With a very short deadline and the added complexity of the HPC, Branden made it all go away. Even though I was also a contractor (we are naturally competitive and love to talk smack on other contractors) I found he was very knowledgeable, logical, reasonable, and very approachable. His guys were friendly and thoughtful, the job site was left tidy and there was zero damage to any surrounding area. Bonus points for managing the project in such a way that a big storm mid-roofing didn't cause a leak. Also, the work looks great! I highly recommend him. Especially if you are in the historic area.

I rented a property from this company in 2021 on a one year lease. I paid the security deposit. and…read morerent of $650.00. After one year (In October 2022), they tried to raise my rent based on water usage. The excess usage was being caused by a malfunctioning toilet tank flap, which the landlord replaced previously ion 2022. Since this fixed the excess water usage, I did not sign a new lease with an increased rent, obviously they did this ONLY to recover their money and not because of any water usage I was doing. My water usage was one toilet and one deep sink. After I lost my job and moved out in February 2024, Mr. Spears told me he he was keeping the security deposit because I refused to sign the increased rent lease back in 2022. I told him that I have been a landlord for over 20 years and this was blatantly illegal. I am filing a complaint with the state attorney general for theft. I am also reporting this crime to the local Cambridge Police. This is a dishonest company run by a dishonest person.
