me before too and Folsom office is really vile! They lie and will raise your rates if they dont like you. Please stay far away from AAA run! Please trust me! I paid them and they lie through their teeth! Mayra hung up on me too! Unprofessional! Fyi I tried to cancel with them months ago and she would not let me so she lowered my premium as long as she could and I bought a new car and she price gauged me. They are scam artists. Please, keep every reciept, hold them accountable! They hate people, but they love your money so much so that even if you make a payment on time, they will lie in their system and state you did not and they will get their entire office to stand by it and they actually removed my payment from their computer! I pay all of my bills in person and with cash and they knew what they were doing. Do NOT trust these people they are wicked evil snarky and they could not care less! I pray AAA gets theit karma and goes bankrupt for price gauging and scamming innocent people. I am shocked this happened to me, take note stay away from them please. There are better companies out there that truly care. read more

Staff is always friendly and I love that I can pay my dmv things here and not have to drive over and wait in line. Anything AAA related I always talk to Alicia she is the best. She has helped me with all my car insurance and home insurance as well. read more

Have been a member for 18 years no accident or tickets my insurance went up 2k this year ! Every year they have been increasing they said because a lot of cars get stolen in my area lol I live in one of safest towns in the Bay Area to no thefts nothing I hate being lied too ! Also the Sonoma branch has gone totally down hill these people just want to rip us all of off if we let them such a let down I will be changing over to State Farm due to this they charged me the same as I paid 2 years and it's my first year with them I suggest going downtown Sonoma State Farm the guy is great !!! read more

Extremely disappointed in the towing service. Almost a week ago I was away from home and my battery died. I called and was told it would take an hour and half just for the towing dispatch call me. I was shocked. And it did take that long. Then the dispatch said it would be 45 to 80 minutes for a tow truck to arrive. And it was longer. I have never had such poor towing service from AAA and I've been a member for three decades. What happened! This is not good. Is this what we're paying a lot for? I guess we're stuck with them. Very disappointed with Service from local AAA office in Sonoma. Asked for a trip ticket from Sonoma to Portland and was told to write out the route I intended to take. Then was told I had to pay for their tour books. I've had the roadside service for sometime and always receive good service over the phone. I'm glad I have State Farm for my car insurance. AAA, supposed to be so wonderful, as I said, I'm glad I don't have you for my other insurance needs. read more

Horrible Service at AAA Sonoma,Ca. After calling AAA customer service and being told that I could renew my car registration even though I was late on my 10 yr Premiere Roadside Card, I went to the Sonoma office, and I had not one,  but two AAA Sonoma reps, including the manager, refuse my renewal.  After the refusal, I was puzzled. So I went back to my office and called AAA customer service again,  to hear the same info as before. I returned to Sonoma office,demanding to speak to the manager who insisted that this was not possible. By phone I made them call a AAA customer service rep while I stood there, who explained the grace period to Sonoma reps. Shameful to have such untrained and unknowledgeable workers in Sonoma represent AAA, inconveniencing customers and also having extremely foul attitudes. Juana Contreras and manager Jackie Ewing, who said, "I'll put this through this time", regardless of what the policy is, need serious Product  and Customer Service training. I went to have my personalized license plates registered to my car in exchange for the standard plates that were previously registered to the car. The wait in line was very brief as there were two AAA reps handling the DMV counters. My AAA rep handled the entire transaction very quickly, thoroughly and efficiently. He knew exactly what needed to be done and was friendly and couteous. I was very happy with my experience at AAA! read more
