So, I made myself available by reserving the time on Friday. 9:00am Friday rolls around and there was a no show by the Owner. Therefore, I continued to wait thinking the Owner might be running late. 10:00am then 10:30am, then 11:00am rolls around STILL NO SHOW by Owner of Farris Hardwood Services, even though his business is listed less than 5 miles away. Finally I call James Farris, the Owner at 11:00am. Upon answering the phone, I indicated that I thought (or rather new we had an appointment at 9:00am. He acknowledged that we did, then said that "something come up", and that he met to call me. I then ask why he didn't. James Farris had no answer, but then attempted to commit to another time. I SAID "NO THANKS", DON'T CALL ME, I WILL CALL YOU IF i EVER AND THINK i NEED AND COULD EXPECT TO GET A TRUE COMMITMENT FROM YOU AS TO WHEN TO EXPECT YOU TO PROVIDE THOSE SERVICES.

We both felt the price was reasonable and we decided to move forward with their services. I am back in TC visiting my sister and when I arrived to our house, I was completely blown away at the amount of work that was done and how great the outer area of the house looked after they had been here (last November). I still can't get over how much they did to improve our property for the the amount of money they charged. I would recommend Hammond Tree Service to anyone interested in having bushes, trees, or shrubs trimmed or removed. They are professional, efficient, and they are amazing!!! My experience, however, was of being ignored anything until a long-time neighbor's customer requirements caused Wells to come by. There was also a continued failure to respond to my telephone messages when I had a sprinkler system. I detected a general disinterested in working for me. I suspect that this company has lucrative long-term accounts and does not really care about anyone new. My advice? Consider another provider if you are a new resident in Grand Traverse County.
