AAA I left a review of my experiences with my local Elk Grove AAA office and the customer representatives in their bay area office in early December 2014. Apparently, someone by the name of Art, from the customer service department reads these reviews. He contacted me to see if he could find out why things went so bad and why agents and reps failed to call me back when they said they would. Eventually my original problem was resolved ...by my own actions...I took steps to overcome the errors AAA staff made. Art contacted wanting to help. Since the problem was finally resolved I was reluctant to give Art my policy number and name figuring what could he do for me...?? He kept asking me for my info....so I gave it to him on Dec. 23, 2014. Today is Jan. 9, 2015.....I haven't heard diddly squat. I'm just shaking my head cracking up. If he contacts me again....I'll just delete his message. Jan. 113, 2015 WELL LOW AND BEHOLD...ART CONTACTED ME TODAY. Apologizing for dropping the ball...how nice. He also stated that he was glad that I finally resolved the issue... Art...I told you I had resolved it when you contacted me..which is why I hesitated giving you my name and policy number..it was too late...what could you do about your agents not calling me back when they told me that they would? But I finally gave in...and gave you my information. You told me you would not only look into it..but check my policies to see if they were in order...lol....and that was the last I heard from you. Knock knock...is there anybody home?????? Then today..I got a call from somebody at AAA...I hope its not you. Yes people...that person left me a message...wanting to help....LOL is this a vaudeville show or what? JAN 15, 2015 And the saga continues... It would be nice to know beforehand masks are required. Theres no info stating such when i looked up the store on yelp or google. When I arrived and waited in line there was no signs stating such. I was told nothing by anyone at the front door who worked at this location. I was in line for about ten mins out front before even being allowed in. Not one single person said anything until the very second i was gonna be let in the door. There were about three different employees that came out to usher people in. I was told i needed a mask just seconds after telling me i need to pay with card, but only at the door entrance once I waited the entire time. I was told I cant come in without one. I was pretty much being ushered away a lot quicker then the time i spent inline. It wasnt until I asked if they had a mask to provide sense this was their mandate that they said they did. I wasnt told they would give me one until i asked, just that I cant come in with a blank stare and a cavalier oh well attitude. I was giving one after I ASKED which then i put it on. I covered my mouth but left my nose slightly uncovered because i cant breath with a mask on. It causes me to get dizzy, and have anxiety. I was told by the man who i was pawned off to by the women at the front door that i needed to have it over my nose. I responded that the mask is to stop droplets, and I have it over my mouth to prevent droplets. The man said the same thing. I HAVE to put it over my nose. So I proceeded to tell him the same thing. Im covering my mouth and theres no way my nose causes droplets to spew onto anyone. My nose has no implications when spreading droplets. NONE. So dont think you need to save my life by FORCING me to put masks over my nose. I don't appreciate being forced to breath back in CO2, and causing me anxiety because I am claustrophobic. The same man who demanded i put the mask over my nose encroached the 6ft social distancing bubble in an aggressive manner. So in that case its ok to break the social distancing guidelines when forcing others to put the mask over their nose after its already over their mouth and does absolutely NOTHING to help the spreed by placing over the nose? If masks are ABSOLUTELY mandatory how about you make an announcement? Send an email to people who are members? Costco did it, and I dont go there anymore. Make commercials stating such. Make announcements to people standing in line before making them stand there for 10-15 mins. Now even the WHO says A systematic are not as contagious as thought. read more

Since my AAA agent is taking an extended vacation and is no long with the company I visited my local AAA office for my renewal this year. The office itself is easy to find and in a great location, however finding the front door is a bit of an adventure the first time. The building faces Laguna but doesn't have any immediate parking. You will want to park in front of Citibank and then walk to the front of the building from that side (I ended up walking around the entire building looking for the door). The interior of the office is nice and clean. I can only guess that this location is always busy given that many AAA members come here to also renew their registration and get new tags. Because I was there to pay for my membership renewal I was seated with one of the customer service reps. Stephanie was great! She took the time to help me with my issue (AAA pulled my membership renewal out of an account I closed a year and a half ago, so we had to get that fixed) and was very patient. The customer service rep she had to call however wasn't the bright bulb in the pack so we weren't able to resolve me issue during this visit. However Stephanie took down my email and was going to watch my account for the payment to bounce back and then contact me so that we can resolve it. Overall a great experience! My only complaint is that with how many agents are in the building, only Stephanie was going through the line to see if she could help anyone at her desk. I'm sure the other agents were busy, but it just made me feel like I was an unappreciated member (well until Stephanie grabbed me anyways). read more

