I rarely write reviews, but I had to today! Andres is the guy you want to talked to! I originally came in to pay my bill and he informed me my policy was ending today. Instead of going into another 6 month agreement with an insurance I wasn't happy with. He found me a different policy saving me 75$ a month. It was a great experience all around :). He was kind, personable, friendly, fast, and most importantly showed concern for saving me (the customer) the most amount of money possible. I will be contacting him and him only from here on out! First off understand, even though it's 2024 and we have Docuaign and scanners, if you sell a car and want to cancel the insurance you have to go in the store! And when you go in the agent or whatever he is, customer service person was treating me like I was dumb for coming into the store when I was told to come in to cancel. I walked in the door and the unprofessional agent ask what I wanted? I told him sold car and need to cancel insurance, he said oh it's gonna be 30 minutes why don't you come back . He was not only professional with a great attitude, he was quick and helped solve 3 of my issues within the span of 15 minutes. !!!!!!!!READ BELOW BEFORE CALLING!!!!!!! Edit: The agent listed below promised to contact us 30days after the policy was active in order to elevate the policy from liability to full coverage. Several months passed and I never heard from him. I literally had one email from these guys and had to search my tail off to figure out who brokered the deal. I finally found and text the agent. He was all of a sudden "sick" when in actuality he was on vacation for a week (as per office) Lies, deceit and lack of follow up are horrible practices in business and are completely reflective of the training and leadership Cost U Less entails. He then started spam calling me a week later in earnest need of keeping us as a client! Not when we needed him, but when he needed to recoup his vacation spening! I was ripped off and told no one offers full coverage in California, that was a lie, I was also told I would have full coverage in a month, another lie, being told a follow up call would happen was another lie! DO NOT USE THIS BROKERAGE FIRM, THEY CHARGE 250$ IN BROKER FEES JUST TO INITIATE A 6MONTH GENERAL LIABILTY POLICY. I will never in my life use this agent, brokerage firm, or anything named Cost-U-Less especially considering the egregious fees and horrible business practices Kulbir did a great job getting my Wife a policy. California is a pain in the you know what with full coverage but he was able to get us started with a promise to look back into it within the next few weeks. Horrible!! Broker told me I got full coverage. NOPE!!! My Car was totaled when parked by hit and run. The insurance they provided did not want to tow my car and to top it off they didn't want to cover damages because broker lied to them During investigation. Supposedly I was told about every detail in my policy, LIES!!! So now I'm stuck with a totaled car and no money to buy anything. A NIGHTMARE!!! Don't trust them just because they say it's cheaper. WELL IM OUT OVER 2000 DOLLARS AND ITS BEEN SINCE MARCH 30, 2020 (TODAYS DATE MAY 12, 2020) I was given an incorrect quote which I paid and had to cancel the day after finding out the remaining balance for an ANNUAL payment; $800 Dollars. The representative that helped me was NAYELI CUATECONZTI; She without asking passed my INFO and number to her brother JOHNNY CUATECONTZI whom called me shortly after I received an incorrect quote by his sister. I had NO IDEA who this person was but he knew all my business; I went along with it after he told me it was his sister that I spoke with and HE GOT MY annual payment down from her by $300!; BUT, he used all my GIRLFRIENDS CAR info as I found out days later by his quote in my email. I went with is sister incorrect quote and had to cancel BRANCH MANAGER MITCHELLE CORTES: STRIKE ONE: Telling Me it was Direct Deposit when it was going to be MAILED; TWO: Miscommunicating with company cancelled with extending wait from mid April to EARLY MAY. 3: after a rep telling me the check was sent on X date you stated it was done days in the future (Prolonging wait on MY money). 4: Saying "OOPS I READ SOMETHING ELSE" after me asking you to double check what day the check was sent! (I had PREVIOUSLY talked with a rep EARLIER prior to calling on the 12th OF MAY 2020 (unbeknownst to you) whom told me the check was sent several days before the date you stated when asked on the 12th of MAY. PLEASE, this is not made up. Im not even 30 and Proud to say I am a home owner; but this has honestly through a curve financially and has had a significant impact living/bills. Don't let this happen to you avoid them if you can! Cortes has been Unprofessional in her miscommunication regarding getting funds BACK to people. Her staffs knowledge on product cost (car insurance) needs improvement. She has neglected to step up to her responsibility WITH communication BY calling people (ME) back about issues as such. Answered all my questions I had before I had time to ask, out of all Topher helped me get the lowest insurance rates I've ever had on any vehicle. He also had me in and out in about 30 minutes. And I've had many agents tell me they'd be done within a certain time and 2-1/2 hours later I'm still signing papers. My experience with Kathy the "manager" at this location was hands down without a doubt the worst customer experience of my life. I was transferred to her to let her know one of her employees was laughing at my mom and making her feel uncomfortable. She spent five minutes telling me reasons why I could have heard him wrong or what he was laughing at in the background when he eve said to me "I apologize I shouldn't have laughed at her". Anyways she brushed it under the rug and then I said I did not want to finish my policy through her because she was not addressing the issue. She started being rude and yelling and talking over everything I was saying. I told her she was being so rude and that she is supposed to treat the customer like they are always right now yell at them. She says "I know that, I learned that in sixth grade". After all her comments I asked for her name. She said "no I already gave you my name at the beginning. That's right. SHE REFUSED TO GIVE ME HER NAME. For about five minutes I told her she has to give me her name which she still refused to do. The conversation escalated into a yelling match and that is when I hung up and made a call to the corporate offices. While on the phone with them she called back to give my her name and bosses phone number.( because she realized how dumb it was to not tell me I'm sure ) but obviously I had already found out her name. Since this experience two days ago she will not stop calling my phone to "finish the policy". Literally four times in a row she will call. Obviously sarcastically. Needless to say she is a pretty disgusting human being for some of the comments she made not mentioned. I feel very sorry for anyone who has ever had to work with her including her family. Also after my 7 years with cost u less I have parted ways and will be passing on my experience as I feel nothing was taken care of with this situation.
