The people taking the passport photos are incompetent. They use old technology, and those operating the camera can't properly use it or the ancient printer that tints the photos yellow/orange. They took the photos at a bad angle, and the flash let shadows all over the photos. They also marked up my photo with pen, and it was ultimately denied when I tried to submit it. I really think this AAA office is a gem. I use them often in trip planning, picking up maps, and purchasing event tickets. The cashier in the back is very helpful on which tickets to purchase and gives advise freely on best times of the year to make purchases. They are ALWAYS busy, so don't be put off if there is a line. That means they are doing a service for our community. read more

We have been members of AAA since 1976, when we bought a car thru their auto purchase program...that was in Houston. We have used and relied on AAA for all these years, and have gotten the maps, guidebooks, advise, etc. Never did try the travel agency service, until about this time last year. We decided we wanted to take a River Cruise and just went to get information, and were really pleased when we met Carol Kuhn. She was so very helpful and through her and then the AAA Travel Seminar for European Travel we decided to book a Uniworld River Cruise. We will be taking it this September....but to add to the review, we have already booked and paid for another Uniworld Cruise thru Carol for next year June. She helped coordinate this with the Columbia SC office where our close friends also booked for the same cruise. Carol has been really helpful and gets us all kinds of answers to our questions. We are very pleased and certainly would recommend AAA.....I have also had to use the auto services for battery replacements, flat tires, and towing due to a rodent chewing under the hood. Full disclosure, this review is about AAA in general, not about this store. Be forewarned if you use AAA service to replace dead car batteries they may well not carry the kind you need, and then you'll be out of luck. This happened to me recently. The guy who came out to help me said that AAA was no longer, and had not been for a while, carrying strong enough batteries for my car, and for many other types of car. The last battery AAA had installed was too weak which is why it died before the 3 years were up. He said I could get it replaced elsewhere and submit the charge for reimbursement. AAA are now fighting me on this and telling me I cannot be reimbursed for the cost of the new battery and that I would only be reimbursed for the old battery. I no longer have documentation on that battery replacement. I will cancel my AAA membership after this current membership year if this is not remedied. I don't use any other of their services and will not pay for lack of service such as this. read more

I love this AAA office, but on this day I went in simply to purchase 2 tickets to the Salvadore Dali museum in St. Pete. I waited quite a long time in line - there were 2 agents, and 1 had difficulty with her computer system accepting Canadian guests. The man in front of me took a very long time just to get 2 tickets to a Halloween special. The 2 agents behind the desk kept switching back and forth with who they were helping. About 10 minutes later it was my turn. The woman didn't look me in the eye during the transaction, tried to give me tickets to Dollywood, left me to look at the other computer problem, and finally tried to send me home without my AAA card. She also demanded the name of my guest to the museum, and when I told her, she tried to correct me on the proper pronunciation of his name. Nevermind that she has never met him, and doesn't understand that different cultures pronounce names differently than Americans do. Their desk was a complete mess, and the entire experience took about 1/2 hour of my day. If I go back for tickets ever again I will make sure that those 2 clowns are not working, because it's not worth the aggravation to save a couple of bucks. read more

As long as you have two hours to spend waiting even if you were told to be there as a specific time then it is an OK service . The problem is you have to plan on waiting an hour or more to see a travel agent. At least this has been my experience every time I have used them . They apparently don't make appointments as when I was told to come in a one oclock, I still had to sit and wait an hour for "my turn" Also I was called at home and told to come in and pick up my packet. When I went in to the main counter they had no idea where it was or with whom. I drove 30 minutes to get it and as I had a scheduled appointment elsewhere, I couldn't sit there with all the other people waiting until my packet was located. AAA is very inefficient and wastes customers time. I suggest they try to schedule actual appointments rather than having people sit and wait until they are next. AAA here reminds me of the old days with the motor vehicle bureau; where you just had to go in stand in line no matter if it took hours or not. They are not like that nowadays thank goodness. So why does Naples AAA treat their customers as if everyone has no time constraints. read more