I was getting a quote for the fiance's classic car and had no idea what the answers to his specific questions about the car were. He did not make me feel dumb at all but walked me through the answers based on what I did know. The line tends to be very long compared to the Greenhaven / Pocket branch. You get conflicting DMV information based on the agent. First one said it's not possible but I came back the next day as South Sacramento DMV was too busy and the second agent fixed it all up. After almost 35 years having AAA, we are not renewing our membership. We, called AAA travel for Disney tickets, were told can't pay online, go to Laguna office. We get there, are informed they not only do not have the tickets, (we have a toddler so we're purchasing 3 day passes to one park per day) , but have only park hopper and the price was about $60 more per ticket. We showed them the proof, price etc. and asked them to please just adjust the price because we had made the flight and hotel reservations according the information were given over the phone by AAA travel (Added one night at hotel and postponed the flight by another day) this would really have not been a big deal if the manager and branch director did not treat us so badly. After being in the office for about 2 hours, we left and called the travel department again. Held for 45 min, transferred about 6 times ( not kidding) finally at about 830 pm, were told they would adjust the prices, ( again, I was not folding due to the poor customer service and condescending attitude by the branch director Will Stallworth......(he's a real peach) and they'd call me in the morning. I ended up calling their corporate office and was told they'd make it right. Waited for a call back, about 2.5 hours was told the computer isn't capable of adjusting. I was so disgusted with all the wasted time, more the run around I got and decided We will not be renewing our membership with a company that is ok with treating their customers like they don't matter enough to honor their word. Bottom line is, they treated us like we were stupid, didn't have the decency to talk to me face to face ( this refers to the manager at Laguna and the condescending Will Stallworth) and of course that makes it easier for their cowardly behavior to do this over the phone. Not ok with this at all, not about the price, it's about them honoring their word and treatment of their loyal members. read more

I left my inside car light on, so my battery died; every one of the three employees I worked with was friendly and efficient, and I was very impressed by the service! I called them at around 9:15 pm (I was safe at home) and the ladies who helped me on the phone were very friendly and efficient, and sent a truck my way very quickly. The truck arrived about 20 minutes later and the guy jump-started my car, and even drove with me to the gas station, since my gas meter was showing as completely empty, and my battery would die again if I turned the car off to pump gas. This review isn't pertaining to anyone that works at this branch, however it is about a claims adjuster that was assigned to my incident that happened 2 weeks ago. Jennifer Greenwood was assigned to my claim and she ONLY contacted me once through a phone call and couldn't reach me ,however, when i called her, it went to her voicemail which i had left a message (this call was made during her available hours). She then sent me an e-mail , and I responded back to her a few hours later only to receive a message saying she will be out the next day until the following week. I then called her supervisor Christian Lucitty because i needed my claim expedited due to certain circumstances and got his voicemail and left a message. Its been 2 weeks and Jennifer Greenwood nor her supervisor had contacted me about my claim. Mind you i have been trying to contact her throughout the 2 weeks with no avail. I am highly upset with AAA! My elderly father and my sick brother have been waiting for a battery jump for the past 3 hours!!!! The estimated wait times were changing constantly, and I called Roadside Assistance because the area they are stuck in is not good and I work far and can not get to them... I got transferred to the Utah call center and spoke to a highly rude lady named (Timaria) who told me that in my area, we only have 1 tow company service for the whole NIGHT AND THAT THAT IS THE USUAL AMOUNT!!!!! Are you kidding me!? I question that what if I was stranded somewhere she said 'then you call 911' , but other than that she can't help. She also said that the dispatcher has two calls that were waiting longer than me; this is not acceptable. Three hours just for an emergency jumpstart and there was no other dispatcher that could help, and when I asked for the phone number to dispatcher she refuses and told me she can't because she felt I would harass him! I have the right to have the dispatchers number and I have been a customer with AAA since 2015. I have never regretted my decision to be with this company but things will be changing. AAA will be losing several customers after this incident between my family and friends. read more

I called AAA's number on Laguna Blvd in Elk Grove and my call went to a Call Center, I asked does AAA do passport set up, photos, etc...the call center rep, said that AAA only does the photo's for passport, nothing else, at all AAA sites. So don't waste your time if you need a brand new passport. read more

