I do not use the storage here, but came for the museum part. They do charge $5 a person to walk through it and only accept cash. WARNING!! WARNING!! WARNING!! My wife and I had stored our belongings and car at Lakeside storage starting in November 2024. Within the 1st week I had to go to our storage only to find water had drops on the hood, deck lid / trunk and the top of our vehicle that were bigger then a silver dollar. I had brought it the the attention of Melissa at the office that says its condensation. I was offereda plastic covering for my vehicle but what would be the pointof renting a inclosedstorage. Melissa and I had taken pictures of the damage due to the water that was dripping where the screws are screwed in to the aluminum sheet metal roofing directly above my vehicle. This issue was happening constantly as it would rain or snow and as the snow would melt. I had asked if the screws had a sealant to keep the water from entering my storage unit. Melissa said that she will contact the maintenance and have them check. The office staff was appoliget and said that we would need to file a claim with the insurance of the storage facility. My wife had done all the necessary forms along with pictures but only to get the run around between the storage facility and there insurance companie. On 1/30/2025 I had gotten a call from the insurance company telling my that there is no structure damage so my car will not be getting fixed the the insurance company of lakeside storage. On 1/312025 I had received a call from the office at lakeside storage telling me that the owner said she is not responsible to the damaged paint on my vehicle. On April 1/2025 I had talked to the maintenance guy that had said he had fixed the roof in January. This is a business that does not care about your belongings that you have worked so hard for. I strongly believe that your property should come out of a inclosed storage, in the same condition it gone in the storage. The owner has conditioned the office staff to say anything that would keep them from paying for any damages to anyone's property as they said " its condensation ". Because they say its condensation they refuse to take responsibility of your damaged property. I would highly recommend anyone who is at lakeside storage to find a professional storage facility. DO NOT rent from aaa lakeside storage unless you want your property damaged. As a residence of Provo we should NOT allow businesses like this to stay in business that have zero integrity/ honesty. As you see the property and how much the owner of lakeside storage appreciates her property, she only wants your money. My review is not for the storage unit itself, but for the museum that is also on this property. My family was staying at the campground across the street from this storage unit and saw a large collection of vintage signs. We looked it up on Google maps and saw a listing for a museum-and went to check it out! At first, it's not clear where to go, so I stopped in to the office just outside the gate. A friendly lady told me we could walk through the door on the gate and walk around to see the signs. So we parked on the street and walked right in. I'd imagine that if you visit after hours when the office is closed, that door will also be locked. So maybe go during office hours to ensure you can get inside. There are plenty of vintage signs, vehicles and figurines to browse through. Everything is lined up along the perimeter of the property line and accessible for pictures up close. Most everything is in pretty good condition-especially for being outside in the elements. If you're a fan of nostalgia or antiques, this is a fun visit! read more

these guys rent out these so-called storage units at the very back of their property. L1 through L 10. They are basically large freight shipping containers. I have told them multiple times that there is condensation on the roof when I visit and they told me that they basically don't believe me. They told me that I can cover my stuff up on the inside with tarps. When we loaded this container, we didn't know there was gonna be a condensation problem, and we stopped it clear up to the top all the way back, there is no way to even get to the stuff in the back, without completely unloading it, which is an impossible task. Then they informed me that this freight is sitting on a space that the power company needs access to, and they are going to use a forklift to move my container and then move it back, and if I am not OK with that, I need to come unload the whole thing, and move all of the belongings to another container, and they give me a weeks notice. Like most people I have a job and this is an impossible situation. I don't have time after work to drive from Taylorsville down to Provo to unload a shipping freight worth of stuff into a new container. not only that, what if I were out of town during that week? They didn't offer any compensation, or even an apology for the stuff that might get ruined. i've basically paid them to destroy my belongings for the last six years. read more

I have used this property several times over the last 10 years and I will NEVER use AAA Lakeside Storage again! I had not stored anything at this property in the last 5 years and things have definitely changed. The new employees are poorly trained, and unprofessional. I was given incorrect information by MULTIPLE employees on several occasions. When I spoke with the General Manager about the issues she was rude and unapologetic. Even if it costs you more money store your items somewhere else!!! _______________________________________________________ The first time I went in to get information one of the employees had his shoes off and was cleaning his toenails I should have turned around and left right away! The other employee who was behind the desk didn't know how to look up empty storage units so I could visually see different sizes. They took me out to their own personal storage unit which was one of the storage units furthest away from the office. They usually drive you in a golf cart, but they said they forgot to charge one and the other was out of service. It was 100 Fahrenheit that day, which normally wouldn't bother me, but walking in hot gravel in a MASK made it extremely uncomfortable. I told them I would only need the unit for about a month and a half and they verbally told me all of the time would be prorated. ( I found out this is NOT accurate) They only prorate partial months when you move IN. Even if you move out on the 5th of the month they charge you for the FULL MONTH!! read more

I've been storing my boat at AAA Lakeside since 2013. I've been so happy with my experience, I have upgraded twice into bigger, nicer units. I love my pull-through unit for storing my boat! The staff is quick to address concerns, and Paris is one of the nicest people I've ever dealt with in customer service. I appreciate the security measures they take as well, in addition to how clean the facility is kept. Great prices, and a really cool setup with all the antique signs, gas pumps, and cars. Definitely the coolest storage facility I've ever been to. I've used two other storage facilities in the past, and neither was anywhere near as impressive all around. read more

I have rented a storage shed for about 4 months. I liked how the shed was clean and power was available out side. The entire storage facility was very clean. I received a receipt through my email for payments made and if my payment was late. I like how the gate was open from 6Am to 11Pm. The ground is not paved but gravel instead. I would have liked it to be paved for easy clean up in front of the storage. This is why only 4 stars instead of 5. read more

We have used the outdoor storage unit for three plus years and have occasionally transitioned in and out of an additional unit. Never had a mischarge and no problems. Only suggestion I would have is that they mount a second gate outlet keypad on the building for coming from the South down the Eastern most travel lane with my fifth wheel. read more

First of all, beware that this place offers discounts for good reviews. We were actually having a good experience here until we came into contact with Darrin. However, we later learned that the previous employee we had dealt with multiple times was kind, but misinformed, which ended up costing us a lot of money. You would think a business would recognize when an employee has made a mistake, but not this one. I can't even think of the last time I've raised my voice with someone in customer service. However, Darrin was so rude and condescending, literally interrupting every sentence I started and talking over me, that I lost my cool with him (which I even later apologized for because no matter how terrible and dishonest a person is, I'd still rather not handle things that way). Terrible, terrible customer service. Moreover, in our first conversation, he told me he was NEW (the exact word he used!) . He told me that he didn't know how it worked, and would need to call and ask the owner. When I later asked to speak to someone else who could help me, he claimed he was the manager and there was nobody else and he knew how it worked. In a third phone call, I asked how long he had worked there (I was curious about someone being brand new who was a manager and unsure of policies), and he told me he had worked there for about a year. I couldn't make this crazy nonsense up if I tried! Basically, this company has some directly conflicting policies. On top of all of the other conflicting information I was given by the different employees, I was told I would lose my deposit if I moved out with less than 2 weeks notice, even though I was already paid up for the next four weeks. Mental gymnastics at its finest. My advice...save yourself the headache and stay far away. read more

Lakeside storage is great. In deciding where I should get a storage unit Lakeside won out because of the availability and friendliness of the staff and the competitive prices. Access in an out of the facility is easy and there is a ton of room to maneuver vehicles in and out. I feel that the facility is monitored well and security is high. read more
