The unit she helped me select was close to the front gate, clean, and dry. The units are not climate controlled. In dealing with both of them during this Pandemic while I had medical problems and lost work is like dealing with two polar opposites. Ray Self Storage have been angels. They answer calls and will keep trying you back to discuss your account. They have worked everything out and now I'm back on track. Securcare however, does not return calls and in fact routs your call to a system where you have to pay and not discuss your account. They are stuck on late charges and liens. You would think after 17 years of being a customer it might make a difference to them but it doesn't. Pandemic or not they're out to make you suffer. If NSA hadn't bought the company they would have gone under. I give them an F.

Beware that the insurance fees that you are paying are deceitful. You may not have the insurance, it may not cover the amount of the so called policy that you are paying for, and that fee may be a ploy for AAA to increase the rate of your monthly rental payment, and not actually applied to an insurance policy. People need to pay close attention to the changes in insurance policies and increases in fees. They will be investigated for these illegal practices.

The prices for units are jacked up every six months or so, due of course to the fact they are holding your possessions hostage. The latest semi-fraudulent scam AAA Storage is running is to add "insurance" charges to the invoices for their units. You are allowed to opt out of their insurance, but after repeatedly providing their offfice with a copy of my own insurance company's invoice clearly showing the effective dates of coverage, I am continuing to be charged for their insurance. There are many noticeable areas of damage to door weatherstripping, downspout drain hoses etc. which are never repaired. Not recommended.

The staff there were super friendly and extremely helpful. The use of the moving truck - for free!! - was a surprise added bonus. I was supposed to keep a single 10 x 20 unit for a month, but ended up with 4 units for two months (to date) Michell Riggs was awesome to work with. She made sure my units were close together for my ease of use and made the whole chaotic and difficult situation a little better - which was very much appreciated! Someone needs to give that lady a raise! :) I've visited the location numerous times to move my belongings out a little at a time and every time, Michell and Julie are friendly and happy to help me in any way possible. Seriously, I can't recommend this place enough. I hope to never have to use it again though! :)

The Home Depot (where we were supposed to pick it up) did not have our truck ready and we were left waiting for 2 hours. From when we arrived and were waiting, they promised it would be there "within 15-20 minutes," yet no one knew what was going on, where the truck was coming from, and where it was. I spoke on the phone with a Penske rep who apologized but could not give an explanation as to why our truck was not there. She just told me to keep waiting. She did refund me $30 for wasting TWO HOURS of my time, my family's time, and the hired movers' time. I will not be using them again, especially at the rates that they charge.
