AAA Fire Protection Services was awesome today in taking care of the 5-year fire sprinkler inspection for our business. Other than the normal routine of doing the inspection they ( Jerome the Inspector) went above and beyond in explaining what was been done and why it was being done. These inspections are always expensive partly because there are a lot of responsibilities and insurance requirements in their line of work, but they gave us the best bang for the buck by far compared to anyone else on our shop's fire sprinkler inspection and outstanding service to go along with it. I recommend them highly and being someone who gives the best service in their industry I can easily spot those that do so in theirs. read more

A fire sprinkler pipe was accidentally stepped on in the attic and water was coming out from the pipe and the sprinklers continuously! They took advantage of the situation and charged me $800 for a 30 minute job. 1st this was a poor job done by them and on top of that they charged me $800. read more

They are always very professional and their crew is always very consistent and on time. I have used lower costs cleaners prior but I find AAA more reliable and consistent. Tried using AAA Fire to service the fire extinguishers at my business. The extinguishers had previously been holding pressure just fine, but I need a yearly inspection to satisfy the local fire department. Initially, the service was decent. I had the O-rings replaced per their suggestion. The extinguishers were also inspected, and recharged. One month following their service, one of the extinguishers had lost all of it's pressure. Clearly a bad O-ring. Since the extinguishers had been able to hold pressure for the year prior to the service, it was clear to me that the service performed by AAA Fire was to blame. I called their front desk in good faith to see if they would honor the terms and conditions of their contract which states that there is a manufacturer warranty on replacement parts. Their customer service representative was very rude and told me it must have been my fault since it was fine when they completed the service. But if the O-ring was leaking slowly at the time of service, how could they have known? I am very disappointed that AAA Fire could not replace a $3 O-ring on good faith. I was planning on using AAA Fire to service my business for years to come, but now I do not trust their quality or commitment. Shame. read more

I have a house with a VERY high entryway and one of the caps for the fire sprinkler system fell off. I called several Fire Sprinkler companies and they all wanted to drive a lift into the house or build 20 feet of scaffolding in order to put this little cap back on. Luckily I called Brian at AAA Fire Protection and he took the time to learn about my problem and had me send him a couple pictures. He said he wanted to call one of his suppliers to research solutions and would get back to me. 2 days later his technician, Kimo came to my house with a footstool and an extension pole with a special attachment on it and PRESTO! the cap was on in about 5 minutes! No lifts, no scaffolding: just a solution! Really appreciate his customer service and Kimo's friendly professionalism and will call them again for sure ! read more

I would have this company charged with extortion if I could.They should be investigated! All they did was cut one hole (which wasn't where the leak was), and then charged me $300! After my contractor found the leak and cut open the wall so it could be fixed, AaA came back and glued a $10 piece of pipe in with the help of my contractor,(they didn't know how to do it) and then tried to collect another $517. Again they refused to provide any estimates or work orders. I sent them a certified letter disputing their bill but instead of contacting me to work it out, they are still harassing me for payment. read more

What a horrible service. They came out to do a yearly recertification on my restaurant's fire suppression system. The guy who was doing the job said he just started 8 months ago. At the end of the job I noticed him laying down on his back and trying to light a pilot light with a long BBQ style lighter i found that kind of peculiar so I took a pic. After 5 minutes of taking the pic he said the job was done So I paid him and I thought that was that. However, when I tred to turn on the oven the next morning I noticed that the pilot light was out. I used my own BBQ style lighter to light the pilot light. It came on for a few minutes and kept going off. I tried about 5 times. So I called the AAA Fire Protection and supposedly a Sr. technician came by. When he came by he kept saying they do not touch pilot lights at all and he said he'd been doing this for 8 years and poked his finger at my stomach and trying to lecture me. Well, i"ve been in a restaurant business for over 30 years and never had this kind of unprofessional experience. So he just left without fixing the oven. The next day, the owner of the company (Brent) came by and tried to fix the oven but failed. He said I probably need to change the thermal couple. So I wasted my valuable time and money to go to Home Depot. I changed the thermal couple but the light still going out. BEFOR THEY DO THE INSPECTION MY OVEN WAS WORKING FINE. PILOT LIGHT NEVER WENT OUT. I finally called the appliance repair and they said it was the pilot light that need to be replaced. I spent $500 of my own money for parts and labor. I showed and sent an email to the owner, Brent. with a pic where the first technician was laying down on his back and try to light the pilot light. I asked him to explain this but no reply. I thought about taking them to small claims court but decided not to because I am just too busy. They should be lucky that I didnt sue them. Also, about a month later they sent me a bill to pay which I already paid to that servc. technician. All this occurred last March. However, I decided to give them another chance and called them last March, 2016 and left a message with Jessica and Brent but never got a return call. They have no clue what they are doing. You people at AAA Fire, if you would like to see the pic AGAIN of your technician laying down on his back and try to light a pilot light, let me know. I still have it on my cell. read more