I have been using AAA auto insurance for almost 40 years. When I first became an AAA member they were a very respectable insurance company. I was involved in a fender bender while backing up in a parking lot on March 10, 2012. The other person involved also had AAA as their insurance carrier. They turned in their claim before I did and a claims adjuster from AAA insurance called me telling me she was going to be the claims adjuster for both parties involved and she would take care of everything. There was not much to take care of on my behalf since my vehicle did not sustain any damage. A couple of weeks later I got a letter from DMV saying I needed to file an accident report. I called and talked to someone from AAA and they assured me they would take care of it. I never received anything from either my insurance company or DMV that it had not been taken care of. December of 2012 my insurance went up by $800 a year. When I asked why it went up so much they told me it was because of the accident. In November of 2013 I noticed they had raised my insurance policy another $600 dollars to over $2600s a year so I went into AAA to speak with my agent. My agent was not in the office at the time so I spoke with another agent that informed me that my driver's license had been suspended for a year and a half because I failed to file an accident report with DMV. I was absolutely shocked by this revelation. The idea of what would have happened had I been pulled over during this period of time sent shivers down my spine. When I asked him why they renewed my insurance the year before when they knew I did not have a license and why didn't they tell me I did not have a license when I asked why my insurance rate had skyrocketed so much the year before. Even more importantly, why did they not file the proper reports like they promised me they would? He replied that it was not their responsibility and that they didn't have any record of me calling them. He also told me that they are the only insurance company that files accident reports and proof of insurance for their policy holders. He thoroughly went over both my DMV records and my AAA history and assured me that I only had one point against my record and that I needed to take care of my license problem with DMV. (I have not had a moving violation in almost thirty years.) The agent gave me the financial responsibility information to give to DMV showing that I was covered at the time of the accident along with the right forms to fill out and take to DMV. He refused to give me a copy of the accident report or any of the information that is required on the bottom part of the DMV form about the other driver. I did not even have their name or any information as to the extent of damage to their car which is information required on the lower portion of the form. You know, the part they failed to fill out for me in the first place along with not telling me that the cost of repairs for the other driver was over a thousand dollars which was the reason why I had to turn in an accident report. He claimed it was against their policy to divulge that information. He also assured me that if I could get this taken care of, my insurance premium would go down to somewhere around $1400 a year. When I showed up for my appointment at my local DMV office, I was informed by the clerk that my insurance company had made a mistake and she gave me a number to call and talk to someone in the financial responsibility department. When I called the lady at the financial responsibility office and gave her my case number that the clerk at the DMV office had provided me, she told me she did not understand why my insurance carrier sent in the information for their other member and did not complete the bottom portion of the form with my information as is required. I told her that the AAA agent had told me that AAA was the only insurance company that files these forms for their clients and she laughed and said that most insurance companies do this for their client but that AAA was one of the worst companies about filing the forms, but that still did not explain why AAA did not complete the bottom portion of the form. This rate is for the AAA Life Insurance I was sent in the mail a really good offer for life insurance for $25 premium a month it sounded like a good offer so I signed up me and I went ahead send off the little acceptance card they sent and they sent me the policy now I know I should have read it but sometimes I just don't have time to do all that stuff I was just felt comfortable that I had it well a year later to the day they send me a notice saying that it's going to go up to $32 now so I call and I'm like what's going on I only wanted to sign up for the $25 premium she goes on to tell me where l you signed up for the five-year this this that and it changes when your birthday hits either a 0 or a 5 and I just signed up for last year so yeah when I signed up my birthday was still a zero and they didn't make me pay another premium this year my birthday is in for another couple months and it's going to be changing to a one at the end which makes no sense at all and if they're going to put that why you can put the prices in there anyways AAA you are one of those companies who puts this garbage in the fine print and basically rips us off for a year of our money paid towards a premium which we thought was going to stay so you get a minus in my book that's garbage and any company that tries to rob people of their money but in fine print you should be ashamed of yourselves and I hope you go under soon because I guarantee you will read more

I called the AAA office to inquire about my payment card on file and the representative that helped me was mind-blowingly rude. This is the first review I've ever done of anywhere and I've had my fair share of rude interactions just like everyone else but this took the cake. First, her answering the phone was rude but I didn't think anything of it because everyone has bad days and it happens. I told her that the wrong card was being charged for my membership and I wanted to change it. She read me the card on file and I told her that's the card it should be and asked why a different card was being charged the last two months. She then very rudely and degradingly said something along the lines of "oh if you're talking about monthly then that's auto insurance and not membership. If you would have told me the right thing and not the wrong thing from the beginning then I would have given you the correct response. But you told me the wrong thing." AND THEN SHE SNICKERED. That's the part I was blown away by was the fact that she did the most sarcastic and degrading laugh. I apologize that I didn't realize there was a difference between membership and auto insurance because I genuinely thought auto insurance was part of my membership but there were so many more ways to have informed me of that. She was vile and I don't understand how she works in customer service. read more