We had this company do some service on our fire protection system. They came out, said we needed a major service, did not give a price quote, and then presented a bill for over $1200, when their service in the past has cost about $500. Then someone in their office called and was extremely unpleasant about receiving payment for the service. Not good customer relations to have surly people calling regarding payment. read more

I was building out a commercial space for my office relocation: Two floors of remodeling. I had already given notice to my landlord that I was moving out of my old, leased office and was three weeks away from my deadline to vacate and move into my almost built-out space when a building inspector dropped by and said about a dozen sprinkler heads had to be moved. I was in a panic. San Francisco is in the midst of a building boom and finding a licensed contractor to do this work on short notice was an almost impossible task. I called, my contractor called, friends called, everyone called. Finally got ahold of AAA Fire. They said they could do the job within a week. "Everybody promises they can get a job done within a week," I thought. Let's see. Sure enough, AAA Fire delivered, drew up the plans, got the permits, did the job quickly, on time and with a very reasonable price. AAA has serviced and maintained the restaurant I work in, off and on for 14 years. I have had problems with poor communication from them in the past. Today after making me wait 3 week for a quote they decided I'm to far away to service any more. I was told they don't make any money coming to my site. I thought this was an odd thing to say before giving me a quote. I know I'm remote and expect to pay more for travel costs. This is a bad way to treat people. read more

Don't do business with this company. This company also operates from Union City. They showed up very late, with no tools and no spare parts. The guys were very ill prepared and damaged my house; they had to make a run to another city to get the standard parts they should have had. Also, the crew spoke very little English. Couldn't be more miserable from hiring this company. They agreed to do the job in one month because I had high carrying costs - took almost 4 months. 90% of delays attributable to them. Fail inspection, show up very late for inspection, don't show when have appts., show when no appt., have to redo plans several times because they fail to make corrections clearly spelled out to them. Told me my responsibility to go to city with plans after city found problems in their work. I find everything is a struggle. He told me don't want to come to next inspection as they had been there too many times. If they had done it right the first place. Sloppy, sloppy work and I don't believe they care. Broke some of my stuff twice - no apology and on and on and on. Reduced my bill a small amount compared to tremendous losses I incurred. Never ending problems. Pres. of co. told me delays were my fault since I didn't contact him and only worked with his est. His estimator was a sr. estimator who worked w. co. 8 years and I should not have relied on him for rush? I was never advised to work with anyone else. Then the Pres. said he wanted to meet w. me and would prepare a time line for delays. Then he refused to do that or talk to me. Then put someone else in charge who I find is even more difficult - I find him to "never be wrong". I met someone else who was having sprinkler work done and he told me he was told not to get a bid from them. read more

I am an electric contractor and I had the misfortunes to work in conjunction with this company. For a year I have been trying to finish a job at a business in San Mateo. So far they have refused to connect the Fire Damper with the lights for exhaust system. I agreed to connect it, for the owner of the business is my friend. I have worked in this industry for over 10 years. And I never ever had to do this part of the Project. And yet when I told them that it was their responsibility to do the connection; they refused to do it and told me that it was my responsibility. Even though it is not my responsibility; I did not mind doing it, for I like challenges. Moreover, for the last 2 weeks, I have been trying to coordinate the final inspection and so far no body has return my phone calls.
